Memphis Grizzlies vs. Golden State Warriors Betting Picks & NBA Handicapping Preview

Memphis vs Golden State NBA Odds Handicapping

Memphis rolls into California on Friday, trailing host Golden State by one game in the West, and will hope that a win will provide a little separation from the eighth-place Suns, who tail the Grizzlies by just half a game for the final conference playoff spot. [ad-4468020]

ATS Matchup Insight | CappersPicks Insider Preview

The Grizzlies (43-28) are winners of five of their last six and three straight following a 91-87 come-from -behind win over Utah last time out.

Zach Randolph led the way with 22 points and 13 rebounds while Mike Conley added 19 points and six assists and Marc Gasol finished with 18 points and seven rebounds for the Grizzlies, who rallied from a 16-point third quarter deficit.

Meanwhile, Golden State (44-27) has hit a rough patch, winning just three of its last six following a 99-90 rare home loss against visiting San Antonio, which extended its season-best winning streak to 13 straight games, while snapping the Warriors’ at three-games.

The Warriors could not find a way to contain Tony Parker scored, who scored 20 points for the Spurs, whose reserves tallied over 30 points off the bench.

Stephen Curry led Golden State’s offense with 20 points and six assists, while Klay Thompson scored 16 points and Andrew Bogut hauled in 17 rebounds and blocked four shots.

The game started out bad for Golden State, as San Antonio jumped out to a 22-7 lead seven minutes into the contest and lead 50-47 was at the break.

The Warriors struggled from the floor for much of the remainder of the game after that though, going nearly three minutes without a point after pulling to within in two with 10 minutes left in the game.

Golden State could have used the services of forward Andre Iguodala, who missed his third straight game with a knee injury.

The lone bright spot for the Warriors was that they dominated the boards 54-40, but was even in points in the paint at 40.

Matt’s Prediction: Memphis is 20-14 on the road, but Golden State has been tough at home, losing only 12 of their 45 games at Oracle Arena.

The Grizzlies are 5-0 ATS in the last five meetings in Golden State, while going 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings with the Warriors.

And while the Warriors are more than capable of scoring, I expect the Grizzlies defense to get it done on the road.

Grizzlies 97, Golden State 91
