NBA Betting – Tensions Building With Key Matchups Set For NBA Saturday
With time ticking down and teams fighting for a playoff spot, the tension is starting to build across the NBA. For the Golden State Warriors, a team that has lost seven of its last 10 and continues to slide in the Western Conference standings, those tensions hit a boiling point during a loss to the Indiana Pacers, in which a brawl erupted. Fights won’t help them in the standings though, and harnessing those tensions and turning them in to positive energy will be the key, as the Warriors look to get back on track this sports betting weekend in Philadelphia.
Golden State Warriors (-3.5) @ Philadelphia 76ers
Saturday, 7:00 PM ET
Golden State certainly has something to prove down this final online sportsbook stretch, as a team many felt wasn’t ready to compete for a playoff spot is suddenly sliding down the standings in the west. A team that ranks third in the NBA in rebounding and eighth in average scoring should be able to hold its own the rest of the way, but the Warriors need to be better at their own end, as they are allowing over 101 points per game this season. A date with a 76ers’ team that had lost six-straight as of Wednesday night could help, especially considering that Philadelphia ranks just 29th in the NBA in scoring with an average of 92 points per game.
NBA Betting Pick: Golden State Warriors – 3.5
Brooklyn Nets @ Chicago Bulls (-2.5)
Saturday, 8:00 PM ET
The Bulls are another team at risk of sliding down the standings, and it doesn’t help that Derrick Rose could be out for the full season if he elects to spend the year preparing for a full comeback. Making matters worse is that Chicago has really struggled at home this year, where it is just one game above .500. The best road record in the conference has kept the Bulls in contention, but they will need to be better at home beginning with a date against the Nets. Brooklyn has heated up again coming out of the All-Star break, but Chicago should be able to squeeze out a Betonline win with its tough defense.
NBA Betting Pick: Chicago Bulls – 2.5
Toronto Raptors @ Milwaukee Bucks (- 4.5)
Saturday, 8:30 PM ET
The Bucks are in a similar online betting position to Chicago because of their awful play at home, only they haven’t been nearly as good on the road. Fortunately for Milwaukee, the Raptors and 76ers haven’t been good enough to challenge them for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, as they owned a five-game lead over Toronto as of Wednesday night. The Raptors likely won’t catch them down the final stretch, but they have been a better team overall since acquiring Rudy Gay, and should be able to keep this game close until the very end, regardless of whether or not they can pull out the win. NBA Betting Pick: Toronto Raptors + 4.5
