No one in the NBA has been hotter than the Oklahoma City Thunder over the last ten games.

The Thunder are 9-1 in their last ten contests. Oklahoma City appears to be hitting their stride at the right time of the season. The same cannot be said of the Phoenix Suns, who have slumped of late.

The Suns have dropped three of their last four, and this team appears to be out of playoff contention.

Kendrick Perkins has only been playing every other game for the Thunder because of his ailing knee, but he has been very helpful to the team when he is in the lineup.

The biggest reason Oklahoma City has been winning over the last few weeks is they have been stepping up on the defensive end. In their last five games, the Thunder are allowing only 92.8 points per game.

The most improved player on this roster is clearly Russell Westbrook. He is averaging six points per game more than he did last year, and he has become the clear second scoring option. Kevin Durant’s numbers aren’t quite as good as last year, but he is definitely one of the top players in the league and is capable of carrying this team a long way.

While Oklahoma City started the year a little slowly, they are playing great basketball now. Sports Betting at Sportsbook.com

Last week’s loss to the Lakers in Los Angeles was a perfect example of how this season has gone for the Phoenix Suns.

The team looked ready to beat the Lakers on the road and continue their playoff momentum, but they lost by two in overtime and they haven’t been the same since.

Head Coach Alvin Gentry mentioned earlier this week that he might start giving the Suns starters fewer minutes down the stretch as their playoff hopes go away.

Steve Nash has been dealing with several injuries this year and he is likely one of the players who will see limited time the rest of the year. Will Phoenix play inspired basketball or are they just going to roll over for the rest of the season?

Gambling Trends:

Under is 8-1 in OKC last 9 overall.
OKC are 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 games overall.
OKC are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 vs. NBA Pacific.
Under is 6-2 in PHO last 8 vs. Western Conference.
PHO are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 home games.
PHO are 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall.
Underdog is 9-4-1 ATS in the last 14 meetings.

The Pick:

Oklahoma City is red hot right now and Phoenix seems to be in freefall. I think the Thunder will win this game comfortably. I like Oklahoma City -3 in this matchup.

Prediction: Oklahoma City 109 Phoenix 99
