Orlando (16-8, 8-15-1 ATS) rebounded from a four-game losing streak with a 94-85 road win against the Clippers on Sunday. The victory was a welcome relief for NBA betting fans; the Magic covered after dropping four straight against the spread.

Points have been hard to come by for Orlando. The team is averaging just 88 points per game over its past five contests, and topped triple digits only once during that span. The Magic recently overcame a battle with the flu and several players missed games as a result; with everyone healthy again, the offense should return to normal. Online Sports Betting at Sportsbook

The biggest loss was Jameer Nelson. The offense was completely out-of-synch while he was gone. But, since he came back, signs of a turnaround are showing. Nelson racked up 19 points and 10 assists two games ago (though Orlando lost, it finally topped 100-plus points) and he chipped in 17 points and nine assists in the win over L.A.

One lineup change to keep an eye on is the switch from Quentin Richardson to Brandon Bass. Bass has played well since taking over the starting job; in the past two games, he’s averaged 15.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game, well above his season averages of 10.6 PPG and 5.4 RPG.

Denver (14-9, 7-14-1 ATS) dropped to 1-3 in its last four games after Sunday’s 129-125 loss to the Knicks. The Nuggets have been awful against the spread, covering just one of their past six games.

Poor defense is, as usual, doing in the Nuggets. They’ve allowed at least 100 points in six consecutive games; in the past two, they’re giving up an average of 122.5. That’s way too much to compete on a nightly basis, even with a ton of offense.

Speaking of offense, at least Al Harrington is getting his game going. The forward recently endured a tough shooting slump, but he’s hit 18 of 27 shots over the past two games, averaging 25 points per game.

Denver finally returns home after a four-game trip on the road. The Nuggets also luckily catch an Orlando team that’s been struggling to score points. Unfortunately, that was mostly a product of recent illness; not only is Orlando rediscovering its mojo, it’s gotten a boost from Bass. The Magic have enough defense to slow Denver’s attack, and enough offense to keep up. Take Orlando.
