4/9 Tuesday MLB $$$$$
LA Dodgers (4-2) vs. San Diego Padres (1-5)
The Dodgers have the best talent in the NL and are starting to learn how to play together so watch out. Padres will get shelled as Richards has zero chance to hold down the LAC.
LA are 11-3 in their last 14 games on grass.
On the mound is where the game will be won and for the Dodgers the team will be sending out Josh Beckett. So far this season Beckett has managed to strike out four batters, have a loss on the record books, and a 4.50 ERA to show for the effort he has put forth so far this season. The Padres on the other hand are sending out Clayton Richard. In his last outing Richard did not fair well for the Padres. Richard went only four and a third innings, gave up seven earned runs, and only had one strikeout. Either way the Padres are making a gamble with the pitcher the team is sending to the mound. The Padres are supposedly a baseball team, but calling them a professional team this early in the season may be pressing it. The Padres have only won one game
Betting Pick: LA Dodgers -141 ( MLB )
Phoenix Suns at Houston Rockets 4/9/13 NBA
The Suns are not a good away team and this is evident in the record the Suns have with only seven wins and thirty losses. However, the Suns team does try and this counts for something, even if the trying is for pride only. The downside is the pride the Suns have is only going to take them so far and against the Rockets who have a strong home record the pride factor will not matter. In fact, the Rockets have the chance to dominate the Suns so badly the team will be outright embarrassed to show up. The Suns traveled to Houston, the Suns lost by thirty points. A factor for the Suns is the injury bug which is plaguing the Rockets and this could downgrade the one hundred and six points per game the Rockets typically average. Defensively the Rockets should be okay, even though the team gives up one hundred and two points a game. The reason for this is the Suns only average ninety four points a game. The Suns defense, though, is where the problem lies as it gives up one hundred and one points. Suns are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 road games. Most times at this point of the season we are taking points against teams like Houston but Suns have lost 9 in a row and looked to have given up. Rockets are well rested and tonight we see Houston flex its offensive muscles with blowout. Final Score Prediction, Rockets win 113-91, nice Blowout ATS winner as Houston rolls.
Betting Pick: Houston -14 ( NBA )
