11-20-21 | UMass v. Army -35.5 | Top | 17-33 | Loss | -111 | 11 h 11 m | Show |
DMACK's COLLEGE FOOTBALL CAN OF WHUP ASS is on the Army Cadets Army is going to win but by how much ??? The Cadets are off a 63-10 win (-51) over Bucknell and have shown no compunction about crushing bottom feeders in the past. UMass has lost four straight SU and ATS and the Minutemen are giving up 224 per on the ground at a whopping 5.7 per carry. That's not a recipe for success against Army who will want to send their seniors off in style as they play their final game at West Point. |
09-19-21 | Chiefs -3.5 v. Ravens | Top | 35-36 | Loss | -107 | 41 h 20 m | Show |
DMack's Chiefs/Ravens SNF bailout is on the Kansas City Chiefs Lamar Jackson will start as a home dog for the first time in his NFL career. It's a short week for the Ravens who were beaten by the Raiders in OT on Monday night. The most disturbing part of that game was the Vegas' Derek Carr threw for 423 yards. The Ravens are 7-0-1 L8 as a single digit dog and 4-1 the L5 years as a home dog, again ... the loss wasn't a game that Jackson started. The Chiefs were fortunate to escape with a win last week after getting manhandled on both sides of the ball up front. They'll be looking to clean things up here and have had pretty much things their own way of late with Baltimore winning the last four meetings and averaging better than 32 ppg. in those games. At the end of the day, it comes down to this. Baltimore is ravaged by injuries and Jackson simply doesn't have the help or weapons to it himself. Mahomes has a full compliment of people and the Chief defense just has to be better with a game under it's belt. Kansas City by 14. |
09-19-21 | Vikings v. Cardinals -3.5 | Top | 33-34 | Loss | -105 | 86 h 53 m | Show |
DMack's Week II NFL Game of the Week winner in on the Arizona Cardinals The Vikings OT loss to Cincinnati in the Minnesota opener was extremely misleading as the Bengals had things in hand most of the way. The Vikes look to be in big trouble. Despite a ton of talent on the roster, there seems to be a lot of internal issues and divisiveness in the locker room, much of it revolving around QB Kirk Cousins. Arizona was lights out in blowing out a pretty good Tennessee team on the road. Cards major improvement has been on defense. Chandler Jones had a highlight reel game and the Arizona defense handled Derrick Henry rather easily. Kyler Murray is doing his thing and has so many weapons at this point, the Arizona offense is going to be a handful week in and week out. Would have loved to have the -2.5 opener, it was gone in a heartbeat from sharp and square money alike. Old adage says you were never as good or bad as your last game. The Arizona Cardinals are sneaky good! Cards by 10. |
08-29-21 | Patriots -3 v. Giants | Top | 22-20 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 54 m | Show |
DMack's NFLX Super Play is on the Pats The Patriot's quarterback job will go right down the wire. Look for Cam Newton and Mac Jones to move the ball and the offense to play with intensity the entire 60 minutes. The Giants have little to play for here. Most jobs are etched in stone and the starters will get get their first action here and play a series or two. The Pat defense will mostly rest but remember that this stop unit is as deep as any in the league. Daniel Jones starts, Mike Glennon is the backup, and the leaves Brian Lewerke and the other backups to deal with a dialed in Pat outfit for the final half/three quarters. New England 26-10. |
08-27-21 | Eagles v. Jets -4 | Top | 31-31 | Loss | -107 | 80 h 36 m | Show |
DMack's Friday NFLX Super Play is on the NY Jets Zach Wilson has been without question, the best of the five first-round picks in this year's draft that will see any substantial playing time. While preseason is not really a fair gauge to judge, you can basically see th writing on the wall for the Jets. Wilson has completed 75% of his passes and has shown excellent judgement and mobility. He gets rid the ball quickly and makes good reads that have resulted in numerous dump offs that have produced positive yardage and in many cases moved the chains. Minimal turnovers, time of possession, and field position is just the RX for a rebuilding team like the Jets. Saleh has definitely left his imprint on the defense which is not great but has made some plays. If the Flyboys can find a way to run the ball on a consistent basis, Gang Green may be one of the surprise teams in the NFL this year. The Eagles have been a nightmare under Sirianni and don't figure to be much this year. Jalen Hurtz is already dinged and Joe Flacco isn't likely to have much success against his old mates. It's a cliche take but Saleh is looking to change the culture of the Jets. He's home and can make some headway by spanking the Eagles for a perfect 3-0 preseason. Philly will be just as happy to get out of Dodge somewhat healthy and and tweak what they can in the 10 days before the season starts. Jets 23-10. |
03-08-20 | Pelicans -6.5 v. Wolves | Top | 120-107 | Win | 100 | 4 h 7 m | Show |
DMack's NBA Play of the Day is on the New Orleans Pelicans The Pelicans are backing themselves up against the wall. They still have a chance to run down Memphis for a playoff spot but they have to start winning games and had the easiest schedule of any team in the NBA for their final 20 games. Nice spot for NOLA here against a T-Wolves team that was done long ago and just 8-23 at the Target Center. New Orleans has covered five straight as a road favorite and have no excuse not to blow out Minnesota here. |
03-08-20 | Valparaiso v. Bradley -3 | Top | 66-80 | Win | 100 | 2 h 59 m | Show |
DMack's NCAAB Play of the Day is on the Bradley Braves The teams split their MVC games this year and have in fact split the last six games in the series. Valpo was the No.7 seed that has played Cinderella winning three games in three nights by a combined 11 points. Bradley is a veteran bunch that won this tourney last year and is No.43 in the country in defensive efficiency. Looking for Bradley to bring the hammer down here and win this game comfortably ... wire-to-wire. |
02-29-20 | Seattle Dragons v. St. Louis BattleHawks -10.5 | Top | 16-23 | Loss | -115 | 52 h 28 m | Show |
DMack's XFL Week Four Game of the Week is the St Louis BattleHawks St Louis has covered all three games of their games and it's easy to see why. The BattleHawks were thought to be the weakest XFL team to start the season but what they have works. They have the best running back tandem in the league, a mobil playmaking quarterback, and a rock solid offensive line. they play ball control and the defense has been better than thought, holding a Bob Stoops offense without a touchdown for the first time since 2003. Seattle has scored just 49 points in its first three games with their stop unit creating just one turnover. The Dragons were beat by lowly Washington 31-19 in their only road game and will be fortunate to score 14 points here. St Louis rolls to a workman like 31-10 (Tennessee Titan type) win here. |
02-28-20 | Siena -5.5 v. Marist | Top | 52-50 | Loss | -109 | 11 h 37 m | Show |
DMack's NCAAB Play of the Day is on the Siena Saints Marist appears to have mailed it in as they are just 1-4 L5 and just 2-9 L11 in this series. The Foxes were spanked 70-57 at Siena on January 24th. Urgency completely with Siena which features the league's best guard in Pinkett. The Saints have won six straight and lead St Pete's by half a game in the MAAC. Sienna has won four straight in the series and there is nothing in current form to indicate the visitors cannot win and cover this very reasonable number. |
02-22-20 | Wyoming v. Air Force -7.5 | Top | 78-72 | Loss | -106 | 5 h 31 m | Show |
DMack's NCAAB Play of the Day is on the Air Force Falcons The Flyboys are not much but do own some wins over quality opponents and get their first real break here after s trip through the Mountain West gauntlet. The Falcons won the first go around 86-77 in Laramie, all the way back on December 4th. Air Force with a chance to finish up strong with three winnable games finish the MWC regular season. Air Force 81-60. |
02-14-20 | IUPU-Indianapolis v. Northern Kentucky -15 | Top | 70-84 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 45 m | Show |
DMack's NCAAB Play of the Day is on the Northern Kentucky Norse Two teams headed in opposite directions. IUPUI is 4-20 on the year, 2-11 in the Horizon and was already smoked by Northern Kentucky 96-71 earlier in the year. In that game, the Norse shot 77% from inside the arc and things don't figure to change much here. NKU has won four straight, 10-3 in the Horizon, and won four straight home games, three by 13+. Crush shot. |
02-12-20 | Furman -11.5 v. Samford | Top | 86-71 | Win | 100 | 7 h 52 m | Show |
DMack's NCAAB Play of the Day is on the Furman Paladins For whatever reason, Samford seems to be a sexy team among "sharp money" players and that was the case again last night after the Bulldogs were hit hard early. Not sure why as Samford has been a religious ticket burner at 5-17-1 ATS and was already hammered by Furman (101-78) back on January 22 in a game nowhere near as close as the final. Furman is locked in a dogfight with ETSU atop the Southern and will be primed with Chatt and ETSU on deck. Furman by 20. |
02-10-20 | Kings v. Bucks -10 | Top | 111-123 | Win | 100 | 8 h 20 m | Show |
DMack's NBA Play of the Day is on the Milwaukee Bucks The Bucks have run roughshod over the league in the first half and have also been solid money makers the way we keep score despite usually having to pay an exorbitant "Greek Freak" tax. Milwaukee is 13-1 straight up and 10-4 ATS L14 winning 7 straight in the series (5-2 ATS) in what have been shootouts (10 straight series overs) of late. The Bucks seem to be well focused and dialed in and won't want lose any momentum headed into the break. Bucks by 18. |
02-08-20 | Mavs -4 v. Hornets | Top | 116-100 | Win | 100 | 8 h 28 m | Show |
DMack's NBA Play of the Day is on the Dallas Mavericks The Mavs lost by a point last night at Washington but should get right back on track here against the struggling Hornets. Dallas has played well with and without Luca on the road and here they'll face a Charlotte team that has lost 11 of 12 games, is 2-6-1 L9 ATS at Time Warner Arena and have given every indication that they've quit on the season. Lay it. |
02-06-20 | Pelicans -4.5 v. Bulls | Top | 125-119 | Win | 100 | 8 h 46 m | Show |
DMack's NBA Play of the Day is on the New Orleans Pelicans New Orleans is slowly but surely working Zion into the rotation and the Pelicans should be tough to deal with the rest of the way. The Pelicans are 10-3 ATS in their L13 road games so they've been playing well with suitcase even before Zion came on the scene. The Pelicans have beaten the Bulls five straight times and the Chicago has lost three straight. Further, the Bulls are just 3-6 ATS L9 at the Untied Center, allowed 125.7 ppg. in their L3, and are at a substantial size disadvantage with recent injuries to their big people. Like New Orleans by double-digits here. |
02-01-20 | Cornell v. Yale -17.5 | Top | 71-86 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 2 m | Show |
DMack's NCAAB Play of the Day is on the Yale Bulldogs Bullet Analysis: Cornell is 4-10 overall, 0-10 on the road, and were beaten by double-digits by a below-average Brown team last night. Meanwhile, Yale won it's fifth straight as it continues to rampage through the Ivy, spanking Columbia 93-62. Yale is an experienced veteran team that is VERY VERY good, possibly a 6-8 seed Big Dance good. Yale 88-51. |
01-31-20 | Columbia v. Yale -14 | Top | 62-93 | Win | 100 | 5 h 60 m | Show |
DMack''s NCAAB Play of the Day is on the Yale Bulldogs Yale is a killer that will likely run the table in the Ivy. The Bulldogs are for real and a definite threat to get past the first weekend in the Big Dance. This is just Yale's fourth home game all year and they are a perfect 3-0 with all wins by 11+ points. Columbia is 5-12 overall, and 0-3 versus the RPI top 100 losing by 19-18-36 points. Yale is 7-1 L8 in the series but count on the Bulldog's being very serious here as the one loss was on this floor last year. Yale 84-60. |
01-30-20 | Western Kentucky -2.5 v. Florida Atlantic | Top | 65-69 | Loss | -107 | 8 h 32 m | Show |
DMack's NCAAB Play of the Day is on the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers Western Kentucky has won 5 straight, is 7-1 in conference, and has two nice road wins in their last two road outings. The Hilltoppers are 9-5 in their L14 as a CUSA road fave and face an FAU team that has lost three straight. CUSA road favorites of 5 or less are a perfect 4-0 this year and this is a top spot for a red-hot WKY outfit laying small points. |
01-29-20 | Holy Cross v. Navy -11 | Top | 66-81 | Win | 100 | 5 h 0 m | Show |
DMack's NCAAB Play of the Day is on the Navy Midshipmen Analysis to follow |
01-28-20 | Warriors v. 76ers -12 | Top | 104-115 | Loss | -101 | 7 h 10 m | Show |
DMack's NBA Play of the Day is on the Philadelphia 76ers The Warriors have been reduced to a D-League roster and it shows as Golden State is just 1-12 in its L13. To their credit, the players that they do have play hard and the Warriors are 12-11 ATS on the road getting the big points they normally get. That said, they face a monster tonight in the 76ers who have won and covered their last seven home games and are 8-1 ATS L9 in the series, 5-0 ATS in their L5 in the series at the Wells Fargo. Joel Embiid looks to be good to go and Philadelphia can name the score if it wants. Philadelphia 113-89. |
01-28-20 | Florida State -1 v. Virginia | Top | 56-61 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 54 m | Show |
DMack's NCAAB Play of the Day is on the Florida State Seminoles These are two of the better defensive teams in college basketball and that was affirmed by the Seminoles 54-50 home win over the Cavs on Jan 15th. Florida State is big, physical, and athletic, and made for this type of matchup. The Sems have won 10 straight, the last three by four or less or in OT. FSU is 7-1 in the ultra-tough ACC but that loss was by a bucket early on (November) at Pitt. Virginia is in a down year and just doesn't score enough regardless of how good their defense. Florida State by 8. |
01-27-20 | Spurs -2 v. Bulls | Top | 109-110 | Loss | -107 | 8 h 18 m | Show |
DMack's NBA Play of the Day is on the San Antonio Spurs Not the best of spots for the Spurs who are off two straight very tough home losses. Getting out of Alamo City might just be the cure for a San Antonio team that is 8-2 in its L10 road games. The Bulls will be short-handed here with Markkanen out 4-6 weeks with a hip injury and not a whole lot of size on the bench. Chicago is off a road win at Cleveland but the Bulls are 0-6 ATS following their L6 straight up wins and just 2-6 ATS in their L8 at the United Center. Chitown just 1-4 straight up in the series and won't have big points to back them up here. Spurs by eight. |
01-27-20 | CS Sacramento v. Northern Arizona -1.5 | Top | 54-69 | Win | 100 | 8 h 4 m | Show |
DMack's NCAAB Play of the Day is on the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks Sacramento State is 4-0 at home in Big Sky action but 0-4 on the road where they find themselves tonight. The Hornets average just 50.5 ppg. on the conference road and their 43.1% shooting percentage is No.346 out of 353 Div-I teams. The Jacks have won three straight and have same season home revenge here having lost 64-57 in Cali in a game that found them down 20 at the half. All eight Northern conference games have been decided by 8 or less and both teams have a propensity to play close games. At the end of the day, it's payback for a home team against a team that is yet to find an answer away from home. |
01-26-20 | Suns v. Grizzlies -2.5 | Top | 109-114 | Win | 100 | 13 h 34 m | Show |
DMack's NBA Play of the Day is on the Memphis Grizzlies Bullet Analysis: Both teams are on the improve but we'll side with the Grizz who are 8-2 L10 and 8-3 ATS in their L11 at home. The Suns are 5-3 L8 with Devin Booker saving the bacon on most nights. Memphis has won 3 of the last 4 in the series on this floor and should be able to cover this very doable number. |
01-26-20 | San Diego State -7 v. UNLV | Top | 71-67 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 39 m | Show |
DMack's NCAAB Play of the Day is on the San Diego State Aztecs Bullet analysis: The Aztecs are the last unbeaten team in the country and have owned UNLV for a long long time. In fact, SDSU has won 10 straight in the series and have beaten the Rebs four times on their home floor in the L6 Mountain West tournaments. UNLV is 6-2 in conference, 4-0 at home but .... the improving Rebels are 1-6 straight up versus the RPI Top 100 and are no match here. San Diego State by double-digits. |
01-22-20 | Lakers -11.5 v. Knicks | Top | 100-92 | Loss | -108 | 7 h 38 m | Show |
DMack's NBA Play of the Day is on the Lakers Bullet Analysis: The Lakers were waxed at Boston 139-107 in last in a game that featured the return of Anthony Davis and plenty of off-the-court distractions. Looking for a much more focused and determined Lake Show here at the mecca, MSG, playing a team they beat by 30 at the Staples Center just two weeks ago. The Knicks are 2-8 L10 and as if things couldn't be worse, the bear has been poked. |
01-20-20 | High Point v. USC Upstate -6.5 | Top | 70-62 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 23 m | Show |
DMack's NCAAB Play of the Day is on the USC Upstate Spartans Slim pickins on this abbreviated MLK car has us in the Big South today. The High Point Panthers are not much going 4-14 overall and 4-12 on the year ATS. The Point is 1-9 straight up on the road and faces a somewhat underrated SCUS team that is 7-11 on a schedule that was front loaded with away games. The Spartans will start making those up over the next few weeks. They're 5-2 at home and a money making 10-5 ATS on the year and we expect them to take care of business in a big way here. |
01-19-20 | Loyola-Chicago -3.5 v. Illinois State | Top | 62-50 | Win | 100 | 7 h 56 m | Show |
DMack's NCAAB Play of the Day is on Loyola Chicago The dog is 10-1 in the L11 series meetings but Illinois State is 1-4 in five MVC games with an inexplicable win over Northern Iowa. Loyola is really starting to play well winning 8 of its L10 games and is 4-1 in conference play with a three-point loss at a tough Drake outfit the only blemish. Most importantly for our purposes, the Ramblers play good pressure defense that creates turnovers in 24% of opponent possession and are No.2 in the country in shooting percentage inside the arc which would indicate they are getting some very good shot. Lay the points with the small road favorite. |
01-18-20 | Pacific v. Santa Clara -3.5 | Top | 80-84 | Win | 100 | 10 h 4 m | Show |
DMack's NCAAB Play of the Day is on the Santa Clara Broncos Strangely enough, we still don't know what we have with the 15-4 Santa Clara Broncos who are 14-0 at home and 1-4 ATS on the road. That said, they have played five brutal road games with losses at Gonzaga, Stanford, San Fran with the only red-flag being Nevada. Pacific is a counterfeit 15-5. I've seen this team a couple of times and the Tigers don't rate very high on the eye test. Santa Clara was embarrassed by 50 at the Zags mid-week and overall have been ATS monsters. Back on track here with double-digit win. |
01-17-20 | Brown v. Yale -10.5 | Top | 56-70 | Win | 100 | 7 h 44 m | Show |
DMack's NCAAB Play of the Day is the Yale Bulldogs The Ivy teams come off a long hiatus with Brown not having played in 15 days, Yale 18. The Bears have lost 9 of 10 in the series and 9 straight on this floor. Yale is ready to rock after having played a tough non-conference schedule (No.35) and owning the No.4 ranked FG% defense in college basketball. Brown turns the ball over on better than 23% of their possessions which just won't work here trying to trade points with the Elis. Yale 76-55. |
01-16-20 | Nuggets -4.5 v. Warriors | Top | 134-131 | Loss | -109 | 11 h 53 m | Show |
DMack's NBA Play of the Day is on the Denver Nuggets Denver is 14-4 in its L18 games and their 14 wins since December 12th are the best in the NBA. Did a double-take at this number as a the Warriors have lost none straight and are just 1-3 ATS in their L4 home games offering little resistance. Denver has lost three straight versus the Warriors and while this Golden State outfit is a D-League squad at best, a Nugget blow out or at least dominating win would have to be a good thing for the collective Nugget mindset. |
01-16-20 | North Florida -1 v. Jacksonville | Top | 75-68 | Win | 100 | 7 h 53 m | Show |
DMack's CBB Play of the Day is on the North Florida Ospreys North Florida figured to be a player in the Atlantic Sun this year and played a tough non-conference schedule, giving teams like Florida and Dayton all they wanted. The Ospreys won their first three conference games but are off a brutal home loss to NJIT in their last with Sun kingpin Liberty on deck. Jacksonville is just 8-10, 4-3 at home, and 1-2 in conference play. The Dolphins scored just 37 points in 16 point loss to Liberty in last and don't have much fire power under normal circumstances. No excuses for Norther Florida here. |
01-06-20 | UL - Lafayette v. Appalachian State -7.5 | Top | 81-73 | Loss | -111 | 6 h 59 m | Show |
DMack's NCAAB Play of the Day is on Appalachian State The Mountaineers have made a living beating up on teams like this. App State swept the Cajuns last year winning by 27-10 points respectively scoring 104 and 90 points. App State saw it's 5-game home court win streak snapped in last by Georgia State, the Mounties first home loss, and the favorite is 5-1 versus teams outside the RPI top 200 which fits here. Lafayette is 5-9 vs. the No.294 ranked schedule and has lost all five true road games, four of those by 12+ points. Both teams play their third game in five nights, further reason to take App State will not also be battling travel. App State by 20. |
01-05-20 | Iona v. Monmouth -1.5 | Top | 61-73 | Win | 100 | 9 h 38 m | Show |
DMack's NCAAB Play of the Day is on Monmouth Iona's season to this point has been nothing short of horrific. The once proud Gaels started college hoops this season, No.1 in experience but are just 2-9 with wins against equally horrific Stetson and Kennesaw out of the Atlantic Sun. Iona is in the top 50 in the nation turning the ball over and a program that was once a proud shooting team is converting just 28% of it's threes. Monmouth saw it's four games win streak snapped on Friday by giving one away at Siena. The Hawks experienced themselves and 6-6 versus a middle of the road but representative schedule and on the improve. They've played a number of close games (L4 decided by 10 total) and should be well prepared here. |
01-01-20 | Furman -11.5 v. VMI | Top | 89-73 | Win | 100 | 2 h 1 m | Show |
DMack's NCAAB Play of the Day is on Furman The Furman Paladins are a solid program that generally represents itself well. The Paladins are 5-0 versus teams outside the RPI Top 200 and an OT loss to Auburn is an example of their quality. Furman has beaten VMI eight straight, including the last four meetings on this floor, all by 12+ points. The Keydets are awful and 2-9 against the No.332 (out of 352 teams) toughest schedule in the country and 0-3 versus the Top 100 with all losses by double-digits. Being a matinee and because Furman has not played in 12 days, this number opened up soft and took significant play on the overnight. Despite being road chalk here, still think Furman is a top play on a sketchy New Year's Day board and look to the Paladins to win by 20. |
12-21-19 | St. John's v. Arizona -10.5 | Top | 70-67 | Loss | -110 | 13 h 44 m | Show |
DMack's NCAAB Play of the Day is on the Arizona Wildcats St Johns is 10-2 but against schedule No.346 with their best win over West Virginia. The Red Storm's new coach has Arkansas roots and plays the 60 minutes of hell defense but that is not likely to be effective here as the Wildcats have excellent guard play. Arizona is 10-2 but has lost 2 of 3 but those were to Gonzaga and Baylor, both top 15 teams. The Cats have been knocking down better than 38% of their treys so if they knock down some shots early, the Johnny pressure will loosen right up. Arizona 85-68. |
12-19-19 | Coastal Carolina -3.5 v. Troy State | Top | 59-77 | Loss | -109 | 6 h 24 m | Show |
DMack's NCAAB Play of the Day is on the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers Troy is just 2-7 versus Div-I opposition and are just not very good. They have a new coach and have had some success pressuring the ball but are clearly outclassed here. Coastal Carolina is 5-4 and has won four straight including a blowout 22-point mauling of Utah who beat Kentucky last night. The Chants are smart, handle the ball well, and can really shoot from the outside (42.2%, No.2) which will loosen things up here. Chants flying under the radar and should be 8-10 point favorites here. Absolutely a top play. |
12-07-19 | Wisconsin v. Ohio State -15.5 | Top | 21-34 | Loss | -110 | 20 h 43 m | Show |
DMack's NCAAF Championship Game Play of the Week is on the Ohio State Buckeyes The Buckeyes won the first go around 38-7 back on October 26th. Ohio State is 12-0 (9-3 ATS) so win and they're in the playoff. After getting upset at Illinois, the Badgers have won three straight while running the ball for 341 per but the Buckeyes didn't have much problem locking up Jonathan Taylor (52 yards, 2.6 per) the first time and hard to imagine any other outcome here. Fields has been masterful (68%) in guiding the Ohio State offense and has 37 TD passes while throwing just one pick. Ohio State 45-17. |

12-06-19 | Wizards v. Heat -9.5 | Top | 103-112 | Loss | -102 | 8 h 46 m | Show |
DMack's NBA Play of the Day is on the Miami Heat Not a great spot for the Wiz who upset the 76ers last night. Washington is just 2-5 L7 and faces a Miami Heat team that is 8-0 at home and will probably be pretty salty after getting spanked at Boston in their most recent. The Heat have been killers versus the number since the preseason and are 7-0 this year as a home favorite. Miami wins this one by 20+. |
11-29-19 | Missouri -12.5 v. Arkansas | Top | 24-14 | Loss | -109 | 18 h 42 m | Show |
Mack Attack Friday Turkey Super Play is on the Missouri Tigers You probably won't find a more Jeckyl and Hyde team than Missouri. The Tigers have lost five straight but can get bowl eligible here with a win. Mizzou crushed West Virginia and South Carolina earlier in the year and played Florida and Georgia tough during this recent skid. They also lost to Vanderbilt and blew a 17-point lead at Wyoming but overall the team can play. Last year the Tigers led Arkansas 28-0 at the half before cruising to a 38-0 win. Arkansas gave its all last week against LSU but at the end of the day, the Razorback are 107th in scoring offense and 126th in scoring defense. Another consideration is rumors of Missouri coach Odoms being on the hot-seat and with three straight up losses as a DDF this year, nothing less than a kill shot will be good for his job security. |
11-27-19 | Hofstra +1 v. San Diego | Top | 69-79 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 33 m | Show |
DMack's NCAAB Play of the Day is on the Hofstra Flying Dutchmen Yeah, yeah, … I know they're the "Pride" … just can't seem to call them that though … my "old school" coming through. Really did a double take at this line. Hofstra is the No.8 team experience team in the country and starts three seniors and two juniors. They've already beaten UCLA and Fullerton on this West Coast swing and face a Torrero outfit that is 2-5 vs. the No.75th ranked schedule and has lost three straight by 17+. This will be my strongest personal position of the night. |
11-26-19 | Belmont -6 v. Eastern Washington | Top | 82-87 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 18 m | Show |
DMack's NCAAB Play of the Day is on the Belmont Bruins Belmont has been one of the best and most overlooked "good" mid-majors for years but we won't pass the Bruins here. Belmont is 4-2 and plays it's fifth true road game which is how this team gets toughened up when it drops in class during conference play. They're a work in progress now but even in this rebuild, are much better in most every aspect than the respected Eastern Washington Eagles who start two frosh and a soph and depend on the three for 44% of their points while shooting less than 33% from behind the arc. Really like Belmont to win comfortably here by double-digits. |
11-23-19 | SMU -1 v. UNLV | Top | 72-68 | Win | 100 | 25 h 9 m | Show |
DMack's Saturday NCAAB Play of the Day is on the SMU Mustangs UNLV can't shoot, from in close or outside, and the Mustangs are one of the top ten rebounding teams in the country including the offensive boards where they've corralled 40% of their misses since the start of the season. The Rebs played Kansas State tough but shower their true colors at UCLA and are up against it here. SMU by double-digits. |
11-16-19 | Oregon State -10.5 v. Wyoming | Top | 83-63 | Win | 100 | 8 h 34 m | Show |
DMack's NCAAB Play of the Day is on the Oregon State Beavers The Oregon State returns three starters and use a rotation of three seniors and three juniors including Tinkle who scored 28 points in a Beaver 19-point win over Wyoming last year. The Cowboys have scored 85 combined points in their last two losses and haven't shown anything to give ANY indications that they can compete here. |
10-05-19 | Kent State v. Wisconsin -35 | Top | 0-48 | Win | 101 | 12 h 25 m | Show |
DMack's College Football Can of Whup Ass is on the Wisconsin Badgers This number should be closer to 50! Why ??? The Badgers have the best defensive metrics in the country and only garbage time points will prevent a Badger shutout of the Flashes. Kent is dead last in the FBS against the run so look for Jonathon Freeman to pad his Heisman numbers with a monster day. Kent is 0-15 SU and 4-11 ATS vs. The Big Ten since 2001. We'll call this 59-0 with a ton of confidence. |
06-07-19 | Raptors +4.5 v. Warriors | Top | 105-92 | Win | 100 | 9 h 35 m | Show |
DMack's NBA Finals Game IV Super Play is on the Toronto Raptors I very rarely change my opinion mid-stream but I'm a firm believer of the eye test and the Golden State Warrior team that was put out on the floor in Game III cannot compete at this level. The Warriors were out of the mix from the get go and it took 47 from Steph to make things as close as they were. Sure GSW will likely get Klay back for this one but at what level and I'm not a big klay guy to begin with. That's not to say that he won't go out and get 60 which he does every blue moon. In the end, the Warriors just don't play defense and their bench is the weakest of any of the five teams in the current five game championship run. Toronto straight up. |
04-29-19 | Blazers +4 v. Nuggets | Top | 113-121 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 4 m | Show |
DMack's NBA Playoff Play of the the Day is on the Portland Trailblazers The Nuggets were life and death to beat the Spurs in Game Seven at home and maybe Denver's big regular season is translating away to a "year away" type series here. Portland will always have the best man on the floor in Damian Lillard and the gutsy PG out of Weber State is getting enough from his surrounding cast that it has me on the Blazers for the series. This will look like the Celtics in Milwaukee last night. Portland 114-103. |
04-20-19 | Rockets +2.5 v. Jazz | Top | 104-101 | Win | 100 | 13 h 33 m | Show |
DMack's NBA Playoff Opening Round Game of the Year is on the Houston Rockets Any way you want to cap this game, the Rockets are just a horrible matchup for the Jazz. Houston has won 9 of the last 12 in the series and has won and covered three of the last four here, the final regular season between the two here by 28 points. Houston smoked the Jazz in the first two games in Texas, winning by 32 and 20 points after leading by 16 and 20 at the half and cruising the rest of the way. The Rockets look to be all business this year and we'll get that type of effort here. Rockets straight up, 118-104. |
04-02-19 | Wichita State +1 v. Lipscomb | Top | 64-71 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 28 m | Show |
DMack's Wichita/Lipscomb NIT Super Play is in the Wichita State Shockers Lipscomb has to be fird up about playing in New York in front of a national television audience. The Bison are no jokes owning wins over TCU and NC State. They also lost at Louisville by just four so this team can play. Wichita State flipped the switch after 8-11 start to salvage what was supposed to be a rebuilding year. The Shockers are 14-3 down the stretch and all their wins to get here were true road games. Witchy is also ride a hot player in senior McDuffie who will be best on the floor and that means something in a pick 'em. Wichita State 78-70. |
03-29-19 | Auburn v. North Carolina -5 | Top | 97-80 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 40 m | Show |
DMack's Sweet 16 Game of the Year is on the North Carolina Tar Heels Auburn has not had much success against the ACC this year losing to Duke by 6 and by 7 to North Carolina State. The Tigers are experienced and shooting the ball well but face a more physical and athletic team here. The Heels are 11-1 in their L12 with the one-point loss to Duke on Zion's return the only blemish. UNC is also 11-1 in its L16 sweet 16 games with the only loss to Wisconsin four years ago. Add to the mix that over the L4 years that No.1 seeds are 10-1-1 ATS in this round and we have a pretty strong case for Roy Williams bunch. Lay it. |
03-28-19 | Texas Tech v. Michigan -1.5 | Top | 63-44 | Loss | -109 | 13 h 34 m | Show |
DMack's Thursday Sweet 16 Play of the Day is on the Michigan Wolverines Arguably two of the hottest teams in the country in this 2-3 matchup. Both teams are athletic and play great defense but feel that the Wolverines shoot the ball better and will also bank on the mastery of HC John Beilein. The Red Raiders count on turning people over and that just does not happen against Michigan who are No.3 at protecting the ball and No.6 overall in defensive efficiency. Michigan has been here before and moves on. |
03-28-19 | Hampton v. NJIT -3 | Top | 82-70 | Loss | -108 | 9 h 28 m | Show |
DMack's Thursday CIT Super Play is on the NJIT Highlanders Despite not having played in 10 days, this is actually a very good spot for homestanding NJIT. Hampton played three starters 35+ minutes to advance on Tuesday and have the element of travel as well. The Pirates have lost 6 of 9 true road games and own ONE D-I win outside the Big South. The Highlanders were 13-3 outside the A-Sun against a moderate schedule and wear you down by getting to the foul line ... A LOT! NJIT by double-digits. |
03-25-19 | Coastal Carolina v. West Virginia -9 | Top | 109-91 | Loss | -109 | 9 h 53 m | Show |
DMack's Monday CBI Super Play is on the West Virginia Mountaineers It wouldn't be much of s stretch to say that the West Virginia Mountaineers are the only 15-20 team still playing in the country. It's been a nightmare season for HOF head coach Bob Huggins but was salvaged somewhat by throwing a couple of malcontents off the team, and abandoning his stifling length of the floor press in favor of a wide open offense that allows his kids to play. Remember that their end of the year resurgence and run in the Big 12 tournament was prompted by four end of the bench freshman that play their guts out and can put the ball in the hoop. Coastal Carolina also has a HOF coach in Cliff Ellis and does some nice things but in the end, does not have the fire power to stay with a fired up Mounties team and crowd. |
03-22-19 | Grizzlies v. Magic -6.5 | Top | 119-123 | Loss | -110 | 15 h 28 m | Show |
DMack's NBA Play of the Day is on the Orlando Magic We used the Magic on Wednesday and were an easy winner over a similar team that has quit in the Pelicans. The their credit, the Grizz are 6-4 in their L10 but just 2-6 last eight with suitcase and face an Orlando team that has won and covered three straight. Further, the Magic are 5-2 ATS in their L7 at the O-rena and have won and covered three straight hosting the Grizz. Orlando 106-94. |
03-20-19 | Texas Southern +1.5 v. New Orleans | Top | 95-89 | Win | 100 | 8 h 25 m | Show |
DMack's Wednesday College Hoops Dog Bite is on Texas Southern Texas Southern started the year at as the No.4 most experienced team in the country. They beat Baylor and Oregon in non-conference play and then had a disappointing year. The Tigers dominated Prairie View A&M in their conference final before folding late. Can't imagine this team would commit to the CIT if it didn't want to play and our power ranking have wrong team favored here. New Orleans lives and dies on creating turnovers but if Texas Southern protects the ball, they should win easily with more athletic team. Texas Southern 75-65. |
03-16-19 | Iowa State v. Kansas -1.5 | Top | 78-66 | Loss | -109 | 8 h 1 m | Show |
DMack's Iowa State/Kansas Big 12 Tournament Super Play is on the Kansas Jayhawks One these two teams has won the last six Big 12 tournaments so it will be seven after today. The teams split during the year but Clones may have peaked early and closed the year on a 2-6 run after before winning twice here. Kansas, despite injuries and NCAA imposed suspensions, was 8-2 down the stretch and just figure out ways to win. The Jayhawks failed to get a piece of the conference regular season crown for the first time in 14 years so the a win here will be a priority. It took 15 minutes for KU to figure out a white hot West Virginia but they did look for them to find a way to get it done here. Kansas 74-66. |
03-14-19 | Georgetown v. Seton Hall -3 | Top | 57-73 | Win | 100 | 10 h 41 m | Show |
DMack's Big East Tournament Game of the Year is on Seton Hall The Pirates are in the unenviable position of having done enough to get off the bubble with wins over Marquette and Villanova in their final two game but probably need to a win here to make it a slam dunk. Like they say in boxing ... Don't leave it in the hands of the judges. Nice spot for the Pirates who lost in double-OT to the Hoyas 12 days ago (three back) but have won six of the last eight in the series. The Pirates have had a lot of success in this tournament and won it in 2016. Patrick and G-Twon headed to the NIT barring a miracle here. Won't happen. Seton Hall 85-74. |
03-12-19 | St. Mary's v. Gonzaga -14.5 | Top | 60-47 | Loss | -109 | 9 h 48 m | Show |
DMack's WCC Tournament Game of the Year is on the Gonzaga Bulldogs This is all about making money .... not the sharp and square bullsh*t. This is the ninth time in 11 years that these two have met in this final with the Zags going 6-2. Gonzaga is 19-0 in conference, winning by an average of 29 ppg, and they've won 18 straight in this event with their last loss in 2012. The Zags have also won 21 straight with their last loss to North Carolina on Dec 15th missing two starters. Assuming Gonzaga wins, do they cover 15 ??? All 21 wins have come by 12+ points and their last six wins in this final have all been by double-digits. This isn't even a vintage St Mary's team and their two regular season losses were by 14 and 48. The Gaels might hang around a while but in the end ... Gonzaga puts the exclamation point on another one seed. Zags by 20. |
03-08-19 | Northern Iowa v. Southern Illinois -3 | Top | 61-58 | Loss | -105 | 18 h 52 m | Show |
DMack's Missouri Valley Conference Lock of the Year is on the Southern Illinois Salukis Southern Illinois is playing its best basketball of the year at the best time of the year. The Salukis have won 4 of 5 and the L4 games in the series including both meetings this year. These games were not blowouts by any means (7,8) but that's what the Salukis do. Southern Illinois started the year as the 7th most experienced team in Division I and it shows as they just don't turn the ball over. Norther Iowa dropped their final two games to finish 9-9 in MVC play. They are just 5-14 SU vs. the KP Top 200 so this is not a vintage Panther outfit by any means. Lay it with LOTS of confidence. Southern Illinois 66-53. |
03-05-19 | VCU -5 v. George Mason | Top | 71-36 | Win | 100 | 7 h 55 m | Show |
DMack's A-14 Conference Game of the Year is on the VCU Rams This VCU squad may be even better than the Ram squads that teased us in the beginning of the decade under Shaka Smart. Commonwealth still plays the same stifling defense, causing turnovers on better than 23% of opponent possessions but has added much more scoring. Mason has five of six home games but is just 3-5 in their last eight and have dropped 11 of the L13 in the series. VCU has won blew out Mason late in their February 2nd meeting holding the Patriots to just 2-19 from beyond the arc. Don't see this one even close .... VCU by 18. |
02-14-19 | Montana v. Weber State | Top | 83-80 | Win | 100 | 9 h 8 m | Show |
Mack Attack Big Sky Game of the Month is on the Montana Grizzlies The Grizz won round one by seven on their home court with a turnover advantage of +8. Montana had lost 11 straight trips to Ogden before breaking through last year. The Grizz have won seven straight and are also 5-1 on the conference road. Weber is just 2-3 in its L5 and and just 8-6-1 ATS in its L15 home games. There is a changing of the guard in the Big Sky and confirmed tonight with Montana winning by double-digits. |
02-13-19 | SMU v. Temple -4 | Top | 74-82 | Win | 100 | 6 h 48 m | Show |
DMack's CBB Play of the Day is on the Temple Owls Both team are struggling but I've seen both teams on multiple occasions and I can say without hesitation that Temple in much the better team here, at home, and at a very attractive price. SMU has lost seven of nine and have been non-competitive in their last four road games, all losses. The Owls have gone 3-4 L7, splitting four home games but find the perfect remedy for what ails in the Mustangs. |
02-06-19 | Baylor +3 v. Texas | Top | 72-84 | Loss | -109 | 8 h 23 m | Show |
DMack's CBB Not So Upset Shocker is on the Baylor Bears Baylor is one of the surprise teams in college hoops this year despite not playing with a top player out for the season with an injury. The Bears have won six straight including their last two by a combined 56 points. They've owned the Longhorns having won six straight in the series and are an impressive 15-5 L20 as a Big 12 road dog including 4-0 this year. Texas has never broken through or bought into Shaka's pressure defense and the Horns are 5-10-1 L16 as a home fave. Baylor straight up. |
02-06-19 | Nuggets -2 v. Nets | Top | 130-135 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 49 m | Show |
DMack's NBA Play of the Day is on the Denver Nuggets Love what the Brooklyn Nets have done but this is a team that is really beaten up with injuries at the moment and their recent play indicates it. Help is on the way but it won't get there tonight as Brooklyn faces a salty Denver Nugget team that was gutted by Detroit in the first game of this roadie. EVERYTHING went down for the Pistons Monday night and the Nugs figure to primed for a top effort here with their superior depth. Denver extends late for an easy win. |
02-05-19 | Pistons -4 v. Knicks | Top | 105-92 | Win | 100 | 8 h 23 m | Show |
DMack's NBA Play of the Day for Tuesday is on the Detroit Pistons The Pistons are a hit and miss bunch that will be playing for it's season over the next 10 games vs. a schedule that is favorable while teams that will be their main obstacles to a playoff run like Miami (start 7-game roadie tonight) are all in tough. Detroit was lights out against the Nuggets last night and face a Knick team with all new faces and undoubtedly tanking for Zion and the two premier free agents they'll be in the market to get after the playoffs. Andre Drummond is playing great and Blake Griffin looks to be dialed in. With a decent shooting night, Motown wins comfortably.  |
02-02-19 | Kentucky -3 v. Florida | Top | 65-54 | Win | 100 | 6 h 13 m | Show |
Mack Attack SEC Game of the Week is on the Kentucky Wildcats This is arguably John Calipari's best coaching job. UK has won seven straight, three of those coming on the road, and forcing turnovers on 23% of opponent possessions. The Cats are young and talented but make no mistake about out it .... this is not a vintage Kentucky team by any means which should play dividends down the road as Coach Cal won't lose many if any of these kids to the NBA. All that said, Florida is a total counterfeit and is just 2-4 as a home dog this year. The Gators have won three of the last four of the series including the last two on this floor by 22 and 13 points. Today is payback for the Cats. |
01-27-19 | Houston -7 v. Tulsa | Top | 77-65 | Win | 100 | 3 h 17 m | Show |
DMack's CBB Play of the Day is on the Houston Cougars Houston already spanked Tulsa by 18 earlier and has won four straight in the series. The Cougars also rock the nation's No.2 FG% defense and face a team that shoots 42% from inside the arc and was held to just 30% for the game in the first meeting. The Coogs have won their last two conference roadies by margin and are destined for better things in the post season. Houston by 15+ |
01-26-19 | Marquette -2.5 v. Xavier | Top | 87-82 | Win | 100 | 11 h 12 m | Show |
DMack's Big East Game of the Month is on the Marquette Golden Eagles |
01-20-19 | Patriots v. Chiefs -3 | Top | 37-31 | Loss | -109 | 66 h 37 m | Show |
Mack Attack AFC Championship Game Super Play is on the Kansas City Chiefs This is the eighth straight AFC championship game for the Patriots who have gone 4-3 in the last seven. New England has lost their last three championship games on the road and has not claimed an AFC title outside of Foxboro in 14 years. This year, the Pats have lost five times and the road and have been unable to run the football in those games. The Chiefs are the first team in NFL history to score at least 26 points in every game and regardless of the weather, have plenty of weapons to solve the Pats. The Kansas City defense was brilliant for the first time all year in bottling up Andrew Luck last week and have no excuse to not pressure Brady here. This is the first time in 70 games that the "Goat" enters a game as an underdog and their is not much that he'll be able to do about it. Kansas City 33-24. |
01-13-19 | Villanova -1 v. Creighton | Top | 90-78 | Win | 100 | 3 h 45 m | Show |
DMack's Big East Game of the Week is on the Villanova Wildcats This game will be an excellent indicator of exactly where this young 12-4 Wildcat team is. Nova is 3-0 atop the Big East but has not won in overpowering fashion and lets remember that this team lost the Ivy's Penn on the road in non-conference play. The Blue Jays are always tough, supremely coached, but struggling since losing their big man to injury. Creighton struggles on perimeter defense allowing better than 40% from behind the arc. Nova is 7-1 L8 in the series and we're essentially asking them to win here. They will .... call it 78-70. |
01-12-19 | Gonzaga -9.5 v. San Francisco | Top | 96-83 | Win | 100 | 10 h 54 m | Show |
DMack's NCAAB Play of the Day is on Gonzaga -9.5 Gonzaga beat up Duke early on and then went through a bad run of nagging injuries. Don't write off the Zags in The Dance! Gonzaga has walked through their last two WCC opponents winning by 40+ while allowing just 84 points. San Francisco is 14-2 with its two losses by just six points but .... the Dons have lost 14 straight in the series and haven't seen anything close to what they face here. The Zags have won seven straight on this floor, six by double-digits, and getting healthier by the day. Expect the Zags to restore order in the conference and send a message here. |
01-12-19 | Nuggets -9.5 v. Suns | Top | 93-102 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 58 m | Show |
DMack's NBA Play of the Day is on the Denver Nuggets -9.5Â Â The Nuggets are over their temporary vapor lock and quietly have won seven of their last eight. Denver just 2-5-1 ATS in its L8 road games but if they are ever going to blow someone out, it will be tonight in Phoenix. The Nugs have completely dominated the Suns of late going 9-1 SU and 8-2 ATS. The Suns haven't been much defending their home floor going 1-5-1 in their L7 games. Don't expect much defense to be played here (series 7-2 to the over L9) and with the total a modest 217, a look at the over might also be in play. Denver 125-106.Â
01-09-19 | Houston -1 v. Temple | Top | 69-73 | Loss | -109 | 8 h 54 m | Show |
DMack's AAC Game of the Month is on the Houston Cougars I'm a firm believer in the eye test and I've seen the 15-0 Houston Cougars play and they are VERY VERY good. The Coogs have two true road wins, at BYU and Oklahoma State but this is their first roadie in a month and that is reflective in the line. Temple will be a solid test but the Owls are just 2-3 against the KP Top 100 and with their best win coming vs. Missouri Houston owns the second best FG% against defense in the country and will wear the home team down late and win by double-digits. |
01-01-19 | Washington v. Ohio State -6.5 | Top | 23-28 | Loss | -106 | 31 h 30 m | Show |
Mack Attack Rose Bowl Super Play is on the Ohio State Buckeyes Can't think of one edge to Washington in this one against a Buckeye team that is reportedly stoked to be here and saying goodbye to Urban Meyer. Washington came into the year with National Championship aspirations that went right out the window with a bad loss at Auburn. He Huskies never recovered and face the nation's No.2 offense here, one that could drop 50 on the Pac-12 champ. Ohio State rolls here in Meyer's send off, let's cal it 45-17. |
12-31-18 | Pittsburgh v. Stanford -4 | Top | 13-14 | Loss | -103 | 4 h 36 m | Show |
Mack Attack Sun Belt Super Play is on the Stanford Cardinal This has been a hugely disappointing year for David Shaw and The Tree. Bryce love has been hurt all year and cost himself millions. Injuries have sure played a big part but this was not vintage Stanford by any means. The Cardinal finished up strong with three wins down the stretch and a month plus to get healthy and to prepare here. Pitt lost final two games by a 66-13 aggregate and has to be wondering what they are doing getting pushed around at the Mexican border. Stanford wire-to-wire, 35-10. |
12-30-18 | Thunder -2.5 v. Mavs | Top | 103-105 | Loss | -109 | 7 h 20 m | Show |
Mack Attack NBA Play of the Day is on the OKC Thunder Looking for the Thunder to close out 2018 on a positive note by continuing their solid play and getting a Maverick monkey off their back. Dallas has lost 7 of 8 but have covered four straight so they're losing close games. That said, that's the key here is lose close games. The Thunder have covered three of four on the road and have been a strong second half team. OKC is 0-5 ATS in their L5 visits to Big D and that crashes and burns here. |
12-30-18 | Delaware v. Northeastern -13 | Top | 82-80 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 39 m | Show |
DMack's Sunday College Hoops Super Play is on the Northeastern Huskies Northeastern has won seven of the last eight in the series with the Blue Hens beating Delaware three times last year by a combined 39 points. The matchup is all Huskies here as Northeastern is No.7 in the country in FG% while making 39% of their threes. The Hens play no perimeter defense at all and allow almost 40% from beyond the arc. Taking into account that Delaware lost to a similar Hofstra team by 45 during the week, no hesitant to lay double-digits here. |
12-29-18 | Rockets -2 v. Pelicans | Top | 108-104 | Win | 100 | 9 h 36 m | Show |
DMack's NBA Play of the Day is on the Houston Rockets This is the back end of a home/home B2B for the Pelicans but this is not the best of sports against a fresh red-hot Rocket team coming in. The Pelicans were taken to the limit last night by Dallas and still needed 48 and 17 from Anthony Davis to eke out a two-point win. Houston is 8-2 L10 tp crawl back into the Western Conference playoff hunt and has been shooting lights out since Chris Paul went down. Would have liked to have gotten the opener but the -2 is fair and manageable. |

12-22-18 | Ohio State -6 v. UCLA | Top | 80-66 | Win | 100 | 5 h 55 m | Show |
DMack's College Hoops Revenge Spot Special is on the Ohio State Buckeyes UCLA is not going to want to think about Ohio after this game. The Bruins just got waxed by Cincinnati by 29 (a team that Ohio State has already beaten on its home court) and face a Buckeye outfit looking for revenge from an 86-73 loss in Las Vegas two years ago when the Bruins were rolling and the Bucks were rebuilding. Neutral court here at United Center in Chicago but love me some Buckeye beat down here against a VERY young Bruin outfit. |
12-21-18 | Oklahoma +2 v. Northwestern | Top | 76-69 | Win | 100 | 10 h 41 m | Show |
DMack's NCAAB Play of the Day for Friday is on the Oklahoma Sooners It looked like it was going to be a big year for Northwestern who returned an experienced team of vets and got off to a good start but ... the Cats are just 1-3 against the Top 100 with best win against a very pedestrian Georgia Tech team. Oklahoma has won six straight against the No.26 schedule in the country and is 10-1. The Sooners are 5-1 against Top 100, top five in FG% defense, beat Northwestern by 26 last year, and are coached by one of the top five in the game in Lon Kruger. Oklahoma by 10. |
12-19-18 | Auburn +1 v. NC State | Top | 71-78 | Loss | -120 | 9 h 57 m | Show |
DMack's Auburn/NC State Super Lock is on the Auburn Tigers Both these teams are 9-1 but that's where ANY similarity between the teams ends. The Tigers have a six-point loss to Duke in Maui as the only blemish on their card while the Wolf Pack have played the one the 10 weakest schedules out of the 352 board teams with a four-point loss to a very pedestrian Wisconsin team in one of their few games vs. a team with a pulse. Auburn pressure creating turnovers 28% of the time and Bruce Pearl has a real bunch of killers here. Use both hands. |
12-06-18 | Drake -2 v. Wisc-Milwaukee | Top | 75-61 | Win | 100 | 8 h 2 m | Show |
DMack's Thursday College Hoops Super Play is on Drake These are two pretty volatile programs looking for some stability. Drake is on it's third coach in three years and Milwaukee it's third coach in four years. On the court, the Drakesters start a senior and three juniors and they can score, 83 and 95 points the last two game. Wisc-Mil knocks down just 30% of it's treys and is in the bottom 10 in the country in creating turnovers. If Drake has an average shooting night, they run the Panthers out of the gym and there is not much the home team can do about it. |
12-03-18 | Niagara v. Pittsburgh -15.5 | Top | 71-70 | Loss | -108 | 7 h 8 m | Show |
DMack's CBB Play of the Day is on the Pitt Panthers Niagra is awful and they catch the worst of matchups here in the Pitt Panthers. The Purple Eagles are knocking down just 28% of their treys and shooting just 41% from inside the arc. They face the No.15 defensive FG% team in the country here so they won't get many looks to begin with. Pitt is 7-1 against a weak schedule but DRASTICALLY improved from the team that winless in the ACC last year. Lay the wood. |
12-02-18 | Delaware v. Columbia | Top | 87-86 | Win | 100 | 5 h 16 m | Show |
DMack's NCAAB Play of the Day is on Delaware The Blue Hens are doing some nice things and have a good young foundation. They don't turn the ball over much and they do knock down their three pointers. Columbia is terrible and the Lions are already 0-4 against D-I teams, none in the Top 200. They are No.333 in defensive FG%, a number that is tough to overcome at any level of play. |
12-02-18 | Broncos -4.5 v. Bengals | Top | 24-10 | Win | 100 | 5 h 15 m | Show |
DMack's NFL Week 13 Super Play is on the Denver Broncos The Bengals have lost five of six, are riddled with injuries including Andy Dalton, and even Marvin Lewis probably won't survive this one. Driskell makes first start after a nightmare college career at Florida and Tom Savage is his backup. Denver has a BIG shot at the final wild card and off upsets of the Chargers and Steelers since their bye week. Broncs a healthy 8-4-1 as road faves L13. Denver 30-14. |
11-30-18 | Utah v. Washington -5.5 | Top | 3-10 | Win | 100 | 19 h 58 m | Show |
DMack's Pac-12 Championship Super Play is on the Washington Huskies These two met during the season with UWub winning easily despite numerous injuries while Utah was 100% healthy. The shoe is on the other foot now with Washington as healthy as they've been all year against a Utah team that limps in without its starting QB or big back. Take the Huskies. |
11-30-18 | Appalachian State v. East Carolina | Top | 81-83 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 51 m | Show |
DMack's NCAAB Play of the Day is on App State App State is 2-4, 2-0 vs. D-II teams and 0-4 vs. D-I teams but .... don't let that fool you as they've played the 4th toughest schedule in the country to this point. The Mounties also have experience and are knocking down 40% of their treys. East Carolina is 3-3 but 0-2 to Top 200 schools and shooting just 27% from downtown. THat's pretty much what you need to know. |
11-27-18 | Virginia Tech -3 v. Penn State | Top | 62-63 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 59 m | Show |
DMack's NCAAB Kitchen Sink winner is on the Virginia Tech Hokies The young Nits (No.317) th are going to have to get good on the job and have no depth (No.322) to help them out. They face a formidable Hokies team that could be the best that Buzz has had since coming to Blacksburg from Marquette. VT is 5-0 and has already beaten a better Big Ten team in Purdue. Lay the Trifecta. |
11-24-18 | Notre Dame -11 v. USC | Top | 24-17 | Loss | -110 | 17 h 15 m | Show |
Mack Attack Rivalry Week Game of the Year is on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish Clay Helton likely coaches his last game here and is in the unenviable position of facing a team that must not on win but win with style points to leave absolutely nothing to chance with the playoff committee. Gunslinger Book is healthy and dealing and the Irish defense stops the run with is what the Trojans do best. 37-10 Notre Dame sounds about right. |
11-24-18 | Dartmouth v. San Francisco -18.5 | Top | 65-84 | Win | 100 | 7 h 59 m | Show |
DMack's College Basketball Play of the Day is on the San Francisco Dons The Dons are experienced and very very good. They are not a team that will beat Gonzaga but they could be on par with the St Mary's of the world. San Francisco is blowing out this kind has not shown any compunction to take the foot off the gas pedal. Lay the wood as quickly as possible as it will go higher, probably to 20 or above. |
11-18-18 | LIU Brooklyn v. San Francisco -16.5 | Top | 52-84 | Win | 100 | 10 h 4 m | Show |
DMack's College Basketball Beat Down of the Week is on the San Francisco Dons Analysis to follow |
11-17-18 | UTEP +7 v. Western Kentucky | Top | 16-40 | Loss | -110 | 23 h 49 m | Show |
DMack Underdog Game of the Year is on the UTEP Miners Reports have Sanford gone after just two years at WKU. That's what happens when you follow Jeff Brohm who went 30-10 in three years and you follow up with just one FBS win just two year later. The Miners looked good two back in snapping 20 game losing streak and then got caught by division leading Middle Tennesee. Two bad teams but one showing "Buy" signs while the other looks like to has already quit after three straight losses by 21, 19 and 19. Neither should be laying a touchdown ... Miners win straight up. |
11-16-18 | Vermont v. Louisville -8 | Top | 78-86 | Push | 0 | 6 h 42 m | Show |
DMack Kitchen NCAAB Game of the Week is on the Louisville Cardinals Analysis to follow |
11-10-18 | Colorado State v. Nevada -14 | Top | 10-49 | Win | 100 | 12 h 59 m | Show |
DMack's Mountain West Game of the Year is on the Nevada Wolfpack The season has been a disaster start to finish for the snake bitten Colorado State Rams who are now on a 3-13 ATS run. Nevada has been doing some nice things and gets bowl eligible with arch rival UNLV on deck in their battle for the Fremont cannon. The Pack was predicted to be the doormat of the MWC this year so recent second half run is the cherry on the cake of a breakout season. |
11-03-18 | Fresno State -26 v. UNLV | Top | 48-3 | Win | 100 | 21 h 10 m | Show |
DMack's College Football Can of Whup Ass is on the Fresno State Bulldogs UNLV is playing out the string and sadly so is Rebel HC Tony Sanchez. The offense is injury riddled and facing a Top 20 national stop unit here. The Rebel defense has been an abomination for almost two decades and this year is no exception. Fresno can win this game by 40 if it wants and Tedford has shown no compunction to take the foot off the pedal as his 17-3-2 ATS make in the Valley would suggest. Fresno State 49-10. |
10-25-18 | Nuggets -3 v. Lakers | Top | 114-121 | Loss | -106 | 10 h 26 m | Show |
DMack's NBA Game of the Week is on the Denver Nuggets The Nuggets are 4-0 SU and ATS and after a week look to be second best in the West. Strangely enough, the Nuggets held their first three opponents to less than 100 points and are getting it done on both side of the court. Lakers got first win last night but not the greatest of spots, B2B with multiple suspensions. The Lake show is 0-2 while allowing 133.5 per at full strength. Nuggs by double-digits. |
10-20-18 | Spurs v. Blazers -4 | Top | 108-121 | Win | 100 | 13 h 58 m | Show |
DMack's NBA Game of the Week winner is on the Portland Trailblazers Analysis to Follow |
10-20-18 | Mississippi State v. LSU -6 | Top | 3-19 | Win | 100 | 11 h 15 m | Show |
DMack's SEC Game of the Month is on the LSU Tigers The LSU haters are out again and this time they are hating on the Bayou Bengals on their home field. The Mississippi State defense is a proven commodity but the question here is whether the Landsharks can beat LSU completely devoid of a passing attack. The answer is no. LSU will be on Fitzgerald like white on rice while his counterpart has thrown one bad pass (the pick six late against Florida) the entire season. LSU 26-13. |
10-13-18 | Michigan State v. Penn State -13 | Top | 21-17 | Loss | -105 | 27 h 24 m | Show |
Mack Attack NCAAF Lock of the Week is the Penn State Nittany Lions The Nits have had an extra week to stew after their 27-26 loss to Ohio State. Penn State has also lost three of four in the series and in revenge mode from last year. Mich State has had issues and is one of the more disappointing teams in college football his year. |
10-06-18 | North Texas -26.5 v. UTEP | Top | 27-24 | Loss | -110 | 76 h 21 m | Show |
DMack's NCAAF Can of Whup Ass is on the North Texas Mean Green Everyone seems to want to make excuses for North Texas not coming to play today but that will not be the case vs. a winless UTEP team that was showing "buy" signs before their QB Locksley got hurt. Mean Green were losers of three straight in the series and down 14-7 at the half last year before waking up. North Texas QB Fine (13-1 TD/Int) ratio banged up but will reportedly play so can't help but figure that a team that saw it's undefeated season go down in flames at home in a game they had in hand, not role a a team they should easily crush and regain some swagger. Miners lose their 18th straight by margin. |
