2015 Broncos Season Preview
The Denver Broncos enter the 2015-2016 season with typically huge expectations but with a window that is quickly closing. Can Peyton Manning hold up? Can the Broncos fend off all of the Heavyweights in the AFC to get Peyton another ring? That may be a tall task but an AFC West Title and another 12 win season are definitely possible. So where does this team end in up in January? Let’s take a look.

The Denver Broncos have been one of the best Regular Season teams since Peyton Manning has come to two – they have won 13, 13 and 12 games the three seasons Manning has been their man. With a new Head Coach in town the hope is that Manning will not have to be Superman for this team to succeed. Gary Kubiak brings a coaching style that leans more heavily on the run- just ask Arian Foster.
Let’s start with the passing game. We know that Peyton Manning can still play and who knows what would have happened last year if he didn’t get injured. But this guy is still one of the best the game has to offer. There is a lot of talk about Manning’s demise – I don’t buy it. Demaryius Thomas just signed long-term – that’s a good thing. Thomas is that absolute stud that every great team needs. Julius Thomas left for greener pastures leaving Emmanuel Sanders and Cody Latimer as Manning’s next receiving options – slightly worrying.
Look for the Kubuiak influence to take effect immediately in Denver – he is going to rely more on a running game – CJ Anderson fits his schemes very well. Anderson turned into an absolute monster last year and should have a big season. That does two things – it adds an element to this potent offense and it keeps the pressure off Peyton Manning.
Keep in mind that Kubiak made Matt Shaub look like an All- Star. Imagine what he could do with Manning at his helm.
Brandon Browner and Darrelle Revis are gone from the Denver defense – yikes! They were middle-of the pack last year and that is where most are projecting them to be this year. I’d agree – it is the Broncos offense that is going to have to win games for this team – I like their chances.
The Broncos have to win the AFC West – they absolutely have to. A look at their schedule shows that they could start the season 6 or 7-0. I see the Broncos cruising to another AFC West title and another appearance in the playoffs where this team’s success will be determined.
Denver is an 11 or 12 win team this year – Over the 10 win Total that Vegas has set. As for the playoffs I think the focus on the running game is a good thing but in the end the Broncos lose out to a more well-rounded team. There are a couple of holes on Broncos – ones that make me think a long playoff run is not in the cards.
