2013 NBA Betting: Picks For Games Tuesday
Game 1: Cleveland Cavaliers @ Indiana Pacers – Tuesday, April 9
Betting sports is often complicated, but it shouldn’t be in this case. At any reputable betting site in North America or the United Kingdom, you’re not going to get a lot of conflicting opinions on this Tuesday’s game between the Cavaliers and the Pacers.
You don’t have to be a online sports betting genius in order to realize that the Cavaliers are toothless, rendered impotent by the loss of star point guard and meal-ticket scorer Kyrie Irving. Cleveland has no real place to turn to with Irving on the shelf, and accordingly, the Cavaliers have lost 10 games in a row to sink toward the bottom of the Eastern Conference. There were times earlier this season when Cleveland was closer to the No. 8 seed in the East than it was to the absolute cellar of the conference, but that’s not true anymore. Cleveland, without Irving, is more like Charlotte and Orlando than a ninth-place team such as Philadelphia.
Indiana has a lot to play for, too. The Pacers want to finish ahead of the New York Knicks in the East, so that they can get the No. 2 seed and home-court advantage should they face New York in the second round of the playoffs. There’s no reason to pick against Indiana here. None.
NBA Betting Pick: Indiana
Game 2: Philadelphia 76ers @ Brooklyn Nets – Tuesday, April 9
Any pay per head bookie service would likely tell you that Brooklyn should dictate this game from start to finish and register a fairly straightforward win. Yes, Brooklyn is vulnerable in the face of a team that can throw a strong big man at the Nets. Carlos Boozer of the Chicago Bulls scored 29 points and yanked down 18 rebounds on Thursday night in Brooklyn’s 92-90 loss, but Philadelphia just can’t hurt the Nets as long as Andrew Bynum is not on the floor. Spencer Hawes is not in Brooklyn’s weight class. He will not be able to change the equation for the undermanned Sixers, who do not figure to be able to stand in the ring for 48 full minutes on Tuesday.
NBA Betting Pick: Brooklyn
Game 3: Milwaukee Bucks @ Miami Heat – Tuesday, April 9
When you step up to the betting window to make an NBA betting pick at a 5dimes.com review, you should look for opportunities, games in which one team rests its star players and steps off the gas pedal. This is just such a game, because Miami has been resting LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Mario Chalmers for almost a full week. However, are the Milwaukee Bucks good enough to beat Miami in South Florida, even when the Heat have a diminished roster? It’s hard to say yes. Milwaukee lost to Minnesota at home earlier this past week. The Bucks have been playing poorly, even though it’s in their best interests to improve their playoff seeding. Milwaukee does not offer a convincing betting option in this game. Stay with Miami.
