The Washington Wizards have been unstoppable in the 2015 NBA Playoffs. They’ll look to move to 2-0 against the Atlanta Hawks tonight. As always, visit Cappers Picks for our latest NBA picks.
I thought the first game was fairly poor from an offensive standpoint. However, the game was close the entire way. The Hawks opened up with a lead in the 1st quarter, but they lost every other quarter.

NBA Gambling Line: Hawks –6
NBA Gambling O/U Line: 197.5 Points
The young guys on the Wizards are banged up, but they’ll need to play great basketball to get past the Hawks in the East. John Wall and Bradley Beal both had big games to open up the series.
Wall almost had a triple-double with 18 points, 13 assists and 7 rebounds. Beal was hot from the field and he ended the game with 28 points – more than anyone else on either team in game 1.
Paul Pierce had 19 points and has really turned up his play in the playoffs. I’m surprised to see he has so much left in the tank at his age. Nene Hilario had the worst game, as he didn’t even score.
Atlanta didn’t play poorly in game 1, but their depth might prove to be a problem. The bench was terrible and the starters aren’t going to be able to compete with the depth that the Wizards have.
Paul Millsap and Al Horford were both incredible to open up the series, but the problem is they didn’t win still. If they take a hit in production – where are the points going to come from for the Hawks?
Beal did a great job covering Kyle Korver and if he can keep Korver shooting a poor percentage from deep – the Wizards have a huge edge. Korver ended up shooting 3-11 on his 3-point shot attempts.
Jeff Teague is going to have big problems against Wall too, as was evident in the opener. Atlanta was great this season, but the Wizards are a step above them as long as Washington stays healthy.
Free NBA Picks: Washington Wizards vs. Atlanta Hawks
Washington Wizards +6 (-110)
Wall is going to be play tonight and Beal should, but keep an eye on Beal. If he sits I won’t be betting on the game, but at +6 points I’ll take a healthy Wizards team over the Hawks any day of the week.
This is also the playoffs and I can’t see the Hawks blowing out the Wizards. Washington can score and they’re too good defensively to get blown out. Take the points in the early game tonight.
