NFC East Game Previews – Cowboys vs Cardinals
The Dallas Cowboys will look to take one step closer to this season’s NFC East Division title with a win over a past East rival, the Arizona Cardinals this Sunday afternoon in Phoenix.

Dallas was able to open-up a one game lead in the NFC East with a 20-19 squeaker over Miami on Thanksgiving Day as a seven-point home favorite. While it has not always been pretty, the Cowboys are now 7-4 straight-up on the year but just 4-6-1 against the spread. The total has gone 5-6 in their 11 games.
Tony Romo once again shined in the month of November, leading his team to four straight wins, but the calendar has turned the page to December which has presented problems for the Cowboys’ signal-caller in the past. This will be a crucial test for Romo and the offense to prove that the last four games were not a fluke.
Arizona is already riding out the string at 4-7 SU, but remains respectable ATS at 6-5. It is coming off a 23-20 win over St. Louis this past Sunday as a one-point road underdog. The total went ‘over’ the 40-point line against the Rams and is now 5-6 in 11 games this year. [soliloquy id=”82219″]
The Cardinals are hoping to have Kevin Kolb back for this game after missing the last four games with a foot injury. While he has yet to live up to the lofty expectations he brought with him from Philadelphia, he can only help an Arizona offense that has averaged just 17.5 points a game in his absence.
Dallas is 1-4 ATS in its last five games and 3-12-1 ATS in its last 16 games as a favorite. The total has gone ‘over’ in eight of its last 11 games on the road.
Arizona is 4-1 ATS in its last five games and 5-15-1 ATS in its last 21 games as an underdog of 3.5 points or more. The total has gone ‘over’ in five of its last six home games.
Last season, the Cardinals stunned the Cowboys 27-26 as seven-point home underdogs. While Dallas once again finds a way to pull out the win, stick with Arizona to cover with the 4.5 points.
