Chris Andersen PF – Jan 20: Day-To-Day
Dwyane Wade SG – Jan 20: Day-To-Day
Mario Chalmers PG – Jan 17: Out
Greg Oden C – Jan 17: Day-To-Day
This season the Heat are 16-3 at home and the Celtics are 5-16 on the road.
In their last games the Celtics lost to the Orlando Magic 93-91 and the Heat lost to the Atlanta Hawks 121-114.
The Heat have not had the best last couple of weeks, as they are only 5-5 in their last 10 games and they are coming off a loss. Miami is back at home after their 6-game road streak and look to get back in the W column facing a Celtics’ team that has lost 9 of their last 10 games.
Miami was only 2-4 on their 6-game road trip.
The Heat have the league’s 8th best defense, but need to get over their last game facing the Hawks where they allowed Atlanta to score 121 points on 51.9% shooting.
The Celtics have not been a good road team this season, but they have already knocked off the Heat in Miami.
Boston also has a solid defense, which they will need to play tonight, as their offense only ranks 26th in the league in scoring.
LeBron James has scored at least 30 points in 3 of his last 5 games and could use some help on offense, especially if Dwyane Wade misses his 3rd straight game tonight. Chris Bosh has been playing well in Wade’s absence, but the Heat need other guys to step up and score.
Jeff Green leads the Celtics scoring 15.8 ppg and the guards of Avery Bradley and Jordan Crawford, who are both averaging in double figures, will need to shoot the rock well tonight for Boston to have any chance.
Rajon Rondo has returned from his knee injury recently, but he has been rusty in his return only shooting 36.8% from the floor and is averaging 7 ppg.
The Celtics are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record. 4-9-1 ATS in their last 14 when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game, and they have an Under record of 17-7 in their last 24 road games.
The Heat are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games, 18-7 ATS in their last 25 games following a S.U. loss, and they have an Over record of 4-1 in their last 5 games.
The Celtics are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games against the Heat.
Jason’s Pick: The Heat played poor defense on their road trip, but back at home facing a Celtics team that has struggled to score they will win and cover.
