The Buffaloes are also reeling from defeat, having fallen in Eugene, Ore. to the No. 2 Oregon Ducks, 44-10.

Utah

Utah has acclimated well to Pac-12 competition. Although last week’s blunder against Arizona doesn’t show it, this team has adjusted since joining the conference and has become a much more competitive team over the past two years.

Entering this one, the goal will be to not overlook an opponent who hasn’t adjusted as well as they have. Colorado joined the conference at the same time as the Utes, but they’re 0-8 in conference play this season (Utah is .500 against Pac-12 opponents).

So far this season, the Utes are allowing a respectable 25.5 points per game; although, that number is only good enough for 61st in the country.

The team is 62nd in terms of points scored (29.5 per game), and it’s doing it while throwing 188.2 yards per contest (104th) and rushing for 180.7 yards per contest (50th).

Colorado

The Colorado Buffaloes have had a tough time defending this season. They’re giving up 39.1 points per contest, which is only good enough for 121st in the country.

Furthermore, the team is struggling against both the pass and the run. Colorado is 97th in passing yards allowed, 108th in rushing yards allowed and 112th in total yards allowed.

Offensively, the pass is the only area where this team has found any semblance of success. It’s thrown for 281.6 yards per game, which is good enough for 22nd in the nation.

In total, this team is scoring 28 points per game, which is 74th in the rankings.

Unfortunately, that’s a point margin of 11.1 points per game in their opponents’ favors, which is hardly conducive to winning at any level.

NCAA Football Handicapping Trends:

  • Under is 7-1-1 in UTAH last 9 games overall.
  • Under is 12-3-1 in UTAH last 16 conference games.
  • UTAH are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games overall.

Week 14 NCAA Football

The good news for Colorado is that the Utes are hardly the Oregon Ducks. Oregon put up 44 points on the Buffaloes one week ago, and that shouldn’t be the case this week.

The bad news? They’re still going up against a ranked opponent.

4* Free NCAA Betting Pick Utah -9

The Utes may be struggling a bit as of late, but nothing boosts confidence (and production) like playing the worst team in your conference.

Against the Buffaloes, Utah should regain both its confidence and its production. Despite last week’s disappointment, the team is still a top-25 program.

Look for the Utes to end the regular season on a high note with a solid win against Colorado.
