11-29-15 | Norwich City v. Arsenal -1 | 1-1 | Loss | -103 | 59 h 9 m | Show
Arsenal put three past European opposition this week, without really breaking a sweat. While Coquelins injury is bad news, Flamini will step in to the holding midfield slot this weekend as he did on Tuesday and Norwich have nothing to offer that will trouble him too much. Aaron Ramsey is perhaps ready to come back to his right midfield place which is a real boost to the gunners. |
11-28-15 | AFC Bournemouth v. Everton | 3-3 | Push | 0 | 34 h 56 m | Show
Everton are in fantastic form lately. The main reason for this is the understanding young attacking midfielder Ross Barkley and Belgian power house Romelu Lukaku have formed. They read each other very well now, and make runs and passes that suit each others game perfectly. Another big factor in Everton's fine form is Spaniard Deulofeus run. He is really finding form and confidence in his right wing attacking role. He has always clearly had the talent but is adding consistency and good decision making to go with it. These three players make up a potent attack which will be too big of a test for Bournemouth. Bournemouth are having a tough time of late. Injuries are racking up, long term injuries are still a huge loss and they are just not coming up with results. They have only gathered 9 points from a possible 39 so far this season and as the tough winter schedule begins, an in form Everton team are one of the worst possible opponents for them. SportsAtari. com reminds you to remember that we're paying the extra juice on a pk to ensure a push in case there's a draw. This is a very safe bet. |
11-21-15 | Manchester City -154 v. Liverpool | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 54 h 41 m | Show
Manchester City currently sit at the top of the league. This, despite injuries to star players Aguero, Silva and Kompany throughout the season so far. However all three are expected to return versus Liverpool this weekend, and all three are major difference makers for City. Agueros fitness throughout the season will decide whether or not City are again crowned champions at the end of the season. If he is fit and firing, City are favorites versus any team in the country. |
11-21-15 | West Bromwich Albion v. Arsenal -1 | 2-1 | Loss | -117 | 51 h 56 m | Show
11-08-15 | Aston Villa v. Manchester City -1 | Top | 0-0 | Loss | -139 | 31 h 46 m | Show |
SportsAtari's Daily Reports: Ex-Arsenal player Remi Garde takes charge of Aston Villa for his first game this weekend. His task is massive. Villa look weak all across the park and his first game is a baptism of fire. He faces an inform City squad high on confidence, fresh from beating Sevilla midweek. Toure had an excellent game and I expect him to boss the midfield and run the game again. Kolarov and Kompany are fit again and look back in form. City have tightened it up at the back and look threatening every time they go forward. Villa are in serious trouble. Unfit players, trying to play a system they were unsuited to and didn't understand. Sherwood absolutely had to go, and he has left a huge job for new coach, Garde. He will have to start the rebuilding job next weekend as they won't be taking any points away this one. |

10-31-15 | Watford v. West Ham United | 2-0 | Loss | -100 | 70 h 54 m | Show
ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE SOCCER GAME OF THE MONTH:Â |
10-25-15 | Manchester United v. Manchester City | Top | 0-0 | Push | 0 | 75 h 37 m | Show |
I'm backing City to overcome fierce rivals United here in this top of the table derby. There are several reasons for this choice, the main one being Uniteds preparation for the game. On Wednesday night they played in sub zero temperatures in Moscow. They managed to salvage a draw in Russia through a late equalizer, but all of Uniteds worst qualities were on show. They looked sluggish, lacking in creativity and indecisive in both attack and defence. Rooney again did nothing to prove that he is not on the decline. |
10-17-15 | Watford v. Arsenal -1 | Top | 0-3 | Win | 100 | 95 h 53 m | Show |
After a resounding victory over Manchester United last game week, a win here would send out a big message of intent from the Gunners. I'm counting on it happening. Arsenal have no major injury concerns and no suspensions ahead of the trip to Watford and several key players are enjoying an outstanding run of form. Star players Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil, Theo Walcott and goalkeeper Petr Cech all look very strong at the moment and the Gunners are looking very good in all departments across the field. |
10-11-15 | Poland -106 v. Republic of Ireland | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 52 h 33 m | Show
Poland at home in the final group of the qualifiers is too much an ask for the Irish. Lewandowski is the main man who stands between the two teams. His blistering form for both club and country sets the two teams apart here, Ireland simply have no one approaching that level of player. Ireland will be pushing hard and this will leave gaps at the back for the hitman to expose and take advantage of.This should be a letdown spot for Ireland after the huge win over Germany. Poland needs to win to qualify. |
10-10-15 | Kazakhstan v. Netherlands -1.5 | 1-2 | Loss | -127 | 74 h 12 m | Show
This has been a poor qualifying campaign for the Netherlands. They are highly unlikely to make the championships. Any chance they have relies on other teams failure, and the Dutch amassing a large number of goals in the last few games of qualifying. Here they have the perfect chance to get started versus international minnows Kazakhstan.Van Persie is in form, Robben has been passed fit by Bayern and Holland will be on the attack from the kick off. Holland to win over two goals |
10-08-15 | Scotland v. Poland | Top | 2-2 | Push | 0 | 29 h 58 m | Show |
If Ireland don't beat Germany, which is highly likely, then Poland need only to beat Scotland and they could be qualified for the championships.  The Poles have amassed twenty nine goals in qualifying so far. Scotland are fourth in the group and must win, but I feel this plays into Polands hands as they will pick them off if they attack too hard. The form of one man is the huge difference in this game. Robert Lewandowski of Bayern is probably the in form player in the world at the moment. Of the twenty nine Polish goals in qualifying he has 10. His recent form shows twelve goals in his last four games. Which is terrifying for any defense. The Scotland assistant manager has came out to the media and stated that they 'don't fear Lewandowski'. They should. |
10-04-15 | Arsenal +102 v. Manchester United | Top | 3-0 | Win | 102 | 46 h 31 m | Show |
I'm going for a home win for the gunners in this highly important game. Arsenal suffered a loss midweek in Europe versus Olympiakos, but rested several key players. United managed to win their game but played an almost full strength team and were very fortunate to come out with a win. Rooney once again played very poorly and Uniteds attack was slowed by him on several occasions. |
09-26-15 | Manchester United -2 v. Sunderland | 3-0 | Win | 113 | 24 h 24 m | Show
This is about as much of a lock as you will find these days. This is a second place versus twentieth place 'clash', that will almost certainly be an easy a home win as United will get all season. |
09-19-15 | Stoke City v. Leicester | Top | 2-2 | Push | 0 | 47 h 21 m | Show |
This will seem a very strange pick, but I see Stoke picking up their first win of the season here at home, against high flying Leicester. Remember that a pk or 0 means that the bet is a push or cancelled if they tie. The other option is to take them at +148 on the moneyline but the pk is a safer bet.Â
09-12-15 | Arsenal -1.5 v. Stoke City | 2-0 | Win | 100 | 72 h 50 m | Show
I'm backing Arsenal to continue a run of good form and push up the league table. The Gunners have no injury concerns of note. Key player Mesut Ozil had an excellent game on Monday night for Germany and looks like hes about to hit top form. French defender Koscienly is back from injury and will take back his place in the center of defence. |
08-30-15 | Norwich City v. Southampton +106 | Top | 0-3 | Win | 106 | 50 h 3 m | Show |
Southampton suffered a surprising loss and exit from European competition this week. They didn't field an especially weakened line up but suffered at the hands of Norwegian opposition. This suggests to me that although manager Koeman may have had European dreams as a priority, the players perhaps had other ideas. They seem to want to concentrate on the league after a stuttering start. They had an excellent campaign last season and while they faded towards they end, at one point they looked good for a top four position. |
05-24-15 | Sunderland v. Chelsea -298 | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 73 h 31 m | Show
Sunderland completed an amazing escape from relegation last night by taking a point from the Gunners away from home. They are now 100% safe from the drop, and have totally used up any remaining energy they had in the last two months or so. They have fought very hard and deserved to stay up. The players very likely are totally unconcerned about the Chelsea game and the fans will be more interested in seeing if local rivals Newcastle take the final relegation spot.Jose Mourinho is a pure winner, and seeing his team loose 3-0 at any point in his career will sicken him. He will send his players out this weekend versus Sunderland with a strong focus on attack and scoring goals. |
05-17-15 | Arsenal +213 v. Manchester United | 1-1 | Loss | -100 | 73 h 40 m | Show
I'm recommending a play on the gunners here again after the success they enjoyed at Old Trafford earlier this year. Swansea frustrated Arsenal last weekend but in truth Arsenal could have scored five, the ball just didn't drop for them. They dominated the ball for the most part of the game and all that was missing was the final touch against at team playing 11 men behind the ball for the whole game. |
05-09-15 | Sunderland v. Everton -120 | Top | 2-0 | Loss | -120 | 46 h 29 m | Show |
After backing Everton last week versus Aston Villa I found them deeply disappointing. They were totally off the ball and miles away from the potential the first team undoubtedly has. I'm certain they will seek to rectify what was almost an embarrassing result this week, versus Sunderland.Sunderland will be playing for their lives but Everton without doubt have simply too much class and quality for them across the pitch in every department. Sunderland are having trouble generally scoring goals from any area of the pitch and the defense is extremely suspect, there is a good reason they are in the position they currently occupy. Everton are far stronger at Goodison. They recently destroyed Manchester United and before that took three points from a resilient Burnley side. I see no further than an Everton win here. |
05-03-15 | Manchester City v. Tottenham Hotspur +282 | 1-0 | Loss | -100 | 73 h 28 m | Show
Ere on the side of caution here, perhaps a monster bet is inappropriate, due to the erratic nature of Tottenham, but I'm backing them to take three points from City here. Since being ruthlessly exposed by United, City have picked up maximum points from the last two fixtures. However, this far from tells the full story. They were exceptionally lucky versus Aston Villa, who should have been awarded a late penalty to tie the game and Hart should have been dismissed. City are missing midfield titan Yaya Toure for the game, who while looking almost disinterested at times this season, is still the first name on the team sheet as they have no one close to his quality who can do the same job. Also missing is Citys best center back and natural leader, Vincent Kompany. Harry Kane will be rubbing his hands together at the thought of attacking this exposed, almost weak looking City defence. Nacer Chadli will be able to run at the well out of form Zabaleta and Tottenham will push hard for a win, knowing they have a slim chance of taking the coveted fourth spot if they can carry form to the end of the year. |
04-25-15 | Newcastle United v. Swansea City +225 | 2-3 | Win | 225 | 23 h 4 m | Show
I'm backing Swansea to add to the numerous woes of Newcastle who have the most under qualified inexperienced manager in the league, combined with a squad disillusioned under the current ownership, many of who are already on the beach for the summer. The players mostly look uninterested and unconcerned about the clubs plight and I expect Swansea to take full advantage of that. |
04-18-15 | Manchester United v. Chelsea | Top | 0-1 | Loss | -100 | 36 h 54 m | Show |
Here is a fixture that has draw written all over it. Traditionally, Jose Mourinho plays not too loose when he plays versus any team he considers a threat. Given Manchesters recent run of form he will consider this as usual, a must avoid defeat at all costs game. |
04-11-15 | Burnley v. Arsenal -180 | Top | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 37 h 25 m | Show |
After another convincing win last weekend versus Liverpool I see Arsenal continuing to push hard and continue the incredible run they are currently enjoying.Ozil is looking a lot like the player gunners fans expected when he was signed from Madrid, Giroud is silencing all critics and seems to be adding consistent goal scoring to his all-round great hold up game. Added with the fine form of Sanchez and Cazorla, Arsenal look every bit like challenging if Chelsea slip up at any point. |
03-21-15 | Arsenal -168 v. Newcastle United | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 27 h 11 m | Show
Arsenal will go to town on Newcastle Newcastles management have issued an apology to their unproven rookie manager John Carver, over the appalling state of the first team squad. They have a total of 13 first team players fit for the game versus the utterly in form Arsenal. Collocini, Newcastles only centre back held in any esteem is suspended following a red card in the prior game versus Everton, Cisse the only striker of any experience is still suspended following the debacle versus Evans of Manchester United. Following the gunners knock out in Europe to Monaco, on away goals ruling, and after seeing rivals Chelsea and City drop points off late, Wenger will know they have an outside shot at the championship. He will pick a strong team and attack the frail Newcastle defence hard as the league table is so tight currently, goal difference could well play a deciding factor come the end of the year. Arsenal will push hard versus a team with very little to play for and who have historically produced very little versus the gunners. Look to take Arsenal to win by 2 to reduce the juice on either the -1 or the -1.5 line. |
03-14-15 | Manchester City -208 v. Burnley | 0-1 | Loss | -208 | 28 h 54 m | Show
Saturday at 1:30pm EST I'm recommending that you take the Asian Handicap of -1 on this soccer match to grab the favorites for the price of -208 for 1 unit. It's worth it when you look at a completely healthy Man City that is looking to put the pressure on the league leader Chelsea. The last time both teams met on this field Man City came out and scored 3 goals in the first 7 minutes and won 6-1. Burley has only taken 2 points in their last 7 matches. Chelsea has a game in hand meaning that City has played one more than them going into this weekend. They need the full points to catch up as they're 5 points behind at the moment. David Silva is a beast right now with 4 goals in his last 6.  Take Manchester City for the win or the -1. I'm going to personally take the -1 at -131. |
03-14-15 | West Ham United v. Arsenal -245 | 0-3 | Win | 100 | 25 h 10 m | Show
I strongly feel Arsenal will put more than three past West Ham on Saturday. Not solely because of the form the gunners but also due to the Hammers crippling injury list. Out of five Recognized strikers on the books, One is fit for West Ham, and three of the four first choice defenders who had previously kept quite a tight ship are also out injured. I expect Theo Walcott to return as at least a substitute and he has much to prove. After recovering from a lengthy spell in the treatment room, he has found first team and even sub chances hard to come by. However with the European game in midweek Sanchez and Ozil are unlikely to play the full 90 and the confirmation that Chamberlain, the man who has mostly occupied his place is injured, then he will never get a better chance to show why he should be starting more regularly. Arsenal have a chance to push for second place this year and with the teams above them stuttering slightly, Wenger will be eager for them to push on. West Ham appear to be running out of steam and with the European places slowly falling away from their reach, they have little to play for, the next three games after Arsenal will be much more winnable for them perhaps. |
03-07-15 | Tottenham Hotspur -125 v. Queens Park Rangers | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 24 h 36 m | Show
This weekend's lone match in the EPL rounds features Queen's Park Rangers at home to Tottenham. Both of these London clubs are looking for a win, with QPR battling to avoid regulation and Tottenham fighting for a Europa league spot. One only needs to look at their relative postions in the table to see who the likely winner would be with QPR in 18th and Tottenham in 7th place. Tottenham is coming off a win at home mid-week, scoring three goals against Swansea, one of the better defenses in the league. With the likes of young Harry Kane leading their attack and the passing of Erickson, Tottenham have found the back of the net frequently, their potent offence third in the league for goal scoring. QPR on the other hand have had to lean heavily on Charlie Austin who is on 15 goals this year. QPR will be taking this match seriously, but they lack the quality and speed that Tottenham have in their midfield. Look for Tottenham to win comfortably in this London Derby. |
02-22-15 | Everton -122 v. Leicester | Top | 2-2 | Loss | -122 | 10 h 51 m | Show |
Sunday's EPL is pits 12th place Everton at home to bottom of the league Leicester. Looking at these two teams recent form, its not surprising that Everton's record is a lot better than Leicester's, with Everton getting 6 points from their last 4 games with 3 draws and a win, and Leicester bringing home exactly 0 points in their last 4 games. Everton will be taking the game to Leicester at home, only managing draws against some tough competition such as the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool. Leicester looks to be an easy three points to a hungry Everton squad. |
01-17-15 | Southampton +138 v. Newcastle United | Top | 2-1 | Win | 138 | 30 h 38 m | Show |
The defection of head coach Alan Pardew has left the Newcastle football team with a problem, namely finding a new coach. Currently at the helm is caretaker manager John Carver, and while the players seem to like it, the stark reality is that Newcastle have not been able to salvage a point since Pardew left the club. When you look at their opposition this week, Southampton look to be a much stronger, organised side. Their cool 1-0 win over Manchester United, a side of undeniable quality, with players like Angel Di Maria, Wayne Rooney, Juan Mata to overtake them and climb to third overall. It doesn't take a genius to see that Southampton, riding a wave of 5 wins in a row are safe bet to beat rudderless Newcastle. |
12-20-14 | West Ham United -139 v. Leicester | 2-0 | Win | 100 | 21 h 23 m | Show
West Ham currently sits at 4th on the table with Leicster occupying the bottom of the table, which is a strong indicator of the outcome of tomorrow's match. To those such as myself who greedily look forward to each fixture, one cannot help but look on West Ham's form this year the same way one would at their child when they first learned to ride their bike. West Ham have always been perrenial underacheiver's, barely staying above relegation for the past five years. Coach Sam Allardyce has fashioned a team balanced with veterans like Stuart Downing, whose career started with promise, but was shipped around from club to club, struggling to find a starting 11 spot. This is his year, 4th in the league with 6 assists, he's been insturmental in West Ham's winning ways. Downing's many years is balanced out by EPL newcomer, striker Diafra Sakho, who has found the back of the net 6 times in this years campaign. His ferocious pace gets him into scoring positions and clinical finishing does the rest. West Ham form is great, dropping only 2 points of a possible 12 in their last 4 games. Leicester by comparison has been miserable, their last win in September against Man United. West Ham should win this fixture easily. |
12-14-14 | Manchester United -125 v. Liverpool | Top | 3-0 | Win | 100 | 83 h 54 m | Show |
Man united vs Liverpool. Enter Louis van Gaal. He coached the Netherlands to a third place finish in the 2014 World Cup, after leading Barcelona to 2 Spanish league titles and then Bayern Munich to two Bundesliga titles and losing to his pupil Jose Mourinho in the champions league final. His pedigree strong, his playing style, 5-3-2, has always been hard for his new teams to adapt to, which led to pot starts.Manchester United was no different, looking horrible in the early going this season, falling to as far as 15th in the table, but once players got used to his system, they started winning. Man U currently sit third in the table and see set to take on Liverpool at home. Liverpool, who finished 2nd in the league last year due to the combined firepower of Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge, the striking duo that led the league in gossip last season. Luis Saurez's trade to Barcelona this year hurt Liverpool deep. Sturridge looks lost without Suarez's support, and Liverpool currently sit at a deserved 9th place in the table.
