05-06-16 | Cavs -2 v. Hawks | Top | 121-108 | Win | 100 | 8 h 29 m | Show |
Cavs The Cleveland Cavaliers are fresh off the greatest 3-point shooting performance in NBA history and look to once again dismantle the host Atlanta Hawks in Friday's Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals. Cleveland knocked down a record 25 3-pointers - the most in the regular season or postseason - while rolling to a 123-98 win that represents its 10th consecutive playoff victory over the Hawks. Atlanta was demoralized while facing a 74-38 halftime deficit and shooting guard Kyle Korver was in disbelief over what he was viewing.Atlanta faces a do-or-die situation in Game 3 and would like to avoid being swept in a playoff series by the Cavaliers for the second straight season. Cavaliers are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games playing on 1 days rest.Hawks are 5-16-1 ATS in their last 22 Conference Semifinals games and are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games following a straight up loss. I don’t see much changing in this series and I’m back the Cavs again tonight. |
|||||||
05-05-16 | Heat v. Raptors -185 | Top | 92-96 | Win | 100 | 6 h 59 m | Show |
Raptors (Money-Line – 185) The Raptors will try to get more out of Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan and even the series when they host the Miami Heat in Game 2 on Thursday. Lowry stayed in the gym after finishing up with his media responsibilities on Tuesday to shoot jumpers. Miami squandered a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter before regrouping for the overtime win. As bad as the Raptors were shooting the ball they still managed to get to O.T. I’m looking for a much better performance in game two by the team as a whole. I don’t want to lay the points so I’m betting a rare game on the money line. |
|||||||
05-04-16 | Hawks v. Cavs -7 | Top | 98-123 | Win | 100 | 10 h 31 m | Show |
Cavs The Cleveland Cavaliers keep knocking off Atlanta in the postseason and look to do it for the 10th consecutive time when they host the Hawks in Wednesday's Game 2. Cleveland continued its playoff mastery of Atlanta with a 104-93 series-opening victory on Monday as it held the Hawks to 37.9 percent shooting from the field. Cleveland drained 15 3-point baskets and received a stellar all-around effort from forward LeBron James, who had 25 points, nine assists, seven rebounds and five steals. Look for more of the same tonight. The Hawks starting guards Jeff Teague (eight points on 2-of-9 shooting) and Kyle Korver (three points, 0-of-1 shooting) were highly unproductive in game one. Atlanta C Al Horford had just 10 points on 4-of-13 shooting in the opener, marking the fourth time in seven postseason games that he has tallied 10 or fewer points. Hawks are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and are 5-15-1 ATS in their last 21 Conference Semifinals games.Cavaliers are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games playing on 1 days rest.Hawks are 0-5 ATS in the last 5 meetings. |
|||||||
05-03-16 | Blazers v. Warriors -9.5 | Top | 99-110 | Win | 100 | 10 h 22 m | Show |
Warriors The Golden State Warriors had no problem scoring without MVP Stephen Curry in Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals and put the focus on defense for most of the afternoon. The Portland Trail Blazers had no answers for the Warriors’ big bodies in the lane and on the perimeter and will try to make some changes before visiting Golden State for Game 2 on Tuesday. The Warriors frustrated Portland guards Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum with a series of bigger defenders and funneled the action into the paint, where Andrew Bogut and Draymond Green were waiting to score. The Trail Blazers fell behind by 20 points in the first quarter and never managed to work their way back into the game before falling 118-106. Trail Blazers are 8-21-1 ATS in their last 30 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600 and are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game.Warriors are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall and are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 home games. |
|||||||
05-03-16 | Heat +4.5 v. Raptors | Top | 102-96 | Win | 100 | 8 h 51 m | Show |
Heat The Toronto Raptors and the Miami Heat both had more trouble in the first round than they intended and ended up battling through seven games to reach the Eastern Conference semifinals. Neither team will have had much time to prepare when the Raptors host the Heat in Game 1 on Tuesday. Miami star Dwyane Wade kept his team alive with a brilliant fourth quarter in Game 6 but everyone stepped up in Game 7 with the season on the line. Dragic scored 25 points in the clincher while Hassan Whiteside, who feels that the strength the team formed in the series will help them the rest of the way in the playoffs, capped a strong series with 10 points, 12 rebounds and five blocked shots. Toronto scrapped past the seventh-seeded Pacers despite terrible shooting slumps from Lowry (31.6 percent from the field in the series) and DeRozan (31.9). Heat are 12-5 ATS in their last 17 games following a straight up win of more than 10 points and are 23-10 ATS in their last 33 vs. Eastern Conference.Raptors are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games playing on 1 days rest and are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record. |
|||||||
05-01-16 | Blazers v. Warriors -9 | Top | 106-118 | Win | 100 | 5 h 44 m | Show |
Warriors The Portland Trail Blazers benefited from some injury luck in the first round against the Los Angeles Clippers and are hoping for some more when they visit the top-seeded Golden State Warriors in Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals on Sunday. Warriors MVP guard Stephen Curry (knee) will miss Game 1 and could miss several games in the series. Fact is the Blazers are lucky to be here after beating the injury plagued Clippers. I’ll look for the Warriors to come out red-hot on both ends of the floor here in game one even without Curry. Trail Blazers are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game.Warriors are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 home games and are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall. |
|||||||
05-01-16 | Hornets +6.5 v. Heat | Top | 73-106 | Loss | -115 | 2 h 19 m | Show |
Hornets The Charlotte Hornets had a chance to close out the series at home but ran into a vintage performance from Dwyane Wade in Game 6. Now it’s the Miami Heat with a chance to clinch the best-of-7 series in front of their home fans, and they host the Hornets in the decisive Game 7 on Sunday. I’m playing the underdog and the points in the Hornets as this game will no doubt come down to late in the 4th quarter. |
|||||||
04-29-16 | Heat v. Hornets -118 | Top | 97-90 | Loss | -118 | 8 h 23 m | Show |
Hornets The Charlotte Hornets have won three straight games and took full control of the their first-round series against the fourth-seeded Miami Heat by stealing a win on the road on Wednesday. The Hornets have a chance to close out the series and advance to the Eastern Conference semifinals when they host the Heat in Game 6 on Friday. The Heat will leave Miami with the same feelings they had after leaving Charlotte following Game 4 as they question the refereeing but the NBA said Thursday that a non-foul on Dwyane Wade with 2.6 seconds left was the correct call.Miami starting PG Goran Dragic recorded more personal fouls (12) than assists (10) in the last three games. Hornets G Nicolas Batum (ankle) returned from a two-game absence in Game 5 and scored eight points in 25 minutes off the bench. Including wins in this series, Charlotte has gone 15-2 in its last 17 home games. Plus, Miami is 7-10 SU and 6-11 ATS as a visitor since the All-Star break and that includes a 1-7 record as a road underdog. |
|||||||
04-29-16 | Raptors +2 v. Pacers | Top | 83-101 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 58 m | Show |
Raptors Toronto shooting guard DeMar DeRozan emerged from his playoff hibernation in the Game 5 victory and will attempt to help the Raptors clinch the best-of-7 series when they visit the Indiana Pacers on Friday. DeRozan set a personal best for the postseason with 34 points in the 102-99 road win to give the Raptors a 3-2 series lead. Bismack Biyombo was a big-time standout in Game 5 with 10 points and 16 rebounds and he is averaging nine boards in the series. Indiana faces elimination after letting a 17-point lead get away in Game 5 and helped Toronto's comeback bid by scoring just nine fourth-quarter points. Raptors are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS loss. Raptors are 9-2 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Indiana and are 12-4 ATS in the last 16 meetings overall. Pacers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 Friday games. |
|||||||
04-28-16 | Hawks v. Celtics +2 | Top | 104-92 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 38 m | Show |
Celtics The Atlanta Hawks found a formula to stop Isaiah Thomas in Game 5, and it brought them to the brink of a series win. The Hawks will try to stop a hobbled Thomas again and close out the series when they visit the Boston Celtics for Game 6 on Thursday. Thomas, who vows to play in Game 6, averaged 35 points in home wins in Games 3 and 4 and was the clear focus of the Hawks defense in Game 5, with two players trapping every time he had the ball. Thomas expressed confidence that his teammates will be able to step up with the series on the line, and guard Marcus Smart will get one more chance in front of the home crowd after posting 20 points, eight rebounds and five assists in Game 4. Hawks are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 road games overall. Celtics are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games. |
|||||||
04-27-16 | Rockets v. Warriors -9 | Top | 81-114 | Win | 100 | 11 h 1 m | Show |
Warriors - 9 Counting their two home wins to open this series, the Warriors are 41-2 at Oracle Arena this season, while the Rockets come in 18-25 on the road. This will be their fourth game in Oakland, losing 123-110 in the regular season and by scores of 104-78 and 115-106 in this series. Houston has gone 2-8 in its last 10 playoff games on the road and more importantly its 3-7 versus the number with six of the eight losses coming by nine or more points. Look for the warriors without Curry to really step up their game in this spot tonight and to close out the series and get some much needed rest before round two. |
|||||||
04-27-16 | Hornets v. Heat OVER 193.5 | Top | 90-88 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 35 m | Show |
Hornets/Heat over 193.5 The Heat have been two different teams in the playoffs depending on the venue and will hope for a return to form on offense when the series shifts back to Miami for Game 5 on Wednesday.The Heat set a franchise postseason scoring record with 123 points in Game 1 and put up 72 in the first half of a 115-103 Game 2 win before failing to crack 90 points in either of the two road games. The over has gone 10-2 in the last 12 playoff games in Miami. Plus, the last 10 encounters in South Florida between the Heat and Hornets have all gone over the posted total. Over is 5-0 in Hornets last 5 road games and is 6-1 in Hornets last 7 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600. Take over the total in game five. |
|||||||
04-26-16 | Celtics v. Hawks -7 | Top | 83-110 | Win | 100 | 9 h 49 m | Show |
Hawks – 7 The Boston Celtics managed to even the series on their home floor and are hoping for the same effort when the series shifts to Atlanta for Game 5 on Tuesday. The Hawks let a 16-point, second-half lead slip away before falling in overtime in Game 4 but have won five straight and 12 of their last 14 games at home going back to the regular season. Boston is mired in a 3-10 ATS slump in its last 13 road games. Celtics All-Star guard Isaiah Thomas had a tough time scoring in the first two games in Atlanta and that should continue with the way the Hawks play defense at home. Celtics also are just 2-9 ATS in their last 11 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.Home team is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings. |
|||||||
04-26-16 | Pacers v. Raptors -6.5 | Top | 99-102 | Loss | -108 | 6 h 19 m | Show |
Raptors – 6.5 The main issue for the second-seeded Raptors continues to be the subpar play of the All-Star backcourt of point guard Kyle Lowry and shooting guard DeMar DeRozan. Look for both of them to really step up their game tonight in this pivotal Game 5. There has yet to be a close game in the series - both teams' two victories have been by an average of 13.5 points. Toronto owns a 16-5 spread record in its last 21 games against Indiana, going 23-8 in its 31 at home versus the Pacers.Pacers are 7-15-1 ATS in their last 23 games following a straight up win.Raptors are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS loss. |
|||||||
04-25-16 | Mavs v. Thunder -14.5 | Top | 104-118 | Loss | -108 | 7 h 6 m | Show |
Thunder All-Star small forward Kevin Durant will be on the floor when the third-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder attempt to close out their first-round series against the visiting Dallas Mavericks on Monday. A flagrant 2 foul got Durant ejected late in Saturday's 119-108 road win over the sixth-seeded Mavericks but he avoided a suspension despite being fined $15,000 by the NBA. Look for him to go off tonight. Point guard Deron Williams (sports hernia) departed just 89 seconds into Game 4 after aggravating the injury and will miss the rest of the series for Dallas. Mavericks are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 Conference Quarterfinals games.Thunder are 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game. |
|||||||
04-25-16 | Heat v. Hornets OVER 195.5 | Top | 85-89 | Loss | -104 | 6 h 5 m | Show |
Heat/Hornets Over The Miami Heat set a historic offensive pace in the first two games of their first-round series before crashing back to earth in Game 3. The Charlotte Hornets will try to put together back-to-back solid defensive efforts and even the series at two wins apiece when they host the Heat in Game 4. Miami scored a franchise playoff-record 123 points in a Game 1 win and followed it up with a 115-103 triumph in Game 2. I’m looking for that kind of effort tonight. Over is 6-2 in Heat last 8 games following a straight up loss.Over is 7-1 in Hornets last 8 overall. |
|||||||
04-23-16 | Thunder -8.5 v. Mavs | Top | 119-108 | Win | 100 | 9 h 48 m | Show |
Thunder Oklahoma City All-Star forward Kevin Durant rebounded from a horrific game to help the Thunder gain control of the series and he aims to produce again in Saturday's Game 4 against the host Dallas Mavericks. Durant was 7-of-33 shooting as the Thunder fell in Game 2 but rebounded to score a series-best 34 points as third-seeded Oklahoma City rolled to a 131-102 win on Thursday to take a 2-1 series lead. The sixth-seeded Mavericks had threatened to make it a series after the 85-84 road win in Game 2 but were totally outclassed back on the home floor. I look for more of the same here. Thunder are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games versus a team with a winning straight up record.Mavericks are 0-6 ATS in their last six home games versus a team with a winning road record. |
|||||||
04-23-16 | Heat v. Hornets OVER 200.5 | Top | 80-96 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 17 m | Show |
Heat/Hornets Over The tempo for this series has been up and down the floor and I don’t expect that to change here in game 3 in Charlotte. Over is 4-0 in Heat last four versus Southeast Division opponents.Over is 7-0 in Hornets last seven overall. I’m backing over the total here in game 3 and expect the Heat to score well over 100 points again. |
|||||||
04-23-16 | Heat +3 v. Hornets | Top | 80-96 | Loss | -105 | 6 h 17 m | Show |
Heat The Miami Heat have put on an offensive clinic in breezing to a 2-0 lead over the Hornets and hope to keep the points coming when the series shifts to Charlotte for Game 3 on Saturday. The Heat scored a franchise playoff-record 123 points in Game 1 and tallied 72 in the first half of a 115-103 triumph in Game 2.Miami is shooting 57.8 percent from the floor through the first two games and Dwyane Wade is averaging 22 points and 7.5 assists to lead the way.Miami C Hassan Whiteside is averaging 19 points on 17-of-19 shooting, 12 rebounds and 2.5 blocks in the series. Batum was one of the keys to the Charlotte offense in the regular season while averaging career highs of 14.8 points and 5.8 assists and scored a team-high 24 points in Game 1 but will likely miss the rest of the series. His absence sets the Hornets back on offense and does not do much to boost the team defensively with Jeremy Lin likely to absorb some extra minutes. Heat are 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings in Charlotte.Hornets are 1-5 ATS in their last six games versus a team with a winning SU record. |
|||||||
04-22-16 | Hawks v. Celtics -153 | Top | 103-111 | Win | 100 | 8 h 58 m | Show |
Celtics (Money-Line – 150) If the Boston Celtics hope to stay in their first-round series for more than two more games, they are going to need to solve the Atlanta Hawks’ stifling defense. The Hawks will try to build a commanding 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven series behind that defense when they visit Boston on Friday. I’m looking for Boston to shoot the ball much better here at home and come with a full effort here tonight. Hawks are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall and are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 road games.Celtics are 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 home games vs. a team with a winning road record and 21-8 ATS in their last 29 games after scoring less than 75 points in their previous game. |
|||||||
04-22-16 | Cavs v. Pistons +5 | Top | 101-91 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 58 m | Show |
Pistons The Cleveland Cavaliers put on a spectacular shooting exhibition in Game 2 and attempt to take a 3-0 lead in the first-round series when they visit the Detroit Pistons on Friday. Cleveland drained 20 3-pointers in Wednesday's 107-90 victory over the Pistons. They will surely not shoot like that again tonight. Eighth-seeded Detroit has its back against the wall after the two road losses and faces a must-win situation in Game 3. The Pistons let a fourth-quarter lead get away in Game 1 and saw its hopes in Game 2 fade away with a 15-point third quarter. I’m looking for them to shoot better here at home. Detroit is playing a physical series with no interest in backing down and I give them at good shot at winning game 3 outright but I’ll take the points. Cavaliers are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a straight up win of more than 10 points.Pistons are 5-0-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS loss. |
|||||||
04-21-16 | Warriors v. Rockets OVER 214.5 | Top | 96-97 | Loss | -107 | 10 h 16 m | Show |
Warriors/Rockets Over The Golden State Warriors got some good news in regards to Stephen Curry’s health, but the team might not even need the superstar to get through the first round. The eighth-seeded Houston Rockets are down 0-2 and will try to get back into the series when they host Game 3 on Thursday. Curry is listed as questionable for Game 3 and Golden State knows how to play without its star if necessary. Even without him the Warriors have enough good shooters to score over 100 points tonight. Over is 25-11 in Warriors last 36 games following a ATS win.Over is 21-6 in Rockets last 27 games following a straight up loss.Over is 25-10 in Rockets last 35 vs. Western Conference. |
|||||||
04-21-16 | Raptors -115 v. Pacers | Top | 101-85 | Win | 100 | 8 h 10 m | Show |
Raptors Jonas Valanciunas has been Toronto's most reliable performer through the first two games of the series and the Raptors hope the 7-foot center has another strong effort in him when they visit the Indiana Pacers in Thursday's Game 3. Valanciunas averaged team-leading figures of 17.5 points and 17 rebounds as second-seeded Toronto split the first two games with seventh-seeded Indiana. Lowry is averaging 14 points on 7-of-26 shooting and DeRozan is averaging 12 points on 10-of-37 shooting as neither player has come close to his All-Star form in the series. I look for that to change tonight. George has been terrific but could certainly use some help from his teammates as shooting guard Monta Ellis (15 per game) is the only other Indiana player averaging in double digits in the series. Look for Toronto’s defense to play well again here in game 3. Raptors are 8-1 ATS in the last 9 meetings in Indiana. |
|||||||
04-20-16 | Pistons +10.5 v. Cavs | Top | 90-107 | Loss | -115 | 7 h 5 m | Show |
Pistons +10.5 The Detroit Pistons let an upset opportunity get away in the series opener and look to avoid a 0-2 hole when they visit the Cleveland Cavaliers in Wednesday's Game 2. Eighth-seeded Detroit held a seven-point lead with 11 minutes remaining in Game 1 before top-seeded Cleveland rallied and stymied the Pistons. I’ll look for the Piston to continue to hang tough with the Cavs so take the points. Cavaliers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 vs. Eastern Conference.Pistons are 9-2 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Cleveland and are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 vs. NBA Central. |
|||||||
04-20-16 | Hornets v. Heat -4.5 | Top | 103-115 | Win | 100 | 6 h 6 m | Show |
Heat – 4.5 The third-seeded Miami Heat versus the sixth-seeded Charlotte Hornets was supposed to be one of the tighter matchups of the first round of the NBA playoffs. The Heat breezed to a 32-point victory in Game 1 and will try to open up a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven set with another easy win when they host the Hornets in Game 2 on Wednesday.Miami’s clear advantage entering the series was experience, and Dwyane Wade, Luol Deng and Joe Johnson all have plenty of experience in the postseason, even if none of it came together. Charlotte was outrebounded 49-37 and outscored in the paint 56-36 but does not plan to move center Al Jefferson into the starting lineup. Hornets are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 Conference Quarterfinals games.Heat are 7-0 ATS in their last 7 home games. |
|||||||
04-20-16 | Hornets v. Heat OVER 198.5 | Top | 103-115 | Win | 100 | 6 h 6 m | Show |
Hornets/Heat Over 198.5 The Hornet lack of defense has led to six straight overs. Over is 6-0 in Hornets last 6 vs. Eastern Conference and is 9-0 in the last 9 meetings in Miami.Over is 11-5 in Heat last 16 after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game. While I don’t expect Miami to score over 120 points again tonight this game will go over the total. |
|||||||
04-19-16 | Celtics v. Hawks -6.5 | Top | 72-89 | Win | 100 | 7 h 10 m | Show |
Hawks The Atlanta Hawks squandered all of a 19-point lead in Game 1 but recovered late in the fourth quarter and managed to pull out a 102-101 victory. The fourth-seeded Hawks will try to make it two in a row on Tuesday over the fifth-seeded and visiting Boston Celtics, who will be without guard Avery Bradley due to a “significant” hamstring injury suffered late Saturday. This will affect the Celtic’s offensive flow. The absence of Bradley as a lockdown defender could open the floor even more for Atlanta guard Jeff Teague, who collected 23 points and 12 assists in the opener. Teague sealed the Game 1 win at the free-throw line and formed a potent pick-and-roll combination with center Al Horford. Celtics are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games playing on 2 days rest. Atlanta gets the job done with a win and cover here in game two. |
|||||||
04-18-16 | Pacers +7.5 v. Raptors | Top | 87-98 | Loss | -108 | 6 h 15 m | Show |
Pacers All-Star forward Paul George and the Indiana Pacers delivered the opening salvo and look to make it two consecutive road victories when they face the Toronto Raptors on Monday. George poured in 33 points in Saturday's 100-90 victory and Indiana attempts to continue the playoff woes of the Raptors. Second-seeded Toronto hasn't won a playoff series since 2001 and has dropped its last seven postseason games, which includes last season's four losses to the Washington Wizards. With the pressure on Toronto I will take the points with the Pacers. |
|||||||
04-17-16 | Pistons +11 v. Cavs | Top | 101-106 | Win | 100 | 45 h 1 m | Show |
Pistons + 11 PistonsCoach Stan Van Gundy's team has confidence based on winning three of four matchups with the Cavs. Van Gundy is very familiar with defending LeBron James, as his 2008-09 Orlando Magic defeated the top-seeded Cavs in the Eastern Conference finals. Of course, don't read anything into Detroit's 112-110 win over Cleveland on the regular season's final day. Cleveland rested James, Kevin Love, Kyrie Irving and J.R. Smith. Back the points here with Detroit in game one. |
|||||||
04-16-16 | Rockets v. Warriors -13 | Top | 78-104 | Win | 100 | 22 h 32 m | Show |
Warrior – 13 The Rockets are lucky to even be in the playoffs as they are a very up and down team. The Warriors are the clean cut favorite to win the title and I see them coming out in game one and making a big statement. While the number maybe inflated a couple of points I’m will to lay it with Curry and company here in game one. |
|||||||
04-16-16 | Pacers v. Raptors -6.5 | Top | 100-90 | Loss | -102 | 18 h 27 m | Show |
Raptors – 6.5 Indiana managed a successful, winning season in spite of its not so talented roster. The Pacers are under .500 this season on the road while the Raptors were 32-9 at home. Toronto has been a few steps ahead throughout the year and plays with more consistency. Toronto is a tough place to play and the Pacers will be in for a long game one. Lay the number with Toronto at home. |
|||||||
04-13-16 | Spurs v. Mavs -4.5 | Top | 96-91 | Loss | -107 | 6 h 60 m | Show |
Mavs The fast-charging Dallas Mavericks have clinched a playoff spot and will try to improve their seeding Wednesday when they host the San Antonio Spurs. Dallas has won seven of its last eight games and might avoid a first-round series with San Antonio if it can beat the Spurs in the season finale.The Mavericks, who have made the playoffs in 15 of the past 16 seasons, are tied for sixth place in the Western Conference after Memphis lost Tuesday and can finish as high as fifth depending on what happens on the final night of the season. San Antonio halted a season-worst three-game losing skid by posting a 102-98 overtime victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday. Expect the Spurs to be resting multiple players with nothing on the line tonight. Spurs are 1-10 ATS in their last 11 after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game.Mavericks are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall. |
|||||||
04-13-16 | Heat v. Celtics -180 | Top | 88-98 | Win | 100 | 6 h 50 m | Show |
Celtics (Money line – 180) The Boston Celtics have been a dominant team at TD Garden the last few months and can go a long way toward sealing home-court advantage in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs when they host the rival Miami Heat on Wednesday. The Celtics are 18-3 over their last 21 games at home, but must rebound from one of those losses after a damaging 114-100 defeat against Charlotte on Monday. Boston will not gain the third seed in the East after the loss, but can fall into any of the next three spots after Wednesday’s games. The only way the Celtics can be fifth with a victory is if the four teams battling end up with identical records and guard Avery Bradley told reporters, “We still have a chance to be where we want to be. We just have to focus on the next game.” Miami grabs the third seed in the conference and takes the Southeast Division title with a victory Wednesday, following a 99-93 triumph at Detroit on Tuesday. The Celtics have won both meetings this season by double figures, including a 101-89 triumph at home on Feb. 27.Heat are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games playing on 0 days rest and are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games.Heat are 4-14 ATS in the last 18 meetings in Boston. |

Barea has fueled a five-game winning with his torrid play and the Dallas Mavericks look to move closer to clinching a playoff spot when they host the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday. Barea has scored 20 or more points in four consecutive games for the first time in his 10-year NBA career and he is averaging 24.2 points during the five-game stretch.Barea was elevated to the starting role due to an injury to point guard Deron Williams (sports hernia) and he has helped Dallas move into seventh place in the Western Conference playoff race with just four games remaining. The Mavericks are also excelling on defense and have held each opponent under 90 points while allowing an average of 86 points during the five-game winning streak. Memphis has been ravaged by injuries and ended a six-game losing streak by beating the Chicago Bulls 108-92 on Tuesday to remain in a virtual tie for fifth place with the Portland Trail Blazers. Heat The Miami Heat look to continue dominating the Sunshine State series when they visit the Orlando Magic on Friday in the first of a home-and-home. The Heat, who are in a four-way battle for third place in the Eastern Conference, have won four straight against Orlando – two this season by an average of nine points – and 14 of the last 15 encounters. The Magic have knocked off three teams who are in the fight for a playoff spot in the last few weeks, but coughed up a lead in the second half to drop a 108-104 decision against Detroit on Wednesday. Miami has won seven of its last 10 after a 106-98 triumph at home against Chicago on Thursday and is in a virtual tie with Boston for fourth place in the East – one game behind third-place Atlanta. 04-07-16 | Spurs v. Warriors -7 | Top | 101-112 | Win | 100 | 10 h 6 m | Show |
Warriors If the Golden State Warriors want to break Chicago's single-season wins record of 72, they must win their final four games starting with Thursday night's showdown at home against San Antonio. The bigger priority down the stretch is securing the top seed in the Western Conference, which can be done with a combination of two Warriors wins or Spurs losses, and getting their game back in top form for the start of the postseason next week. The Warriors plan to go all out Thursday when they can clinch home-court advantage throughout the playoffs with a victory. This game is not as important for the Spurs. Spurs are 2-12 ATS in their last 14 games following a straight up win.Warriors are 25-10-1 ATS in their last 36 home games vs. a team with a winning road record and are 8-0 ATS in their last 8 Thursday games. |

04-06-16 | Hornets -5 v. Knicks | Top | 111-97 | Win | 100 | 6 h 0 m | Show |
Hornets The New York Knicks made a strong effort at playing spoiler on Sunday only to fall just short in a 92-87 loss to the Indiana Pacers. The Knicks will get another chance to throw a wrench into the Eastern Conference postseason seedings when they host the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday. Sunday starters Carmelo Anthony (rest), Kristaps Porzingis (shoulder) and Jose Calderon (knee) all sat out. Porzingis, who has missed the last three games and maybe done for the season. The Hornets are hoping to turn their fortunes around and avoid a sweep on a three-game road trip after coming up short against the top two teams in the East – Cleveland and Toronto. The consecutive losses dropped Charlotte into sixth place in the East, one game behind Miami and Boston for fourth and 1 1/2 back of third-place Atlanta. Look for the Hornets to be hungry tonight in this spot. Pacers The Cleveland Cavaliers can clinch at least a tie for the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference when they visit the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday. Cleveland has won four straight games and holds a 3 1/2-game lead over the second-place Toronto Raptors with four games remaining so I don’t see any urgency for the Cavs tonight. Indiana, which has won its past two games, resides in seventh place in the East and is 2 1/2 games clear of the ninth-place Chicago Bulls. The Pacers are a half-game ahead of the eighth-place Detroit Pistons and would like to avoid facing the Cavaliers in the first round of the playoffs. Cavaliers are 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 vs. NBA Central. Cavaliers are 0-4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings in Indiana. Pacers are 14-3 ATS in their last 17 games playing on 2 days rest and are 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 vs. NBA Central. |

Jazz Utah has won 10 of its last 13 games and is tied with the Dallas Mavericks for the final two playoff spots with the Houston Rockets lurking one game behind. The Jazz have a pivotal home game against Dallas on April 11 that could prove to be a huge factor in the race. San Antonio has won 11 of its past 13 games and is fine-tuning the rotation as its opens a three-game road trip. Power forward Derrick Favors returned from a one-game absence due to a knee injury to produce 17 points on 8-of-11 shooting in Sunday's 101-86 victory over the Phoenix Suns. Utah was pleased that Favors' absence was short-lived as he has emerged as a consistent force and has scored in double digits in 32 of the past 33 games. Favors is 15-of-22 shooting over his last two games to raise his season average to 51.6 percent. Spurs are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up win.Jazz are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 home games vs. a team with a winning road record and are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games.Home team is 34-16-1 ATS in the last 51 meetings. |

Heat/Kings Over The Miami Heat are locked in a four-team battle for the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference and attempt to bounce back from a demoralizing defeat when they visit the Sacramento Kings on Friday. Miami suffered a 102-100 overtime loss to the lowly Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday in the opener of a three-game road trip that concludes in Portland on Saturday. Sacramento has reached 30 victories for the first time since the 2007-08 campaign after knocking off the Washington Wizards 120-111 on Wednesday. Keep in mind the Kings sport the worst defense in the NBA. The Heat have won the past three meetings, including a 116-109 home win over the Kings on Nov. 19. Over is 7-0 in Kings last 7 vs. a team with a winning straight up record.Over is 7-1 in Heat last 8 vs. a team with a losing straight up record and is 6-1 in Heat last 7 road games.Over is 8-1 in the last 9 meetings. |

04-01-16 | Magic v. Bucks -2 | Top | 110-113 | Win | 100 | 7 h 43 m | Show |
Bucks The Milwaukee Bucks have been a major disappointment after making the playoffs in 2014-15, but most of their troubles have occurred on the road. The Bucks, who snapped a five-game losing streak last time out, look to improve on a respectable 22-15 mark at home when they host the Orlando Magic on Friday in a battle of teams eliminated from the playoff chase. Orlando is just 12-26 on the road, For the Bucks Middleton rebounded from a three-game stretch in which he averaged just 10.7 points – 7.5 below his average – last time out and Jabari Parker is scoring 18.3 per contest over the last three outings. Not a good spot here for the Magic playing back-to-back games on the road. Bucks are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a losing straight up record and are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 vs. NBA Southeast. |

04-01-16 | Mavs v. Pistons -5.5 | Top | 98-89 | Loss | -103 | 6 h 13 m | Show |
Pistons Two teams fighting for position at the bottom of their respective conference’s playoff brackets square off when the Dallas Mavericks visit the Detroit Pistons on Friday. The Pistons are looking more and more like a team that has earned its spot and will go for their seventh win in eight games against the Mavericks.Detroit jumped into seventh place in the East with an 88-82 home win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday and goes into play on Thursday 2 1/2 games ahead of ninth-place Chicago. The Mavericks have dropped 10 of their last 14 games and needed to mount a late comeback to overcome the lowly New York Knicks on Wednesday.Mavericks F Dirk Nowitzki is 15-of-55 from the floor in the last three games. Detroit has seven games left in the regular season and embarks on a three-game road trip following Friday’s contest so I expect a full effort here. Pistons are 16-5-1 ATS in their last 22 home games vs. a team with a losing road record. |

03-31-16 | Celtics v. Blazers -3.5 | Top | 109-116 | Win | 100 | 10 h 30 m | Show |
Blazers – 3.5 Boston can move into a virtual tie with the fourth-place Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference with a victory but a loss will prompt a drop behind the Charlotte Hornets into sixth place. The Celtics are 1-1 on a five-game West Coast swing after being routed 114-90 by the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday. Portland is in a tight race in the Western Conference and has a slight chance of chasing down the fifth-place Memphis Grizzlies, but a slump could lead to the Trail Blazers falling out of the race as ninth-place Dallas remains in close proximity. Trail Blazers are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games playing on 2 days rest and has won five straight home games and 14 of its last 16.Celtics are 2-12 ATS in their last 14 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. |

Rockets – 6.5 The Chicago Bulls kept their diminishing Eastern Conference playoff hopes alive with a tight victory on Tuesday but are still on the outside looking in. The Houston Rockets, who host the Bulls on Thursday, can relate to that plight as they struggle to hang with the pack in the battle for eighth place in the West. The Rockets overcame a 19-point halftime deficit and dominated the fourth quarter en route to a 106-100 win at Cleveland on Tuesday and will head into play on Wednesday a half-game in front of the Dallas Mavericks for the No. 8 spot in the West. The Raptors were trounced 119-100 at home by the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday and have dropped three of their last four with All-Star point guard Kyle Lowry ailing. Lowry had his inflamed right elbow drained after Monday’s loss and is shooting 26.2 percent from the field in his last four games. The Hawks are one game ahead of the fourth-place Miami Heat and 1 1/2 up on the fifth-place Boston Celtics after knocking off the Chicago Bulls 102-100 on Monday to pick up their 14th win in the last 17 games. Hawks are 10-2 ATS in their last 12 after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game and are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 road games.Raptors are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 1 days rest. |

The Cavaliers, who visit the Nets on the second night of a back-to-back on Thursday, are trying to balance holding off the Toronto Raptors for the top spot in the Eastern Conference with getting their stars some rest before the playoffs. Cleveland (51-20) will look to build upon last night's 113-104 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks at The Q.After dishing out 38 assists in Monday night’s win over the Denver Nuggets, the Cavaliers dished out 29 more against Milwaukee – moving the ball beautifully and holding off a stubborn Bucks team. The Cavs aims to duplicate last night's all-around team performance against a Nets squad they have beat six of the last seven games, including the last three at the Barclays Center. The Magic fell to the Charlotte Hornets, Cleveland Cavaliers, Toronto Raptors and Boston Celtics in their last four games – all teams likely headed to the playoffs out of the East. Detroit is getting a big lift from forward Tobias Harris, who arrived in a trade from the Magic before the deadline. The 23-year-old is averaging 16.6 points on 48.4 percent shooting – up from 13.7 points on 46.4 percent shooting in 49 games for Orlando - and is fully on board with his new team’s drive toward the playoffs. 03-17-16 | Hornets v. Heat -4.5 | Top | 109-106 | Loss | -103 | 7 h 31 m | Show |
Heat The jumbled Eastern Conference playoff race takes front and center Thursday when the Charlotte Hornets visit the Miami Heat in a matchup of teams that have been climbing the ladder of late. The Heat gained sole possession of third place in the East by virtue of Boston's loss Wednesday and has won four in a row at home. The sixth-place Hornets kept pace with a 107-99 triumph over Orlando on Wednesday, pulling a game behind Miami and a half-game behind Boston while even with Atlanta. That capped a 6-1 homestand for Charlotte, which begins a stretch in which it plays 10 of 14 on the road in a place that it has dropped 12 in a row. There were 26 lead changes the last time these teams met, when Dwyane Wade scored 22 points to help the Heat steal a 98-95 victory on the road. 03-12-16 | Rockets v. Hornets -4.5 | Top | 109-125 | Win | 100 | 7 h 43 m | Show |
Hornets The Houston Rockets did the Charlotte Hornets a favor on Friday, but neither team figures to be in a giving mood on Saturday. The Hornets will try to earn their seventh straight win and continue to climb the standings in the Eastern Conference when they host the Rockets. Houston knocked off the Boston Celtics 102-98 on Friday while Charlotte was cruising past the Detroit Pistons. That combination of events pulled the fifth-place Hornets within two games of the third-place Celtics in the East. Charlotte has been leaning heavily on Kemba Walker to do its scoring during the winning streak but got more balance in Friday’s win as seven players scored in double figures and Marvin Williams buried five 3-pointers en route to a team-high 22 points. Rockets are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games playing on 0 days rest.Hornets are 7-0 ATS in their last 7 games following a straight up win of more than 10 points.Home team is 6-1-1 ATS in the last 8 meetings. |

03-11-16 | Rockets v. Celtics -6 | Top | 102-98 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 31 m | Show |
Celtics – 6 The Boston Celtics are doing things at home that haven't been seen since the days of Larry Bird, Kevin McHale and Robert Parish. They will try to extend their longest home winning streak since the original Big 3 ruled the town when they host the Houston Rockets on Friday at TD Garden.Wednesday's 116-96 rout of the Memphis Grizzlies was the 14th consecutive home triumph for the Celtics - the franchise's longest since the 1990-91 squad reeled off 18 in a row - and it gave the team a 1 1/2-game lead on Miami for third place in the Eastern Conference. James Harden is averaging 15 points on 25.8 percent shooting in his last two contests with the Celtics, including Boston's 111-95 win in Houston earlier this season. The Celtics have three days off after this one before beginning a stretch in which they play eight of 11 on the road.Look for them to have full focus tonight. Rockets are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games playing on 1 days rest.Celtics are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 home games. |

03-09-16 | Pistons +2 v. Mavs | Top | 102-96 | Win | 100 | 8 h 18 m | Show |
Pistons The Dallas Mavericks are fading in the wrong direction and attempt to end a three-game losing streak when they host the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday. Dallas has slipped into a tie for sixth place with Portland in the Western Conference and was dominated in the second half of Monday's 109-90 home loss against the Los Angeles Clippers. The Pistons played superbly in a 123-103 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday and hope to build on the win when they open a four-game road trip in Dallas. Pistons are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall.Mavericks are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record. |
|||||||
03-09-16 | Heat -3.5 v. Bucks | Top | 108-114 | Loss | -103 | 8 h 47 m | Show |
Heat The Miami Heat are not only hanging on in the Eastern Conference without Chris Bosh but are moving up the standings. The Heat will try to keep the pressure on the Boston Celtics for the No. 3 spot in the East when they visit the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday.The relatively easy slate of late has allowed the Heat to work Joe Johnson into the lineup seamlessly, and the veteran guard is averaging 14 points on 60.4 percent shooting in the last five contests. Johnson and Miami guard Dwyane Wade will have to put in some extra work on the wings defensively on Wednesday against Milwaukee forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, who has been handling point guard duties of late. Heat are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games following a straight up win and are 11-2 ATS in their last 13 vs. Eastern Conference.Bucks are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game. |

03-05-16 | Kings v. Spurs -13 | Top | 94-104 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 42 m | Show |
Spurs - 13 The San Antonio Spurs will try to run their home record to an even 30-0 when they host the Sacramento Kings on Saturday. The historic success of the Golden State Warriors has allowed the Spurs to stay under the radar a bit, but their latest winning streak is at seven straight and they sit only 3 1/2 games behind the Warriors in the Western Conference standings.San Antonio has played at home only once since Feb. 6 and rolled past the Detroit Pistons 97-81 on Wednesday in that return to their building. The Kings have lost in their last six trips to San Antonio but snapped a four-game slide by ending a lengthy drought in Dallas with a 104-101 win on Thursday.The Kings weren’t as strong on the defensive end on Feb. 24 at home against San Antonio, when they let the Spurs shoot 51.8 percent from the field in a 108-92 loss. San Antonio has taken five straight in the series and won the first two this season by an average of 17 points. |
|||||||
03-05-16 | Pistons -5.5 v. Knicks | Top | 89-102 | Loss | -103 | 7 h 13 m | Show |
Pistons – 5.5 The Detroit Pistons start an important stretch of five games in eight days – four on the road – when they visit the struggling New York Knicks on Saturday night. The Pistons had won four straight before dropping a 97-81 decision against the high-powered San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday and hold down the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. The Pistons would like another shooting performance like Feb. 4 when they beat the Knicks 111-105 while making 50.6 percent from the field, including 9-of-17 from behind the 3-point arc. New York coughed up an eight-point lead in the final four minutes to drop a 105-104 decision at Boston on Friday – its 16th defeat in the last 19 contests. Pistons are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 vs. Eastern Conference.Knicks are 1-8 ATS in their last 9 home games. |
|||||||
03-04-16 | Knicks v. Celtics -9.5 | Top | 104-105 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 29 m | Show |
Celtics The Boston Celtics seek their 13th straight home win when they finish a five-game stay at TD Garden with a Friday night matchup against the reeling New York Knicks. Perhaps the most impressive of the 12 consecutive wins in Boston was Wednesday's 116-93 rout of the Portland Trail Blazers, who had won 14 of their previous 16 games.Isaiah Thomas scored 30 points and five others hit double figures as the Celtics stayed within 4 1/2 games of second-place Toronto in the Eastern Conference and pulled to 6 1/2 games behind East-leading Cleveland. While Boston looks stronger by the day, New York is in a tailspin with 15 losses in 18 games. There seems to be a daily drama surrounding star forward Carmelo Anthony, who had 23 points and 10 rebounds in a 19-point home loss to Portland the last time out and punctuated the night by telling a frustrated fan to ask owner James Dolan for his money back. Knicks are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record.Celtics are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 home games. |
|||||||
03-04-16 | Blazers v. Raptors -6 | Top | 115-117 | Loss | -108 | 7 h 28 m | Show |
Raptors The Portland Trail Blazers’ express train came to a screeching halt in Boston on Wednesday, but the Western Conference playoff hopefuls will get another chance to prove they can tangle with the East’s elite. The Trail Blazers will try to bounce back from a rare loss when they visit the second-place Toronto Raptors on Friday. Portland now gets to face one of the other two teams to knock them off in the last 17 games in the Raptors, who took a 110-103 decision at the Trail Blazers on Feb. 4 behind 30 points from Kyle Lowry. Toronto’s All-Star point guard scored 32 points on Wednesday as the Raptors cruised past Utah 104-94 to earn their 11th consecutive home victory. This is Portland’s fifth road game in seven days. Trail Blazers are 8-20-1 ATS in their last 29 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600.Raptors are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 home games. |

03-04-16 | Pacers v. Hornets -3 | Top | 101-108 | Win | 100 | 7 h 43 m | Show |
Hornets The battle for sixth place in the Eastern Conference takes center stage on Friday, when the Charlotte Hornets face the Indiana Pacers. The Hornets are a half-game clear of the Pacers for the No. 6 spot in a tightly-packed Eastern Conference.Charlotte has won eight of its last 10 games to move from outside the top eight into the No. 6 slot and could end Friday in fifth with a win and a loss by the Atlanta Hawks. Indiana nearly squandered a 19-point, third-quarter lead at Milwaukee before Solomon Hill finally iced the game at the free-throw line. The Pacers have struggled closing teams out since the All-Star break, including a 96-95 home loss to Charlotte on Feb. 26, and are scheduled to play eight straight games against teams without losing records starting on Friday. Kemba Walker played the hero with the go-ahead bucket at Indiana last week and continues to carry the offense for Charlotte with a combined 56 points in wins over Phoenix and Philadelphia in the last two games.Charlotte took each of the first two meetings this season – both on the road. Pacers are 1-6-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a straight up win.Hornets are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games following a straight up win of more than 10 points.Pacers are 1-6-1 ATS in the last 8 meetings. |

03-03-16 | Thunder +8 v. Warriors | Top | 106-121 | Loss | -115 | 11 h 16 m | Show |
Thunder Golden State and Oklahoma City engaged in the most thrilling contest of the season when they squared off Saturday and the two teams look to participate in another memorable contest when the Warriors host the Thunder on Thursday. Golden State guard Stephen Curry scored 46 points and tied the NBA record with 12 3-pointers Saturday and his final one was a 32-footer with 0.6 seconds left to give the Warriors a 121-118 overtime victory. Curry (ankle) is questionable for the rematch because of an injury he suffered against the Thunder and the ailment forced him to sit out Tuesday's 109-105 overtime victory over the Atlanta Hawks. Golden State swingman Andre Iguodala (hamstring) could miss his second straight game. I’m backing the points with the Thunder in this revenge match that will be a close game at the buzzer. |

03-02-16 | Wizards -3 v. Wolves | Top | 104-98 | Win | 100 | 8 h 23 m | Show |
Wizards – 3 The Washington Wizards are taking advantage of their recent schedule in an effort to get back into the postseason race in the Eastern Conference. The Wizards will try to grab another win at the expense of a sub-.500 opponent when they visit the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday.Washington PG John Wall is averaging 29 points on 21-of-37 from the field in the last two games. The Timberwolves aren’t facing any sort of postseason pressure but do seem to be growing behind a host of talented young players. Minnesota’s youth guided it to a win at New Orleans on Saturday but could not find the energy to make it back-to-back victories and fell 128-101 at Dallas on Sunday. Wizards are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a ATS loss.Timberwolves are 7-20 ATS in their last 27 games vs. a team with a losing straight up record. |

03-02-16 | Blazers v. Celtics -5.5 | Top | 93-116 | Win | 100 | 8 h 52 m | Show |
Celtics – 5.5 The Boston Celtics stayed afloat early in the season by thriving on the road, but they've turned themselves into contenders in the Eastern Conference on the strength of a dominant stretch at home. The Celtics look to keep alive their string of success at TD Garden when they host the red-hot Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday.Boston has won 11 in a row at home - its longest run in three years - and the streak has featured several gritty efforts, much like the one that resulted in a 100-95 triumph over Utah on Monday. The streak will be tested by the Blazers, whose 104-85 rout in New York on Tuesday was their third straight to begin a six-game trip. The Celtics have limited the last two opponents to an average of 92.5 and a combined field-goal percentage of 39.4. Crowder is averaging 20.8 points on 57.7 percent shooting over the course of a four-game hot stretch. Trail Blazers are 4-13-1 ATS in their last 18 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600.Celtics are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record. |

03-02-16 | Bulls v. Magic -3.5 | Top | 89-102 | Win | 100 | 7 h 22 m | Show |
Magic – 3.5 The Chicago Bulls have fallen out of playoff position after three straight losses and look to begin their turnaround when they visit the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night. The Bulls, who have been one of the best defensive teams in the league in past seasons, have allowed 100 or more points in 14 consecutive games after a 129-111 loss at Miami on Tuesday.The Bulls have not been able to compensate for the loss of injured All-Star Jimmy Butler (knee) and Nikola Mirotic (appendix) while Derrick Rose (hamstring) returned from a three-game absence to score 17 on Tuesday. Nikola Vucevic has been the most consistent force for the Magic, averaging 21.4 points in February and scoring 18 in the loss at Dallas. Victor Oladipo made just 3-of-10 from the field Tuesday while newly acquired forward Ersan Ilyasova had 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for his best performance since being obtained at the trade deadline. Bulls are 6-21 ATS in their last 27 vs. NBA Southeast and are 3-11 ATS in their last 14 after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game.Magic are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up loss.Bulls are 0-5 ATS in the last 5 meetings. |
|||||||
03-01-16 | Bulls v. Heat -5.5 | Top | 111-129 | Win | 100 | 7 h 14 m | Show |
Heat The depleted Chicago Bulls are trying to hang around in the top eight of the Eastern Conference but will get no sympathy from the Miami Heat, who are dealing with some injury issues of their own. The teams will try to throw enough healthy bodies on the floor to make it competitive when the Bulls visit the Heat on Tuesday. Chicago pulled together behind some of the reserves and managed three straight wins before the attrition got to the team in back-to-back losses. Miami is still missing All-Star forward Chris Bosh (calf) but had more luck than Chicago on the buyout market when Joe Johnson chose the Heat among a host of suitors. Johnson made his team debut on Sunday and contributed 12 points in 30 minutes to a 98-81 victory over the Knicks. Heat C Hassan Whiteside is averaging 18.8 points and 16 rebounds in the last five games.Bulls are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games.Heat are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 vs. Eastern Conference. |

03-01-16 | Blazers -5.5 v. Knicks | Top | 104-85 | Win | 100 | 7 h 13 m | Show |
Blazers Damian Lillard is hotter than lava and the Portland Trail Blazers are scorching opponents as they enter Tuesday's contest against the lowly New York Knicks. Lillard has scored 30 or more points in seven of the past eight games and Portland has won 17 of its last 21.The Trail Blazers have won seven of their last eight on the road after starting out with a 6-15 mark in away games. Portland's dash has allowed it to move into a tie for sixth place in the Western Conference with the Dallas Mavericks. New York has been operating in a frigid manner with 14 defeats in 17 games and has slipped 6 1/2 games out in the hunt for the final Eastern Conference playoff spot. Trail Blazers are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game.Knicks are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 home games and are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record. |

02-26-16 | Clippers -2.5 v. Kings | Top | 117-107 | Win | 100 | 11 h 40 m | Show |
Clippers The Los Angeles Clippers are coming off a dreadful performance and look to bounce back strongly when they visit the Sacramento Kings on Friday. Los Angeles hoisted a franchise record 46 3-point shots against Denver on Wednesday but made just 13 while suffering an 87-81 defeat to a team that allowed an average of 117 points over its previous three games. I’m looking for them to bounce back in a big way tonight. Sacramento aims to make a run at a Western Conference playoff spot and had won three straight games before being outclassed 108-92 by the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday. The Clippers have emerged victorious in six consecutive visits to Sacramento.Clippers are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games following a straight up loss and are 12-3-2 ATS in their last 17 games following a ATS loss.Kings are 3-10 ATS in their last 13 games overall. |

02-25-16 | Rockets v. Blazers -3.5 | Top | 119-105 | Loss | -103 | 10 h 2 m | Show |
Blazers The Portland Trail Blazers are no longer thinking about just making the playoffs, but about earning a higher seed. The Trail Blazers are winners of six straight and 15 of their last 18 and will try to disappoint another team chasing them in the standings when they host the Houston Rockets on Thursday. Portland came out of the All-Star break in a three-team race for the last two spots in the Western Conference with Houston and Utah but has continued its surge to put those team in the rear-view mirror. The dynamic backcourt duo of Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum have each gone over 30 points in the last two games after Lillard responded to his All-Star snub by dropping 51 points on the Golden State Warriors on Friday. The Rockets had a chance to claim eighth place in the West on Tuesday but could not find a way around Utah in a 117-114 overtime loss. Houston has dropped seven of its last 10 games, including a pair of losses to the Trail Blazers by an average of 15 points.Portland has taken four of the last five in the series. Rockets are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS win.Trail Blazers are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss. |

Jazz Utah currently possesses the eighth and final playoff berth in the Western Conference and coach Quin Snyder is seeing progress, especially after his club survived a night of miscues to produce a 117-114 overtime victory over the Houston Rockets on Tuesday. The Jazz have won their past two home games against the Spurs. The Spurs are winding down their long rodeo trip playing their fifth road game in eight nights. Take the Jazz at home plus the points. |
|||||||
02-25-16 | Bucks v. Celtics -7.5 | Top | 107-112 | Loss | -107 | 7 h 57 m | Show |
Celtics The Boston Celtics were not pleased with their defensive effort during a 1-2 road trip but will have plenty of time at the team practice facility to iron out those issues over the next three weeks. The Celtics begin a five-game homestand and a stretch of seven of eighth in their own building by hosting the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday.Modest expectations at the beginning of the season were elevated when Boston went into the All-Star break in third place in the Eastern Conference, and securing a high seed is now one of the goals.Boston will play 14 of its final 24 games at home, where it has won eight straight. Milwaukee is another team trying to figure things out on the defensive end but did enough offensively behind forward Giannis Antetokounmpo’s triple-double on Monday to knock off the Los Angeles Lakers 108-101. Bucks are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up win.Celtics are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss and are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 home games vs. a team with a losing road record. |
|||||||
02-24-16 | Wolves v. Raptors -9.5 | Top | 105-114 | Loss | -101 | 8 h 43 m | Show |
Raptors The Toronto Raptors remain the biggest threat to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference and showed off with a dominating performance on Monday in a 122-95 win over the New York Knicks. The Raptors will shoot for their 20th home victory when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday. Toronto is three games behind Cleveland for the East lead and will play nine of its next 10 games at home, including a showdown against the Cavaliers on Friday. The Timberwolves kick off a stretch with nine of 11 games on the road. Toronto had taken eight straight in the series before falling at Minnesota on Feb. 10.Timberwolves are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games following a straight up win and are 2-9 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Toronto. |

02-24-16 | Hornets +8 v. Cavs | Top | 103-114 | Loss | -102 | 7 h 12 m | Show |
Hornets The Cleveland Cavaliers put together one of the best games of their season on Sunday and followed it up with one of the worst the next night. The Cavaliers will try to find some consistency in their top gear when they host the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday. The Hornets are one of the few teams to beat Cleveland of late, earning a 106-97 home win on Feb. 3, and are winners of five straight. Charlotte began a six-game road trip before the All-Star break and has won the first three to pull three games over .500. Hornets are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games and are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record.Cavaliers are 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10 games following a straight up loss.Hornets are 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings. |

02-23-16 | Nets v. Blazers -11.5 | Top | 104-112 | Loss | -102 | 11 h 56 m | Show |
Blazers The Brooklyn Nets are just 4-19 on the road as they begin a season-long nine-game excursion against the red-hot Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday. The Barclays Center is unavailable due to a circus and the Atlantic 10 basketball tournament, and Brooklyn doesn't play in its home building again until March 13. The lowly Nets don't get an easy start to the trip by visiting Portland, which has won 14 of its past 17 games. Lillard is averaging 36.3 points over the last four games and is the first Portland player since Hall of Famer Clyde Drexler (1991) to score 30 or more points in four consecutive games. The backcourt pairing of Lillard (25 points per game) and C.J. McCollum (20.9) has ignited the Trail Blazers' rise and both players reached 30 points in the win over the Jazz. The Nets are 6-34 all-time when playing in Portland.Nets are 5-11-1 ATS in their last 17 games playing on 1 days rest and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record.Trail Blazers are 10-2 ATS in their last 12 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400. |

02-23-16 | Rockets v. Jazz -5 | Top | 114-117 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 56 m | Show |
Jazz The Houston Rockets and Utah Jazz are part of a three-team race for the final two playoff spots in the Western Conference and the two squads square off in a crucial contest on Tuesday in Salt Lake City. Houston holds a half-game lead over the Jazz for the final playoff spot and has already won the first two games of this season's four meetings. This is a big revenge spot for the Jazz. Houston has been underachieving most of the season and the players have been talking about forging a strong final third of the season. The Rockets began that task by beating the lowly Phoenix Suns 116-100 on Friday for only their third victory in nine games. Rockets are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games playing on 3 or more days rest and are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games following a ATS win. Jazz are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 home games.Home team is 5-0 ATS in the last 5 meetings. |

02-22-16 | Celtics -4.5 v. Wolves | Top | 122-124 | Loss | -108 | 8 h 9 m | Show |
Celtics The Boston Celtics are eyeing a home-heavy portion of the schedule, but first must wrap up a three-game road trip at Minnesota on Monday. The Celtics have split the first two games of the trek, losing by 18 in Utah before winning by 20 in Denver on Sunday, riding 22 points and 12 assists from Isaiah Thomas to improve to 16-14 on the road. Following the visit to Minneapolis, Boston plays five straight games and seven of its next eight at home, where it has won eight straight. The Celtics have another streak on the line Monday, as they have won five consecutive contests that fell on the second half of a back-to-back. Boston is 10-3 overall in the second half of back-to-backs. The Timberwolves offered little resistance in a 113-99 loss at Boston earlier this season. Celtics are 7-0 ATS in their last 7 road games vs. a team with a losing home record.Timberwolves are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 vs. NBA Atlantic.

Nuggets The next 10 games will likely decide whether or not the Sacramento Kings remain in or fall out of the Western Conference playoff race. Sacramento begins the crucial stretch with consecutive games against Denver - beginning with Friday's home contest - and follows up with home games against the San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Clippers and Oklahoma City Thunder. That’s a tough slate. Denver has won three of its past four games and is on the fringe of the playoff chase. The Cavaliers are not without questions of their own despite sitting atop the East and are reportedly one of the teams actively involved in trade discussions leading up to Thursday afternoon’s deadline.
