The Dallas Cowboys will look to extend their winning streak to three games while handing the Washington Redskins their sixth-straight loss when the two NFC East foes square-off this Sunday afternoon at FedEx Field. The kick-off is slated for 1 p.m. (ET) and the game will be broadcast nationally on FOX.

We are still waiting for the real Dallas team to show up, but after last week’s 44-7 blasting of Buffalo as 4.5-point home favorites, the Cowboys may finally be poised for second-half run at the division title. They are now 5-4 straight-up (4-4-1 against the spread) and just a game in back of 6-3 New York. The total went ‘over’ the 48.5-point line against the Bills and is now 4-5 on the year.
One injury note for Dallas that bears watching is rookie running back DeMarco Murray. He has stepped in for the injured Felix Jones over the past few weeks to give the Cowboys a much needed running game, but he is currently listed as questionable for Sunday with a shoulder injury of his own.
Washington came out of the blocks hot with a 3-1 start, but it has come completely unraveled from there with five straight losses. Last Sunday it lost to one-win Miami 20-9 as a four-point road underdog. The Redskins are now 3-6 both SU and ATS and the total has stayed ‘under’ in seven of their nine games. [soliloquy id=”82219″]
It does not seem to matter who is the starting quarterback for Washington considering that the team is ranked 28th in the league in scoring with an average of just 15.1 points a game. Things have been even worse over the past three games with a combined total of 20 points.
The Cowboys are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games on the road and the total has stayed ‘under’ in four of their last five games against the NFC.
The Redskins are 2-5-2 ATS in their last nine games at home. The total has stayed ‘under’ in five of their last six games against the NFC.
Head-to-head in this series, Dallas is 9-4 ATS in its last 13 trips to Washington and the total has stayed ‘under’ in four of the last five games played there. Although nine points is a lot to give up on the road in a division rivalry such as this, stick with the Cowboys to win and cover in a battle of two teams headed in completely different directions.
