Struggling Bosh, Raptors will try to find form against Sacramento

Team records:
Toronto: 32-30 SU, 29-33 ATS
Sacramento: 21-43 SU, 32-30-2 ATS

The Raptors are free-falling, but facing the Kings on Wednesday night might be the perfect medicine—Toronto has dominated Sacramento over the past few years, and the recently healed Chris Bosh destroyed the Kings when the met earlier this season.

Matchup: Raptors at Kings

Time: 10:00 p.m. ET
Venue: ARCO Arena
Spread: Raptors -1.5
Over/Under: 211

The Raptors (32-20, 29-33 ATS) have been numbed by a brutal run on NBA. Tuesday’s 109-107 loss to the Lakers was the sixth time in seven games Toronto tasted defeat. Although the Raps covered against Los Angeles, they’ve won against NBA odds just twice in their past 10 tries. Taking a West Coast road trip probably isn’t the best thing, eight—Toronto is 5-5 ATS in its last 10 games away from home.

Franchise player Chris Bosh has struggled to find his form in two games since returning from injury. Despite averaging 24.3 points and 11.3 rebounds per game on the year, he’s managed just 17.0 PPG and 9.5 RPG in his past two starts. Worse yet, he’s barely shot 40 percent from the field (his season FG percentage is .521). Toronto’s real problems originate on defense, however. The “D” has been terrible if not non-existent; the team has allowed 111.6 points per game over its last seven outings and managed to hold an opponent under triple digits just once during that stretch.

Sacramento (21-43, 32-30-2 ATS) is also mired in a slump. The Kings have lost three straight games after Tuesday’s 88-81 loss in Portland; they’ve gone just 3-9 in their past 12 games. The situation isn’t nearly as bleak at the sportsbook, however. Sacramento is a very impressive 6-1 against the spread since late February. The Kings are 5-3 ATS in their past eight games at ARCO Arena.Online Sports Betting at Sportsbook

Rookie guard Tyreke Evans has been Sacramento’s best player; he’s averaging a team-high 20.3 points and 5.4 assists per game. As a team, the Kings average a ho-hum 100.5 points per game. Like Toronto, their problems are at the other end of the floor. Sacramento ranks 26th in the NBA—one slot ahead of Toronto—in points allowed per game (105.0).

The Raptors and Kings already squared off once this season, with Toronto picking up a 115-104 win in early February. A healthy Bosh racked up 36 points and 11 rebounds. Toronto is 7-3 straight up and against the spread in its last 10 games with the Kings.

Raptors vs. Kings Free PICK

Neither team is playing well, but the Raps certainly have a talent advantage. Bosh already destroyed the Kings once this season, and this is the perfect time for him—and Toronto—to get back on track. Bet on the Raptors.
