Oklahoma State is just 2-6 on the road this year. Keiton Page is not your typical point guard. He is only 5’9 and he is more of a spot up shooter than anything else, but he is hitting only 37.9% from the floor this year.
Le’Bryan Nash is a super-talented freshman for the Cowboys. Nash can get to the basket with the best of them, and his athleticism is off the charts. Oklahoma State has two big problems on offense: they don’t have anyone who is a low post scorer, and they shoot only 30% from three-point range as a team. [soliloquy id=”82219″]
It makes it difficult to drive the lane when you have both of these problems. The Cowboys shoot just 41.5% as a team from the floor.
Missouri has been a huge surprise this season. Frank Haith wasn’t necessarily a popular hire at the time, but he has done a great job with this team.
They still play an uptempo game, but they have improved on the defensive end of the floor, especially in the half court. Marcus Denmon and Kim English are both guys who can light it up from outside for the Tigers. Ricardo Ratcliffe leads the nation in field goal percentage at 73.7%. Phil Pressey is a great facilitator for this offense from the point guard position.
This is a team that moves the ball around extremely well, and they take good shots on almost every possession. Missouri is third in the nation in field goal percentage at 50% from the floor as a team.
This is a team that could make some serious noise this March.
Missouri should get its revenge in a big way here. Oklahoma State isn’t particularly good at handling pressure, and the Cowboys have been terrible on the road.
