Game 1: Memphis Grizzlies @ Dallas Mavericks – Monday, April 15
Betting sports is often complicated, but it doesn’t always turn into a brain-taxing exercise. In many ways, this Monday offers the last really good night in which to bet on NBA regular season basketball. The games being played on Tuesday, April 16 and Wednesday, April 17 might introduce situations in which superior teams might lose because they’re resting players in advance of the playoffs. Wednesday in particular could also involve scenarios in which teams tank to get a better draft choice or, at the very least, go through the motions in light of the fact that the end of the 82- game deathmarch is at hand. However, on Monday, it’s still going to be clear that some teams will be playing for high stakes. You don’t have to be an online sports betting genius in order to realize that the Grizzlies are the team in this game that has something to shoot for. The Grizzlies are part of the three-team scramble for the third seed in the West, which would lead to an easier draw in the first round of the playoffs. They might not beat out the Denver Nuggets for third, but even then, they’d have reason to win this game against Dallas. They would at least want to beat out the Los Angeles Clippers for home-court advantage in a possible first-round series between the two teams. Dallas lost at home to Phoenix earlier this week, a sign that the Mavericks have lost steam toward the end of the line. It’s hard to think that Dallas will play with more energy than Memphis. This is the Grizzlies’ game to lose by any reasonable measurement or assessment.
NBA Betting Pick: Memphis
Game 2: Utah Jazz @ Minnesota Timberwolves – Monday, April 15
Any pay per head bookie service would likely tell you that while Minnesota recently beat the Oklahoma City Thunder at home, the Utah Jazz are going to be desperate on Monday night. The Jazz know that since the Los Angeles Lakers won on Wednesday night in Portland to take the lead in the race for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference, Utah cannot afford to lose this game. Dropping a decision in Minnesota would basically, if not officially, eliminate the Jazz from the playoff picture. The primacy of survival will push the Jazz to play well… well enough, at any rate, to climb past the Timberwolves on Monday night in Minneapolis.
NBA Betting Pick: Utah
Game 3: Houston Rockets @ Phoenix Suns – Monday, April 15
When you plot out your next betting play by sifting through any collection of 5dimes reviews, you will realize that the battle for the sixth seed in the Western Conference – and for the right to avoid either San Antonio or Oklahoma City in the first round of the playoffs – is still a tight one. Golden State and Houston have been separated by little more than one and a half games for many of the past several days. If that race is still not decided by the time Monday night arrives, Houston – with its superior talent – should be able to power its way past the Phoenix Suns, a markedly inferior foe.
NBA Betting Pick: Houston
