The Nets come in off an impressive 104-94 win on the road against Dallas. Both teams continue to battle as Golden State hopes to hold onto the number 1 seed, while Brooklyn hopes to sneak into the playoff picture.

Golden State

Typically, when a team is on their 1st leg of a back-to-back and are staring down a 26 point deficit, more times than not the starters will see a lot of bench time in preparation of the following day’s game.

That however, is not the case for Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors. Curry and company erased that 26 point deficit, en route to a 106-101 road victory over the Boston Celtics.

Steph Curry dazzled yet again, going for 37 points in the contest. Curry saw 11 of those points come within the final 9 minutes of the game. Curry hit 4 clutch free throws down the stretch of the contest to solidify the Warriors’ victory.

The win gave Golden State a 4.5 game lead in the Western Conference over the Memphis Grizzlies.

Golden State will look to the splash brothers yet again in hopes of grabbing a win at the end of their 6 game road trip. Klay Thompson has averaged 15.3 points in his career against Brooklyn.

Last time the two teams met, Curry dropped in 37 points in a Golden State 102-98 win.

Brooklyn

The Nets got a much needed victory last time out as they went on the road and took out Dirk and the Mavs. Deron Williams led the charge with 25 points for Brooklyn and Plumlee grabbed 10 rebounds in the win. Brooklyn will start a 5 game home stand and hope the home court advantage is enough to get them some much needed wins.

Currently, Brooklyn sits tied for 9th place with Charlotte and are just percentage points behind 8th place Indiana. With 5 straight at home, this is a chance for Brooklyn to really step their game up and jump up in the standings.

If they hope to do so, they’ll need players like Deron Williams and Brook Lopez to step up. The pair of veterans have been playing well as of late and hope they can continue to that trend.

Williams 25 points was the most points the PG has seen since early November. Brook Lopez only contributed 7 points in the game, which is well below is 15+ point season average.

Both players will need to be on their game if Brooklyn hopes to pull off an upset against the best team in the NBA.

NBA Basketball Trends:

  • Warriors are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall.
  • Warriors are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 road games.
  • Nets are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games following a ATS win.
  • Nets are 27-10 ATS in their last 37 vs. NBA Pacific.

Free 4* NBA Basketball Pick: Brooklyn +5.5

The Nets know they need to start winning games they really aren’t supposed too. Similar to the matchup in Dallas, a win over Golden State would be a huge bonus.

Golden State 103, Brooklyn 101

Brooklyn keeps this close and has the possibility to steal one.
