07-02-21 | Spain v. Switzerland OVER 2.5 | Top | 1-1 | Loss | -100 | 21 h 5 m | Show |
My 10* EURO-CUP QUARTER-FINAL TOTAL OF YEAR is on the OVER Switzerland/Spain. Switzerland is off a wild, high-scoring shootout win over the French in the round of 16. Spain beat Croatia 5-3 to advance. Switzerland though has to be feeling confident after coming back from a 3-1 deficit to France to send it into extra time, and then eventually win on penalty kicks. A win for Switzerland today would see it go farther than in any other major tournament, having reached the quarterfinals of the World Cup in 1934, 1938 and 1954. Spain had a 3-1 lead going into the 77th minute with Croatia before almost throwing its lead away. Spain will be wary here to mess around, as it's actually not had the best Tournament to this point, drawing its first two fixtures. It then put five goals past Slovakia in its final group match, and just had five in their last one as well. There's no reason to believe that Spain won't continue to find the back of the net here either. You may want to consider the "BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE" prop as well. But here I'm expecting a faster-paced affair, one which flies over this number in regulation. And that's the play, the over in regulation between Spain and Switzerland. Good luck...Larry |

06-29-21 | Germany v. England OVER 2.25 | Top | 0-2 | Loss | -55.5 | 22 h 45 m | Show |
My 10* EURO-CUP TOTAL OF THE WEEK is on the OVER England/Germany. England has struggled to find the back of the net so far in this tournament, but I expect the Three Lions to finally get things rolling here against a Germany team which has been susceptible on the backend. England has two 1-nil victories and a scoreless draw. It hasn't allowed a goal in 450 minutes of football, but now it faces its most daunting task here in Germany's attack. Joachim Low and Germany will be out to push the pace and get the Three Lions on their heels. If England has to play from behind, it's going to be out of its comfort zone and that's something that Low wants to see happen here. Neither team has any significant injuries to deal with either. But if England is going to get by this offensive juggernaut, it's going to need its captain Harry Kane to rediscover his golden form. Germany's attack is the most efficient that England has seen and I think it's defense will finally get cracked here. Look for this total to fly well over in regulation before the final whistle sounds. Good luck...Larry |

06-27-21 | Portugal v. Belgium +150 | Top | 0-1 | Win | 150 | 21 h 47 m | Show |
My 10* WIPE-OUT WINNER is on Belgium. Lukaku vs Ronaldo. I say Lukaku wins out today. In four of the last six meetings between these clubs, the total has eclipsed "over" 2.5 goals. Belgium scored seven goals during the group stage. Portugal has seen five of its last six games having at least three goals being scored. Perhaps playing a "BTTS" score prop, or the "OVER" is worth a second look as well. But for this selection, my play is definitely on Belgium to win outright in regulation. Roberto Martinez's side has won five of the last six matches in all competitions, inculding all three Group Stage contests. Portugal was vulnerable against Germany and it also failed to beat France. I say that Portugal continues to struggle against the World's elite here as well. Lukaku had three goals in the group stage and I expect him to have a big game here as well. I think Portugal is weak on the backend and Belgium will find a way to eventually take advantage. The play is Belgium in regulation. Good luck...Larry |

06-26-21 | Denmark -113 v. Wales | Top | 4-0 | Win | 100 | 17 h 56 m | Show |
My 10* PERFECT STORM is on Denmark. Wales finished second in Group A to Italy, while Denmark finished second to Belgium in Group B, despite losing its first two games. Wales made it to the knockouts in 2016 as well. The Dragons lost 1-0 in their final group match against Italy. Of note though is that Wales has lost its two previous matches in Amsterdam, in 1998 and 2014 and it won have any supporters present here. Denmark supporters will be able to attend though. Christian Eriksen will be on the front of everyone's minds today. A 4-1 win over Russia in their final opening game was enough to push the Danes through and I believe they carry that momentum over. Denmark and Wales have no significant injuries to report. That said, Denmark got the better of Wales both home and away during the 2018 UEFA Nations League and it's now seven places higher than the Dragons in the FIFA rankings. I think the Danes have enough factors working in their favor today to continue their success in this matchup. So that's my call on Saturday morning, rolling with Denmark. Good luck...Larry |

06-22-21 | Scotland v. Croatia UNDER 2.5 | Top | 1-3 | Loss | -110 | 50 h 38 m | Show |
My 10* EURO CUP TOTAL OF THE WEEK is on the UNDER Croatia/Scotland. Scotland drew were England nil-nil in its most recent match, while Croatia also ended with a 1-1 draw against the Czech Republic. Croatia is struggling offensively, and I don't expect that to change here vs. the defensive-minded Scots. Ivan Perisic scored the equalizer for Croatia against the Czech's, but finding the back of the net even once against Scotland could prove difficult. Croatia needs outside help and it needs to win to advance. The Tartan Army won't be rolling over though obviously. While a goalless draw isn't great for the fans, it has to be viewed as a victory by Scotland. However, Scotland has yet to find the back of the net in the Tournament, and that could once again be an issue here against this determined Croatia side. Croatia have been forced to cope without Rangers left-back Borna Barisic, and he's listed as questionable again this afternoon. Clearly that's not good for Croatia's attack. Scotland also got dealt a major blow with a positive COVID 19 test for Billy Gilmour. Yes, both teams are "desperate." But I don't think that fact is going to magically lead to a bunch of goals suddenly being scored here. In fact, I say it goes the other way, that these two defensive-minded clubs once again rely on their strength and wait for the other to make the first mistake. This number is high, the play is the under. Good luck...Larry |

06-19-21 | Poland v. Spain OVER 2.5 | Top | 1-1 | Loss | -117 | 23 h 23 m | Show |
My 10* Euro Cup TOTAL OF THE MONTH is on the OVER Spain/Poland. I expect plenty of balls to find the back of the net in this one. Spain can't be happy here after its goalless draw with Sweden on Monday. Poland will be out to atone for a 2-1 loss to Slovakia in its opening match. It wasn't from a lack of trying for Spain in its opening game, but it ran into a red hot keeper in Robin Olsen. With Slovakia up next, the Spaniards know they'll need to press the pace here and win convincingly. Poland's form is terrible, as it has just one win in its last eight matches. These teams haven't faced each other since 2010, and in that game Spain won 6-0. I don't expect such a lop-sided discrepancy here, but I do expect plenty of goals and a similar final combined score here between these two hungry sides. Considering the circumstances each side finds itself in, I believe this total is much too low. The play is the over. Good luck...Larry |
|||||||
06-17-21 | Belgium +108 v. Denmark | Top | 2-1 | Win | 108 | 19 h 24 m | Show |
My 10* GAME OF THE MONTH is on Belgium. Belgium destroyed Russia 3-0 and I believe it'll crush Denmark as well today. Belgium didn't even feature its full line-up in the win over Russia, which makes its victory all that much more impressive. Denmark lost to Finland and now it has to move ahead without its best player for the rest of the Tournament. The last three encounters between the countries sees Belgium have two wins and a draw. Christan Eriksen is "OK," but a distraction overall for Denmark. Denmark has an inability to finish chances, and I have a hard time seeing it even finding the back of the net a single time today against this World Class team from Belgium. Belgium won't be taking the foot off the gas, or looking past anyone. It's full speed ahead every game and I believe that'll be the case here against this overmatched Denmark side. Great value here on the "better" team. The play is Belgium. Good luck...Larry |

06-15-21 | Germany v. France +175 | Top | 0-1 | Win | 175 | 26 h 41 m | Show |
My 10* EURO CUP GAME OF THE WEEK is on France. Could this opening match be any bigger? It's a big one alright. France though has five wins and a draw over its last six games, while Germany has three wins, two losses and a draw over its last six. The Germans have held the French to two straight draws the last two games that these countries have played in Germany. France played to two straight 3-0 wins before the Euro Cup started. Didier Deschamp enjoyed Euro Cup success back in 2000, and now he's out to lead France to victory as manager. The Germans have jus been too inconsistent of late, with a 6-0 loss to Spain, and a 2-1 defeat to North Macedonia. Germany also struggled in Russia in 2018. France is the better offensive team for sure, but I'd argue it's also the better defensive team. I say that Deschamp is out to send an early message with a decisive attack from start to finish. The play is France. Good luck...Larry |

06-12-21 | Switzerland v. Wales OVER 2 | Top | 1-1 | Push | 0 | 20 h 10 m | Show |
My 10* DEBUT TOTAL is on the OVER Wales/Switzerland. Both teams have hopes of reach at least the first knockout round, but Group A is a very tough one. It will be crucial for either of these hopeful sides to earn a win here, and as such, I'm expecting more of a wide-open game, rather than a slower-paced "chess match." Wales comes in with some momentum here, as it put together a five-game unbeaten streak in qualifying to finish runner-up to Croatia. Both teams are essentially going to be fighting for second place behind Italy. Switzerland lost to Poland in the round of 16 five years ago. It's won six games in a row and it held Span to a 1-1 draw ahead of that streak. Both teams are filled with talent and each is desperate for a victory to open. I say that results in goals, not a defensive affair. The play is the over. Good luck...Larry |

07-15-18 | Croatia v. France -105 | Top | 2-4 | Win | 100 | 72 h 50 m | Show |
My 10* LEGEND is on France to win in regulation (11:00 AM EST). I had a play on France in its victory over Belgium and I think it’s going to find a way to take the finale in regulation as well. Croatia has been a great story to this point, but I think it’s outclassed across the board in this one. Note that the Croatians have been taken to extra-time in all three knock-out matches so far. France is the deeper, more talented and experienced team as well, having also reached the 2016 Euro Final most recently. The French come in at full strength. Keep your eyes on Antoine Griezmann, who has a knack for the “big moments,” having been involved in 20 goals (12 scored, eight assists) in his last 20 France appearances. You’ll also want to track Kylian Mbappe, who has scored three goals over his last two games. The French have been on an entirely different level since the knock-out stages began. Note that France is now unbeaten in its last ten matches, winning eight outright. Croatia comes into this one pretty much fit as well. Luke Modric is one of three Croatians with two goals. Mario Mandzukic scored the winner against England. But France has improved with each game of this 2018 World Cup and it’s had to navigate the much more difficult route. The Croatian’s come in exhausted after three straight extra time victories. Play on France to win in regulation. Good luck…Larry |

07-10-18 | Belgium v. France +153 | Top | 0-1 | Win | 153 | 28 h 24 m | Show |
My 10* SOCCER GAME OF THE YEAR is on France to win in regulation over Belgium (2:00 EST). Belgium comes in off a big win over tournament favorite Brazil, but I think it’ll stumble here against this surging French team. France comes in off a convincing 2-0 win over Uruguay in its last round. Good news for the French is that Blaise Matuidi is back from suspension after having to sit out the quarter-final. And that means that France comes in at full strength to this one. Keep your eyes on speedster Kylian Mbappe, who has scored three goals in the tournament, two of which came against Argentina. You’ll also want to track Antoine Griezmann for the French, who managed his third goal of the Tourney against Uruguay. Note that France comes in having won seven and drawn two of its last nine matches. Belgium will be missing the services of Thomas Meunier after he picked up his second yellow card against Brazil. The Belgians are led by Romelu Lukaku, who has four goals so far in the tournament. Lukaku scored four times over the first two group stage games, but he’s been quiet since. Clearly it’s not going to be easy for the French, as Belgium comes in unbeaten since August 2016, including having won all five of its games outright so far in the Tournament. But France has kept three clean sheets in its last four matches and I ultimately believe that Belgium will finally meet its match defensively in this one. The French are finally firing on all cylinders at both ends of the field and I like them to punch their ticket to the final game. Play on France. Good luck…Larry |

07-06-18 | France v. Uruguay OVER 2 | Top | 2-0 | Push | 0 | 73 h 4 m | Show |
My 10* TOTAL OF THE MONTH is the over France/Uruguay (10:00 AM EST). I’m expecting these two capable countries to put some balls in the back of the net. Uruguay comes in off a win over Portugal, while France took care of business over Argentina to advance to the Quarters. Uruguay will be looking for others to step up here with the news that Edinson Cavani is likely to sit this one out with a leg injury. That means that Cristhian Stuani will be paired with Luis Suarez up front in this one. Keep your eyes on Suarez though, who scored two goals in the group round to move to 53 on the international stage. Antoine Griezmann won the 2016 Euro Golden Boot and he’d notch another one in the most recent victory as well for France. The French would win 4-3 over Argentina and in my opinion, everything points to another high-scoring thriller here as well. France has history working against it this afternoon, as it’s won just one of its last seven matches against Uruguay. Kylian Mbappe has four goals in his last five appearances for the French though and I think he’ll have a productive match here as well. When you add it all up, this one the feel of a wide open “shootout,” rather than a tightly-checked “chess match.” Play the over. Good luck…Larry |

07-03-18 | England +112 v. Colombia | 1-1 | Loss | -100 | 29 h 58 m | Show
My 8* Las Vegas Insider is on England (2:00 EST). England rolled through the first two games of the group stage, but it came up short in a 1-0 setback to Belgium in the third. Regardless the Three Lions are in the Knockout Round and suffice it to say, I’m expecting them to roar on Tuesday afternoon. Note that England rested three players in the loss to Belgium. Colombia lost its opening match due to a red flag penalty early, but it then bounced back to win two straight to top its group. The biggest news for Colombia right now is the status of star player James Rodriguez, who has a major calf issue. Rodriguez is a question mark heading into game day, but even if he does manage to suit up, one has to wonder where his fitness level is at the moment? Colombia is still loaded with talent, as Radamel Falcao scored his 30th international goal in his team’s win over Poland in the second group stage match. England faces no such injury concerns though, as both John Stones and Dele Alli have been cleared to play. Harry Kane will also be on the field and he so far has five goals in this tournament. Stones has been big for the Three Lions as well (on both ends of the field), as he’d score two against Panama. Colombia may have kept four clean sheets in its last five games, but the “step up” in offensive competition today proves to be too much in my opinion. Several key players were rested for England against Belgium, but the team returns at full strength this afternoon and I think that’ll be the difference maker. Play on England. Good luck…Larry |
|||||||
07-02-18 | Mexico v. Brazil | 0-2 | Loss | -100 | 51 h 43 m | Show
This is an 8* PERFECT STORM on the DRAW between Mexico/Brazil (10:00 AM EST). Mexico upset Germany 1-0, but after the defending champs lost to South Korea 2-0 last week, that victory doesn’t look as impressive anymore. The Mexicans also lost 3-0 to Sweden in their final group fixture, putting added pressure on them to get back to form here. El Tri like to sit back and let the other side make the first mistake. Brazil obviously likes to push the pace and after a draw in its opener, it’s looked better as the tournament has worn on, capped off by a 2-0 win over Serbia in its final group game. Mexico is loaded with talent, but it’ll be doubling down on the defensive side today obviously. The last thing El Tri can do is give the Selecao any early momentum. Brazil has been decent defensively this year as well though and the “under” is also worthy of contemplation as well. I think the Mexicans come out with the game plan of playing to a “war of attrition.” Mexico would love to score the regulation upset, but it would have to like its chances in a shootout as well. I’m banking on this one going the distance. Play the draw. Good luck…Larry |
|||||||
07-01-18 | Russia v. Spain -159 | 1-1 | Loss | -159 | 27 h 35 m | Show
My 8* Las Vegas Insider is on Spain (10:00 AM EST). I think the Spaniards are well worth the price of admission to take this game in regulation. Spain comes in on a 23 match undefeated streak, having not lost since it was knocked out of Euro 2016. Spain topped Group B with an overall lacklustre effort, but it had to overcome the sacking of boss Julen Lopetigui on the eve of the World Cup. Russia started out with two victories, but it quickly came back down to Earth in its 3-0 loss to Uruguay in its final group stage match. If history is any precedence, then the Spaniards have to be liking their chances today, as they’ve never lost to Russia ever. Keep your eyes on Spain striker Diego Costa, who had five goals in qualifying and who had three over the first two group-stage matches. Granted, the Spaniards had a difficult time of it in the group stage, but still came out on on top. I think they’ll just get better from this point on. Denis Cheryshev had three goals over the first two games for Russia, but once matched against some world class competition, the host nation predictably stumbled. Note that Russia went seven matches without a win ahead of the World Cup as well. The Russians have never made it out of the group stage in the World Cup, so they’ve already in a small way accomplished what they’d hoped to achieve. I expect Spain to come in focused and to deliver the goods in regulation and stoppage. Good luck…Larry |
|||||||
06-30-18 | Portugal v. Uruguay | 1-2 | Loss | -100 | 54 h 47 m | Show
My 8* SITUATIONAL STUNNER is on the “DRAW” in Portugal/Uruguay (2:00 EST). I think this one will go to penalties. These teams are very similar in many respects and it’s a difficult matchup to call. Both possess a wealth of talent and experience and each has the potential to make a move deep into this Tournament. Uruguay is going to be extra cautious here on the backend as it prepares itself against Portugal’s aggressive front. Uruguay kept a clean sheet for a sixth match in a row in its 2-0 win over Russia in its final Group game. Both Edison Cavani and Luis Suarez scored as well, so it has every reason to feel confident in this spot against Christiano Ronaldo and company. Portugal is tough to beat though and it has become confident on this stage as well (has only lost one competitive match inside 90 minutes since September 2014.) Neither side will be going down without a fight and in a war of attrition, the “DRAW” absolutely takes on added value in my opinion. Good luck…Larry |
|||||||
06-28-18 | Belgium +190 v. England | Top | 1-0 | Win | 190 | 29 h 11 m | Show |
My 10* WINNER is on Belgium (2:00 EST). These two sides have found the back of the net at a prolific rate to open the 2018 World Cup, but to this point neither has really been challenged. That’s about to change on Thursday though. Belgium comes in on a 21 match unbeaten streak dating to 2016, while England is on a 12-game unbeaten run. Belgium most recently beat Tunisia 5-2, while England got the better of Panama 6-1. Top spot is up for grabs in Group G, but for a number of different reasons, I think the Belgians have the advantage. Harry Kane had two goals for the Three Lions in their opening win against Tunisia and then he notched a hat-trick against Panama. Kane though will figure to have a much more difficult time against the Belgians World class backend Thursday afternoon. England has a notorious history of struggling in the “big games,” and it also has had difficulty against other European nations, as the last Euro team it played it would draw 1-1 with Italy at Wembley in March. Romelu Lukaku is rolling for Belgium as well, as he netted two goals against both Panama and Tunisia. Over his last seven appearances for the Belgians he’s posted ten goals. As good as England has looked, I think it’s going to falter against this other European heavyweight. Belgium has won six of its last seven matches and it hasn’t lost since 2016. Belgium took care of Tunisia much easier than England did as well, as the Three Lions needed an extra time goal from Kane to secure the victory. The “step up” in competition proves to be too much for England in my opinion this time around. The Three Lions have already moved onto the next round, but Belgium is out to send a message on Thursday. Good luck…Larry |
|||||||
06-27-18 | Germany -1.5 v. South Korea | 0-2 | Loss | -167 | 24 h 51 m | Show
My 8* PERFECT STORM is on Germany -1.5 goals (10:00 AM EST). Germany’s been a major disappointment to this point of the tournament. The 2014 World Champs looked great in qualifying and in the international friendlies leading up, but an inexplicable 1-0 loss to El Tri in their opener, followed by a close 2-1 win over Sweden has done nothing to ease the nerves of the German faithful. But here’s the perfect opponent to get untracked against, as Korea offers little resistance in the back, coupled with an impotent attack up front. South Korea lost 1-0 to Sweden in its opening game and then 2-1 to Mexico in its second. Son Heung-min would score the only goal, but Korea will be out of the World Cup moving forward despite what happens today. Toni Kroos delivered a miracle for the German’s in injury time against the Swedes, and it’s a spark like that which I believe can ignite the flame of the underachieving champions. A victory today would guarantee Germany a spot in the Round of 16 and I think it’ll finally step up here and deliver the goods with a trade-mark effort. Note as well that Germany has won all five of its World Cup matches against Asian opponents, scoring 19 goals in total and keeping a clean sheet in each of the last three. I’m expecting a rout of epic proportions. Lay the 1.5 goals for the reasonable mid-sized price. Good luck…Larry |
|||||||
06-26-18 | France +128 v. Denmark | Top | 0-0 | Loss | -100 | 25 h 7 m | Show |
My 10* LAS VEGAS INSIDER is on France (10:00 AM EST). I think the French come out and play their best game of the Tournament so far and find a way to claim all three points in the end. Denmark has four points, while France has six. The Danes beat Peru 1-0, before then drawing with Australia 1-1. Note though that Yussuf Poulsen, who scored against Peru, received his second yellow card against the Aussies, meaning that he’ll be forced to sit this one out with France. France is deep and it’s 2-0 so far, but it’s much hyped offense has yet to hit its stride. With the likes of Antoine Griezmann, Kylian Mbappe, Olivier Giroud, Nabil Fekir, and Ousmane Dembele, expect a much more concerted effort from the French this evening. It wasn’t a cake walk for France to get to this point, but it’s still managed to find a way to get the job done and I think it’ll have more than enough to claim a full three from the Danes. Denmark has lost four of its last five World Cup games to fellow European countries and everything points to another setback here as well. All things considered, I think this is a very fair price on an underachieving, but extremely talented French team that looks poised for a breakout performance. Good luck…Larry |
|||||||
06-25-18 | Portugal -139 v. Iran | Top | 1-1 | Loss | -139 | 30 h 53 m | Show |
My 10* PERFECT STORM is on Portugal (2:00 EST). Iran has taken advantage of the opportunities presented to it so far and it’s been stout defensively. I don’t think that it’s going to amount to much though facing a Portugal team that will be pushing hard from start to finish. Iran’s victory over Morocco was its first World Cup win since beating the USA in the 1998 event. It nearly equalized against Spain, but a late VAR judging disallowed its late-goal last time out. Portugal’s draw with Spain means that it’s one point head of Iran after it fell 1-0 to the Spanish. A draw works in favor of the Portuguese this afternoon, but I don’t think that Christiano Ronaldo and company will be leaving anything to chance. Ronaldo appears to be on a mission, carrying his team on his back while also leading the tournament in goals scored to this point. Alireza Jahanbakhsh leads Iran, but so far his side has been pretty impotent up front. Jahanbakhsh made two hat tricks in the last two months leading up, earning him the Golden Boot, which no other Asian player had achieved in a top Euro league. However, that success has so far not translated onto the World Cup whatsoever. One other player to keep your eyes open for today for Portugal other than Rinaldo is Goncala Guedes, who has had a strong tournament and who had two goals in the final warm-up victory over Algeria. Iran is challenged offensively already (has only two shots on target in its two matches at the World Cup so far), which clearly doesn’t bode well facing a Portugal side which has kept three clean sheets in its last four fixtures. I have a hard time seeing Iran mustering any sort of offensive attack whatsoever. Iran has been stout defensively, but I expect it to wear down as the game winds on. This line could easily be much higher in my opinion. Play on Portugal. Good luck…Larry |
|||||||
06-24-18 | Japan v. Senegal +135 | Top | 2-2 | Loss | -100 | 27 h 10 m | Show |
My 10* Las Vegas Insider is on Senegal (11:00 AM EST). Both teams come in off opening game victories, claiming all three points. Japan shocked Colombia with a 2-1 victory, but it benefited greatly from an early red card which gave it the man-advantage. Shinji Kagwa scored his 31st goal for Japan in the win over Colombia as he and the rest of his team took advantage of Carlos Sanchez’s red card for deliberate handball. Japan would have a full 87 minutes against ten men and it would be too much for the Colombian’s to overcome in the end. Previous to that win though Japan had gone five matches without a victory, including three straight losses to Ukraine, Ghana and Switzerland. Senegal came up big in its 2-1 win over Poland. Mbaye Niang needed a touch of luck for his goal in the victory, but the striker is now off and running. Senegal has lost just one of its last 11 matches. Both of these teams played better than expected in their Game 1 victories and each took advantage of the circumstances presented to them. That said, the Japanese had an extra attacker for almost the entire game and I think it’s the only reason it pulled off the upset over Colombia. Senegal deserved its win over Poland and I think it’ll carry that momentum over here as well to earn another three points. Good luck…Larry |
|||||||
06-23-18 | South Korea v. Mexico -142 | Top | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 28 h 55 m | Show |
My 10* GAME OF THE MONTH is on Mexico (11:00 AM EST). Many may predict that Mexico will have a letdown here after its historic opening game victory over Germany. However, I am not one of those people. In fact, I think El Tri can smell the blood in the water, as they’ll look to take firm control of this group with a convincing victory over the impotent Korean attack. Mexico got a goal from Hirving Lozano, and then it clamped down on the defensive side, stymying the prolific German attack completely. What hope does the Korean Republic have after being held without a single shot on net in its 1-0 loss to Sweden? Heung Min-Son looked very average overall for Korea and while the Asian side didn’t make it easy on Sweden, it’s impossible for me to see them mustering any sort of semblance of an offensive attack against the Mexican’s stout back line. And to add insult to injury, Korea will be without the services of key figure, full-back Park Joo-Joo,who sustained a hard hit in the loss to Sweden. Mexico on the other hand comes in at full health and it’s expected to field the exact same line-up which took care of business against the defending World Cup champions. When you add it all up, I absolutely believe that we’re getting fantastic line value in this one. Lay the price, play on Mexico. Good luck…Larry |
|||||||
06-22-18 | Nigeria v. Iceland | 2-0 | Loss | -100 | 26 h 57 m | Show
My 8* SITUATIONAL STUNNER is the “draw” between Iceland and Nigeria (11:00 AM EST). These are two teams hungry for an outright victory, but I’m predicting these sides to play to an even “draw.” Nigeria now has its back against the wall after falling 2-0 to Croatia in its opener. This is an important one for Iceland as well. Iceland managed to post an improbable 1-1 draw against Argentina in its opener and while It’ll also be looking for a win here, another “draw” wouldn’t be the end of the World for it either. Nigeria posted an unfortunate “own goal” in the first half last week, which clearly had a mental effect on the Super Eagles moving forward. And one has to wonder if the team will ever get over that opening setback? Iceland beat England in the 2016 Euros and it has continued to defy the odds since. After topping its World cup qualifying group, it looks poised to continue to re-write its nation’s history in its first ever World Cup tournament. Note that five of Iceland’s last six competitive games have seen fewer than three goals, which doesn’t bode well for this dejected Nigeria team in my opinion. It wasn’t all roses for Iceland though in its victory, as note that after posting eight shots in the first half against Argentina last week, it failed to register a single attempt over the second 45 minutes of play. Great value on what I predict to be a very even contest. Play the “draw.” Good luck…Larry |

06-21-18 | Australia v. Denmark +108 | Top | 1-1 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 2 m | Show |
My 10* PERFECT STORM is on Denmark (8:00 AM EST). Australia looked decent in its opening round match against France, but the Socceroos couldn’t match pace down the stretch and it would eventually succumb 2-1. Denmark didn’t look particularly good either in its opening match, but in the end it would take the 1-0 win over Peru. Denmark is loaded with talent, and I have a hard time seeing Australia mounting much of an offensive attack here. Keep your eyes on Denmark stars Nicolai Jorgensen, who finished his league campaign with Feyenoord with three goals in five games. Also Yussuf Poulsen, who notched the winning goal against Peru. Note that the Danes haven’t lost a full international match since 2016, a run of 15 games without defeat. Australia’s key players include Aaron Mooy, who directs the show in the middle, as well as goalkeeper Matthew Ryan, who made an impressive start with Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League. But as mentioned off the top, the Socceroos have struggled to find offensive production at times, which clearly doesn’t bode well in facing the stingy Danes who have not conceded a goal in their last five matches and who have only allowed three goals in their last 11. Denmark’s defensive form is unmatched right now and I think it’ll be the deciding factor here as well. Great value, play on the Danes. Good luck…Larry |

06-20-18 | Morocco v. Portugal -167 | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 74 h 34 m | Show
My 8* Las Vegas Insider is on Portugal (8:00 AM EST). Christiano Ronaldo stamped himself as the greatest player to ever play (in my professional opinion anyways) after scoring three goals himself in his team’s 3-3 tie with Spain. I believe Ronaldo is on a mission in this tournament and I look for the super star to play a big role in this one as well. Morocco will be desperate after falling 1-0 to Iran, but I still don’t think it’ll have have enough heart or skill to match pace with Portugal, who will also be eager to earn a full 3-points this time around. Spain was a -350 favorite approximately over Portugal and while the Spaniards did in fact control the overall pace of the opening game, Ronaldo was playing on an entirely different level. Ronaldo though refused to take any of the credit for the impressive draw: “I think the team played very well and is going to do well for sure,” he assessed afterwards. “We have to look to the next match now because our goal is to win.” Morocco dominated its opening match for the most part, but Aziz Bouhaddouz would accidentally head the ball into his own net and suffice it to say, I think the African country will still be mentally devastated coming into this one. A dejected and shaky Morocco side against a determined and focused Ronaldo? Franky, I think this line could easily be larger. In my professional opinion, this is indeed the very definition of great line value. Play on Portugal. Good luck…Larry |
