Week 14 DFS Fantasy Football Running Back Rankings – Fan Duel
Everyone in the Fantasy Football world should have started their playoffs by now – roster decisions are absolutely critical going forward. The running back position has been a tough one to figure out all season long – this week included. Most of the top dogs have extremely tough matchups if they aren’t on Injured Reserve already! That said there are some quality matchups for us to wrap our head around in Week 14.
Here is a look at the top 5 Fantasy Running Back plays for Week 14 of the NFL season.
1. LeSean McCoy, Bills
Lovin’ me some LeSean McCoy this week in a revenge game against his former team and former Coach Chip Kelly. Philadelphia’s defense has been terrible all season long. We all know how Rex Ryan loves to feature players against their former teams! Expect LeSean to be the focal point of the offense Sunday – 25-30 touches certainly isn’t out of the question. McCoy has been coming on of late – he has been around the 100 yard mark in each of his last seven games. I expect him to better that this week – 125 yards and a TD on the ground and another 15-25 yards receiving on 2-4 catches is likely. McCoy should dominate this game and is #1 this week.
2. Jonathan Stewart, Panthers
It is hard to imagine that the Panthers won’t absolutely control this game at home against the Falcons fourth-worst rushing defense which means they could be running a whole lot in the second half of that game. Enter Jonathan Stewart who will get his share of work this week. Stewart hasn’t exactly been lighting it up but has been good for around 60 yards most weeks – he went for 113 combined yards last week and should approach that again as the game-flow dictates a high volume of opportunities. 90 yards and a TD on the ground with 2-3 catches for another 20-25 yards is where I see Stewart this week.
3. Adrian Peterson, Vikings
It’s a tough matchup for AP on the road this week but after last week’s 8-touch, 18 yards performance expect Peterson to get the ball 25-30 times this week. And we all know the potential that 25 touches bring about! AP leads the league in rushing – he will be fed as much as he wants this week and HAS to be good if the Vikes are to be considered a serious threat in the NFC.
4. Doug Martin, Buccaneers
With teams absolutely having to account for Jameis Winston, Doug Martin is finding some room to run these days! In Week 14 he gets a crack at a brutal New Orleans defense on home turf. He has been on fire lately and should easily be able to eclipse the 78 yards rushing and 20 yards receiving he gained in the first meeting of the season. The Bucs are finally that all-around offense that we envisioned. Martin should get a ton of touches this week and with them 100 yards rushing with a TD and 1-2 catches for 10-15 yards is certainly realistic.
5. Thomas Rawls, Seahawks
The Seahawks are on fire and this week have the pleasure of taking on a pretty bad Baltimore defense. Rawls is the unquestioned workhorse back for this Seattle team –a run-first elite caliber offense. He has at least 81 yards rushing in each of his last three games with his share of TDs and should easily get over that hump in a game that the Seahawks should absolutely control from the outset. I am expecting 20-25 touches for the league’s newest Superstar with 90-100 yards on the ground and a TD and 3-5 catches for another 30-25 yards – not bad for those of you who handcuffed Marshawn Lynch!
