NBA Betting – Heat, Thunder Remain On Course For NBA Finals Rematch With
The Miami Heat and Oklahoma City Thunder are on a crash course to meet again in the NBA Finals. With the Heat riding a franchise-record 15-straight wins, and the Thunder trying to close the gap between them and the first-place San Antonio Spurs, it should be an exciting finish to the online sports betting season. Both teams are in action late this week, as well as a pair of teams looking to prove they can knock off Miami and Oklahoma City in the New York Knicks and Los Angeles Clippers.
Oklahoma City Thunder @ New York Knicks (-1.5)
Thursday, 8:00 PM ET
The Knicks took their first two regular season meetings against the Heat before dropping their latest Betonline meeting at home this past Sunday. Less than a week later, New York welcomes Kevin Durant and the Thunder to town in another litmus test of where that team is. The Knicks have their share of weapons led by Carmelo Anthony, but they have relied far too heavily on the three-ball this season, and have been far too inconsistent at the defensive end of the floor. That won’t help them against a Thunder team that is averaging the second-most points in the NBA, with Durant leading the way at 28.6 points per game. Oklahoma City is a very young, fast team that can really make teams pay in transition, and New York could have a tough time keeping up.
NBA Betting Pick: Oklahoma City Thunder + 1.5
Los Angeles Clippers @ Denver Nuggets (-2.5)
Thursday, 10:30 PM ET
The Clippers are another very fast team, with Chris Paul leading an offense that has cracked the top-10 in scoring, but the stat that surprises most casual NBA sports betting fans is that they rank in the top-5 in points allowed. Los Angeles is at its best when it is playing strong defense and scoring baskets in transition, and it will be tested against a Denver team that has the best home record in the NBA. The high altitude and strong two-way basketball has made the Nuggets the most dangerous team in the NBA on their own home floor, and it will take a strong effort from Paul and company to hand them just their fourth home loss of the season.
NBA Betting Pick: Denver Nuggets – 2.5
Philadelphia 76ers @ Miami Heat
Friday, 8:00 PM ET
After watching an exciting online sportsbook tandem of games Thursday night, the Heat will look to pour it on Friday as they push the 76ers one step closer to elimination. Philadelphia is already seven games back of the Milwaukee Bucks for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, but maybe they won’t mind missing out on the playoffs as much after Miami blows them away. The Heat are playing better than any team has this season with Lebron doing a bit of everything at a historic pace, and right now the 76ers aren’t built to handle that. NBA Betting Pick: Miami Heat – 5.5
