2013 NBA Betting –
Game 1: Oklahoma City Thunder @ Indiana Pacers – Friday, April 5
Whether you want to become a bookie or merely continue to join in the action at premier betting outlets across the country, you are going to find it hard to pick against Indiana in this game. The simple but substantial detail that makes the Pacers an attractive choice in this contest is that Oklahoma City, after sitting around idly for much of this week, will then have to spring into action against quality opponents. The Thunder last played on Saturday, March 30, and then received four straight days off through Wednesday, April 3. They then had to play on Thursday, April 4, against San Antonio, in a massively important game that required all of their physical and emotional energies. Had Oklahoma City played the Orlando Magic or the Sacramento Kings on Thursday night, one could say that the Thunder wouldn’t have needed to exhaust all of their efforts in the process of trying to get a win. However, playing San Antonio and then flying to Indiana to take on a really good Pacer squad should leave the Thunder diminished and depleted. It will be hard for the Thunder’s players to adjust their body clocks and make the mental preparations necessary to perform at their very best. Indiana will seize this opportunity and snatch a home-court win from the Thunder.
NBA Betting Pick: Indiana
Game 2: Orlando Magic @ Chicago Bulls – Friday, April 5
When immersed in the world of legal online sports betting, it’s generally recommended to follow the course of action suggested by the infirmary report, but in this case, one might be able to make an exception. Chicago is really banged up, with Derrick Rose still out and Joakim Noah now on the shelf alongside Rip Hamilton and Taj Gibson. The Bulls are missing several players they depend on for defense, rebounding, shot blocking, and of course, scoring punch. Yet, Chicago has shown under head coach Tom Thibodeau that it can still play hard and well at the defensive end of the floor when its offense is going nowhere. Even when the Bulls lost on Tuesday night to the Washington Wizards, they played well on defense. It was their offense which bogged down in the second half. In this game, the Bulls should still play well on defense, and since the Orlando Magic are one of the worst offensive teams in the league, Chicago should be able to beat them, especially in the Windy City.
NBA Betting Pick: Chicago
Game 3: Toronto Raptors @ Minnesota Timberwolves – Friday, April 5
The Toronto Raptors and Minnesota Timberwolves are both going nowhere, but Toronto is going nowhere more rapidly than Minnesota. The Timberwolves are showing more fight and resolve at this point of the season, having won at Milwaukee (a playoff team) the other night. Toronto could win this game, but the percentages suggest that the T-Wolves are the better betting play.
