NBA Betting parlay – Thunder vs. Heat, Bobcats vs. Nuggets

NBA Picks Wednesday – Jan. 29

The NBA closes out the final week of January with a full 11 games on Wednesday schedule, but I have narrowed my focus to a pair of contests that come together perfectly to form this week’s ‘NBA Wednesday Parlay’. [ad-4468020]

The following is a brief look at both games.

Game 1: Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Miami Heat

Pointspread: Miami -4.5
Total Line: 204

ATS Matchup Stats | NBA Gambling Insight!

Oklahoma City heads into this inter-conference showdown riding an eight-game winning streak after holding off Atlanta 111-109 this past Monday as an eight-point home favorite. It was the first time the Thunder failed to cover during this eight-game run and they are a profitable 27-19 against the spread on the year. Kevin Durant scored 41 points against the Hawks to extend his streak of 30+ point games to 11.

The Heat have strung together three SU victories at home after losing four of six games on the road. They have gone just 3-6 ATS during this nine-game run to fall to 19-25 ATS on the year. Miami has covered in just eight of 22 home games this season and the total has gone OVER in 14 of those games.

Wednesday night’s contest should be a close, hard-fought battle between two of the top teams in the league. It remains to close to call as far as a pick on a side, but with both teams putting on a show for the fans, take the OVER in the front-end of this week’s parlay.

Game 2: Charlotte Bobcats vs. Denver Nuggets

Pointspread: Denver -8
Total Line: 204

ATS Matchup Stats | NBA Gambling Insight!

The Bobcats made a brief run up the Eastern Conference standings earlier in the season, but reality is starting to set in especially on the road.

After this past Saturday’s 89-87 loss to Chicago as a 1.5-point home favorite, Charlotte is now 19-27 SU and 24-21-1 ATS. Looking back at the Bobcats last 10 road games, they have won just two of the contests SU while going 3-6-1 ATS.

They are now ranked 28th in the NBA in scoring with an average of 93.9 points a game and shooting just 43.2 percent from the field.

Denver is trying to mount a charge in the West with back-to-back victories both SU and ATS over Indiana and Sacramento in its last two games after losing four of its previous five games. It is now 22-21 SU overall with a 20-22-1 record ATS.

The Nuggets have covered in seven of their last 10 games overall and in four of their last five at home. They come into this game ranked ninth in the league in scoring with an average of 104 points a game.

Denver has won the last four meetings in this series both SU and ATS and should have little problem extending both streaks to five with a win at home that covers the spread.
