2015 Broncos Preview & NFL Football Future Lines & Pick

2015 Denver Broncos Season Predictions

For most teams, what John Fox did during his time with Denver, he’d be given a massive contract extension. While with the Broncos, Fox won 4 division titles in as many years, won 46 times during the regular season, and even appeared in a Super Bowl.

Maybe he needed to win that Super Bowl? Because following the 2014 season, John Fox was relieved of his duties.

Now the Broncos begin a new chapter with Gary Kubiak calling the shots. A long time friend of John Elway, Kubiak will be walking into what is likely Peyton Manning’s last season.

In 2014, Manning 4727 yards and 29 touchdowns. His numbers clearly faded as the season got deeper though. In the Broncos playoff lost to Indianapolis, he was just 26 for 46 with only 211 yards. Manning questioned whether or not to call it quits following last season, but decided to give it one more go.

The way the opposition proved to beat the Broncos last season was to put endless amounts of pressure on Manning and force him to move. His maneuverability was sub par. Should Manning go down in 2015, his backup will likely be Brock Osweiler. Over the past 3 seasons, Osweiler hasn’t gotten much action.

In terms of running back, C.J. Anderson has solidified himself as the team’s number 1. His strong 2nd half led him to the top of the depth chart. Anderson has showed off his dual threat ability as he rushed for 849 yards and caught 34 passes for 324 yards. Anderson will have Montee Ball, the former #1, behind him. Ball has proven himself as a solid short yardage back, but his inability to have breakaway speed or pick up giant chunks of yards has put him at #2.

While the Broncos have been known to have some of the best receivers in the game, that is thanks in large part to Manning making his teammates better. Out wide for Manning will be Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders. The duo offers a wide variety of speed and strength that makes easy targets for Manning. The pair had 212 receptions combined in 2014 and caught 20 touchdowns.

As far as the tight end situation is concerned, Julius Thomas, who was a threatening as the receivers, has departed from Denver. Given that, Owen Daniels will be the go to tight end. Daniels was with Kubiak in Houston and is clearly familiar with the system.

The Broncos defense is highlighted by many top tier names. Aquib Talib highlights the secondary. Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware complete one of the best linebacking cores in the NFL.

2015 Denver Broncos Season Prediction:

The Broncos are still easily the class of the AFC West. While the Chiefs and and Chargers aren’t far off, Peyton Manning is still the best.

Health is obviously a major concern for Manning. The Broncos have done a solid job to build an offensive line around him to protect him from getting put under pressure.

Barring an injury to Manning, the Broncos are likely headed to another AFC West Title and a post season appearance.
