MLB Predictions: Braves vs. Dodgers Picks
MLB betting action sees the Atlanta Braves taking on the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday May 26th at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California.
MLB Baseball Odds
Atlanta Braves (22-22) at Los Angeles Dodgers (27-17)
Stadium: Dodger Stadium (Los Angeles, California)
Time/Date: 10:10 PM ET; Tuesday, May 26th
MLB Odds: Atlanta Braves +200/ Los Angeles Dodgers -220

Pitching Matchup: Braves RH Julio Teheran (4-1, 3.91 ERA) vs. Dodgers LH Clayton Kershaw (2-3, 4.32)
The Braves continue their series with the Los Angeles Dodgers and will get to see their ace Clayton Kershaw in Game 2 of the set. The typically dominant lefty has found himself in an unfamiliar position as he’s struggled a bit this season. He’ll look to get himself back on track against the Braves and right handed pitcher Julio Teheran. Teheran is by far the Braves most reliable pitcher they’ve had this season.
The Braves have shown many positive signs this season in what was thought to be a rebuilding season. After last night’s loss to the Dodgers in the series opener, they’ll look to get back over the .500 mark with a win behind their ace Julio Teheran.
Teheran has 4 starts this season and comes in off back-to-back dominant starts against the Marlins and Brewers.
Against the Marlins on 5/15, Teheran went 5.2 innings allowing just 1 earned run and struck out 5. He earned a no decision in the 5-3 Braves win.
In his last start against the Brewers, he went 7.0 innings allowing just 2 hits and 1 run. He struck out 8 and received plenty of run support in a 10-1 win.
This will be Teheran’s 3rd career start against the Dodgers. He hope to fair far better than the previous 2 as he is 0-2 with a 4.11 ERA against them.
The Braves offense has struggled on the road this season as they average just 3.91 runs a per road contest. That held to form in the series opener as they scored just 3 runs in a 6-3 loss.
Los Angeles Dodgers
The Dodgers have proven to be one of the best home teams in baseball thus far. Los Angeles has suffered defeat just 6 times inside Dodger Stadium, while winning 20 times. The offense is averaging nearly 5 runs per home contest and is clicking on all cylinders as they lead the NL West by 2 games.
The only thing questionable right now for Los Angeles is the unsuspecting struggles of Clayton Kershaw. The Cy Young and MVP award winner in 2014 hasn’t had a 0 run performance yet this season.
Kershaw lost his last start against the San Francisco Giants as the Dodgers fell 4-0. Kershaw went 7.1 innings allowing 7 hits and 4 runs, including a home run to opposing pitcher Madison Bumgarner.
He’s had success against the Braves in his 5 career starts as he’s gone 1-0 with a 2.11 ERA.
Kershaw has earned both wins at home this season, but has failed to reach the 8th inning or beyond in any of his starts this year.
MLB Handicapping Trends:
- Braves are 7-3 in their last 10 games on grass.
- Braves are 5-11 in their last 16 road games.
- Dodgers are 23-9 in their last 32 home games vs. a team with a losing road record.
- Dodgers are 41-17 in their last 58 games as a home favorite.
Free 4* MLB Pick: Under 6 (+110)
There’s really no value on playing the Dodgers at -220 juice. On the flip side of that, it’s tough to place a wager against Clayton Kershaw no matter how he’s pitching. Grab the Under here and expect a low scoring affair on Tuesday night.
Los Angeles 2, Atlanta 1
