Heat Continue To Roll Despite Still Not Reaching Peak Potential In NBA Playoffs
The Miami Heat are ready to explode. The fact that they have done as much damage as they have without even performing at their highest potential is reason for the remaining NBA teams to be very scared. The Heat took a commanding three-games-to-one series lead in their best-of-seven against the Chicago Bulls Monday night, in what was one of the most dominant performances of the online sports betting season. The issue is that Lebron James and company still didn’t have to bring their best stuff to take care of business against one of the teams that was expected to at least give them a challenge as an obstacle on the road to the NBA Finals.
That certainly hasn’t been the case at all, as Miami has bounced back from a series-opening loss to win three-straight and take a commanding online sportsbook series lead with the series shifting back to South Beach. Monday night’s win was just another checkmark on the Heat’s road to the NBA Finals, but it was also a loss of devastating proportions for Chicago. The Bulls scored just 42 points through three quarters including a franchise playoff-low nine points in the third quarter in front of a shocked house at the United Center. Chicago shot just 25.7-percent from the field as a team, and their struggles were best illustrated by the play of Nate Robinson, who didn’t have a single point. Robinson went 0-for-12 from the field, and when the most dangerous offensive player on a team is shut down in that fashion, it really is cause for concern.
Lebron did lead all scorers with 27 points in addition to eight rebounds and seven assists, but it was the casual way that he went about his business that was so shocking. Lebron never looked out of control, and didn’t even seem to be playing with much urgency as he and his Miami teammates controlled the tempo of the online betting game. The sooner the series is over, the sooner that veterans like Dwyane Wade get the chance to take some time off and rest in anticipation of the Eastern Conference Finals, and Heat fans have to be hoping that the New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers go seven games and completely wipe eachother out along the way.
At this point in the sports betting season, anything can happen and there really is no such thing as a guarantee. However, Miami is playing some incredible basketball, and if this team continues to roll at this pace they will be impossible to stop. The Heat are dominating the top teams in the East without even breaking a sweat, and it is downright scary to think about what the defending NBA champions can do when they finally hit that button and turn up the urgency in he fight to repeat.
