08-27-16 | Eagles v. Colts -3 | Top | 33-23 | Loss | -106 | 97 h 21 m | Show |
The Eagles replaced former HC Chip Kelly with new HC Doug Pederson. HC Pederson is replacing Kelly's fast-paced offense with a more traditional NFL offense during the Preseason. While the Eagles are 2-0 heading into Saturday, the offense is still in the learning phases while scoring 17 points in BOTH games. While 17 points is low, but not terrible, it IS terrible when you look further into their numbers. These Eagles have already benefited from 9 turnovers during their first 2 games, but still only managed 17 points. Even with all the turnovers, Philadelphia still has not gained 100 rushing, gaining 91 & 92 yards on the ground so far. Expect the Colts to easily outscore them, especially since Indy's main objective will be to keep QB Andrew Luck healthy. First-round pick C Ryan Kelly will start immediately and half of the offensive line could be rookies. Saturday is the Colt's last exhibition home game and their 3rd Preseason game, which is usually the most important, since they'll rest most starters in the final Preseason game. The Eagles are a money burning 15-24 ATS as Dogs during the Preseason and expecting to see the Colt's offense working on all cylinders. 20* Play On INDIANAPOLIS COLTS |

08-26-16 | Packers v. 49ers -1 | Top | 21-10 | Loss | -110 | 77 h 50 m | Show |
The 49ers really looked like they started to understand new HC Chip Kelly's offense during last weeks, 31-24, victory over the Bronco's #1 ranked defense. It's no surprise that HC Kelly's fast paced offense is scoring points during the Preseason, as he went 3-1 with the Eagles during the 2015 NFL exhibition season while scoring 36 points or more in 3 of those 4 games (18 points in the 4th game). Since HC Kelly is in his 1st season with the 49ers, he knows that he MUST treat these Preseason games like the Regular season so he can get his team ready. The 49ers have 2 games under their belts and should look even better during week #3, but QB Kaepernick will make his first appearance for HC Kelly and is fighting for the starting job with QB Blaine Gabbert. The Packers are favored by most books to win the NFC, so they'll be looking towards the Regular season hoping that their starters don't get hurt. We'll back the 49ers, who will use ALL 4 quarters to get this new system running smooth. |
|||||||
08-25-16 | Cowboys +6 v. Seahawks | Top | 17-27 | Loss | -110 | 57 h 31 m | Show |
Vegas opened Seattle as home favorites hosting Dallas on Thursday and the point spread has continued to climb up all week! After opening up at -4 at most books, Seattle has moved to -6, or higher, depending where you wager. Not sure why bettors continue to back Seattle, knowing that they've scored just 17 and 11 points in their first 2 preseason games this year, which includes a "Hail Mary" TD on the last play of the game against the Chiefs. And, they were held to 13, 16 & 20 points in their first three exhibition games in 2015! They host a Cowboys team that beat Miami, 41-14, last week and we find Dallas at 6-1 ATS playing on the road after winning their previous Preseason game by 10 points or more! Take the big number with a Cowboys team that owns true offensive fire power behind QB Romo and rookie RB Elliot. |
|||||||
08-20-16 | Chiefs +2 v. Rams | Top | 20-21 | Win | 100 | 32 h 42 m | Show |
Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid is one of the most experienced coaches in the NFL and believes that practice makes perfect while building a "winning culture." HC Reid starts his 4th season with K.C. and has won 9 games or more in ALL 3 seasons with the team. That includes an 11-5 regular season record last year after going 4-0 in the 2015 NFL Preseason. We gave out K.C. over Seattle as our "Preseason Opener" last week and covered the entire game before losing, 17-16, on the last play of the game as Seattle completed a "Hail Mary" for the winning TD. K.C. is now 0-1 and you can bet that HC Reid doesn't want to lose back-to-back games to start 2016! While the Chiefs only scored 17 points last week, expect a better offensive effort on Saturday knowing that they scored 24 points or more in 3 of their 4 Preseason games in 2015. |
|||||||
08-18-16 | Falcons +3 v. Browns | Top | 24-13 | Win | 100 | 12 h 25 m | Show |
The Browns 17-11 loss in their Preseason opener was much worse than the 6 points would indicate. Green Bay dominated the game despite the fact that they rested their starters! Cleveland only managed to score 11 points, with only 77 rushing yards and 95 passing yards. Even worse, Green Bay rested most of their starters, but still won behind Joe Callahan and Marquise Williams playing QB. The Browns hired another new coaching staff, led by HC Hugh Jackson, to implement yet another new offensive, and defensive, schemes. Don't expect the Browns to learn these new systems, or to improve, during the next few weeks- When Hugh Jackson implemented his offensive system as the offensive coordinator in Atlanta (2007), the Falcons started the season at 1-6, when he did it in Oakland (2010), the Raiders started at 1-3. On Thursday they host a high powered Atlanta offense that looked great while winning last week, 23-17, against Washington. Cleveland is NOT ready to be favored yet, but the Oddsmakers opened the Browns as favorites to fool bettors- Jump on Atlanta. |
|||||||
08-13-16 | Seahawks v. Chiefs -3 | Top | 17-16 | Loss | -120 | 24 h 25 m | Show |
The Chiefs enter their 4th season behind HC Andy Reid. They come off an impressive 11-5 2015 season, which included a Playoff victory. HC Reid believes in building "a winning culture" right from the get go, which is one of the reasons why K.C. posted a 4-0 record during last year's Preseason. They host a Seattle team that made it to back-to-back Super Bowls in 2013 & 2014 and won a Playoff game in 2015. Seattle's won 10 or more games for 4 straight seasons and must expect this successful team, filled with veterans, to just want to get through the exhibition season without any injuries. Seattle was held to 20 points or less in 3 of their 4 Preseason games in 2015 and expect them to start slow on Saturday on the road in K.C. |
|||||||
08-11-16 | Bucs +3.5 v. Eagles | Top | 9-17 | Loss | -118 | 51 h 29 m | Show |
The Eagles made more changes than any other NFL team during the off-season, including hiring new Head Coach, Doug Pederson, to replace former HC Chip Kelly. They also released starting RB DeMarco Murray, LB Alonzo and CB Maxwell while also spending most of their future draft picks on Division II QB, Carson Wentz, who won't be seeing much playing time this year. With HC Chip Kelly gone to San Francisco, the Eagles will implement a more traditional offense that plays at a regular pace and requires changes at the line of scrimmage. That will require Eagle's QBs Sam Bradford, Chase Daniels and Wentz to all learn a new offensive system! The Eagles are rebuilding- again- while Tampa Bay starts their second season behind QB Winston, who passed for over 4,000 yards in his rookie year and RB Doug Martin, who rushed for 1,400 yards. The Oddsmakers have the Eagles favored at home, but that's based on the high-octane Chip Kelly days, which are long gone. This new Philadelphia squad will need a few games to learn everything after coming off a losing 7-9 season. |
|||||||
08-29-15 | Cleveland Browns v. Tampa Bay Buccaneers -2.5 | Top | 31-7 | Loss | -105 | 21 h 58 m | Show |
The Browns haven't look good this Preseason, especially after the starters come out of the game. Cleveland's 0-2 while being held to 17 and 10 points in their first 2 games. Even worse, the offense hasn't moved the ball, combining for 170 offensive yards in Game #1 and 232 yards last weekend, with 3 Turnovers despite playing lower caliber teams like Buffalo and Washington. Tampa Bay comes off an impressive 25-11 victory in the home opener on Monday Night Football and expect them to want to build momentum with another victory just 4 days later in front of their home crowd to ring in the "Winston Era" at QB. The Bucs have already forced 6 Turnovers in their first 2 Preseason games and don't the Browns offense will have much success, especially after starting QB McCown is done for the night as back-up QB Manziel has a sore shoulder and their 3rd stringer was just picked up 3 days ago! |
|||||||
08-28-15 | New England Patriots v. Carolina Panthers | Top | 17-16 | Loss | -105 | 27 h 47 m | Show |
The Panthers have looked good on offense this Preseason. They're 2-0 in NFL-X after scoring 25 points (25-24) in their opener at Buffalo and then beating Miami 31-30 last week. They remain home to host the Patriots Friday and expect QBs Cam Newton and Derrick Anderson to get almost all of snaps in this 3rd Preseason game. Most teams use this 3rd game of the NFL-X as a test to see where they stand for the regular season since most of the starters won't play in the 4th, and final, Preseason game's next Thursday. However, with the Patriots coming off a Super Bowl winning season combined with star QB Brady getting a suspension, don't expect HC Bill Belichick to feel the need to win this game. It will be more important for HC Bilichick to walk away with no injuries, as his previous 1-6 ATS record in Preseason Game #3s indicates. Yo can bet that a win over the defending Champion Patriots in front of their home crowd is exactly what Panther's ownership wants. |
|||||||
08-23-15 | Green Bay Packers +2.5 v. Pittsburgh Steelers | Top | 19-24 | Loss | -106 | 15 h 3 m | Show |
Packers barely played their starters in their Preseason opener, but they still easily beat the Patriots, 22-11, while putting up over 400 offensive yards (133 rushing yards & 273 passing yards). They'll play at Pittsburgh Sunday against a Steelers crew playing their 3rd Preseason game. Pitt is 0-2 so far, losing to the Vikings and Jags, but that's NO shock as they're 1-9 ATS during their last 10 Preseason games! The Steelers have only scored 24 combined points while allowing 37 points, which is bad news as we expect Green Bay to look even better as the starters get more playing time this week, especially knowing that the Pack is 5-1 ATS in their 2nd Preseason game of the year behind HC McCarthy. |
|||||||
08-21-15 | Atlanta Falcons +1.5 v. NY Jets | Top | 22-30 | Loss | -105 | 12 h 58 m | Show |
The Jets host the Falcons for their 2nd Preseason game behind new Head Coach Todd Bowles. They lost their opener at Detroit, 23-3, in a game where the Jets had no offense- They were held to 67 rushing yards (3.0 yards per carry) and completed just 12 of 21 passes for 56 yards! This Jets team ended 2014 with only 4 wins (4-12 SU) and are learning new systems on both sides of the ball. While we expect to see improvement on Friday, the Jets will be more conservative knowing that their starting QB Geno Smith is out for 4 to 6 games. The Jets won't have enough improvement to beat a new Falcon's offense that looks explosive behind their new offensive coordinator, Kyle Shanahan. Atlanta won their opener, 31-24, while completing 21 of 28 passes for 254 passing yards. The Falcons are excited and bringing a winning attitude into this 2015 Preseason as they fight for their starting jobs behind new HC Dan Quinn, Seattle's defensive coordinator for both of their Super Bowl appearances. |
|||||||
08-15-15 | San Francisco 49ers v. Houston Texans -2.5 | Top | 10-23 | Win | 100 | 21 h 22 m | Show |
Houston starts their 2nd season behind HC Bill O'Brien. While they ended the season at 9-7, they improved towards the end of the year while going 4-1 SU & ATS during their final 5 games of 2014. With the off-season acquisition of former Brown's QB Brian Hoyer, expectations are HIGH in Houston for 2015. With Hoyer already knowing HC O'Brien's systems from their days together in New England and last year's QB Ryan Mallet competing for the starting job, Houston should own the offensive advantage over the 49ers. Toss in the fact that these 49ers are all learning the new systems behind new HC Jim Tomsula, who has big shoes to fill as he replaces HC Harbaugh (now at Michigan University). Word in Houston is that they're building a "winning culture" right out of the gate, so we're jumping on board at home this Saturday. |
|||||||
08-13-15 | New Orleans Saints v. Baltimore Ravens -3 | Top | 27-30 | Push | 0 | 55 h 23 m | Show |
The NFL Preseason is not about which team is more talented, but how the organization feels about the exhibition games. The Baltimore Ravens and their Head Coach, John Harbaugh, take these games serious and like to build a winning attitude right from the start. That can be seen by last year's 4-0 Preseason record as the Ravens opened the 2014 NFL-X games by beating the 49ers, 23-3. They went on to beat Dallas 37-30, Washington 23-17 and this Saint's team 22-13. We know that the Ravens own a 7-1 ATS record in their first Preseason game of the year behind HC Harbaugh and expect that to continue this Thursday against a Saints team that's trying to rebuild from a disappointing 7-9 2014 season. The Saints lost their All-Pro TE Jimmy Graham and leading WR Kenny Stills during the off-season and are more concerned with finding their replacements before their Regular season opener than winning Thursday's Preseason game on the road in Baltimore. |
|||||||
08-09-15 | Pittsburgh Steelers v. Minnesota Vikings -2.5 | Top | 3-14 | Win | 100 | 168 h 25 m | Show |
Viking's HC Mike Zimmer enters his 2nd season with Minnesota after a solid 2014 rookie season that his squad ened with an improved 7-9 record (5-10-1 previously in 2013), which included the defense allowing 9 points per game less. That all occurred with star RB Peterson suspended from the team and having rookie QB Bridgewater under center. Despite all that, Minnesota had a productive 2014 season that also included a 4-0 Preseason record. Yes, HC Zimmer wanted to build a "winning attitude" among the players, ownership and coaching staff right from the start. They were unbeaten during the exhibition season while beating Oakland 10-6, Arizona 30-28, Kansas City 30-12 and Tennessee 19-3. Now that the players know his offensive and defensive systems and RB Peterson returns, expect that "winning attitude" in 2015, right from the start of Sunday's "Hall of Fame" game in Canton, Ohio. Pittsburgh will be more interested in shoring up a defense that lost All-Pro CB Troy Polamalu, CB Ike Taylor and LB Jason Woods all to retirement and starting RB Le'Veon Bell to a 3 game suspension. Vikes looking at the Preseason like it's the Regular season. |
|||||||
08-24-14 | San Diego Chargers v. San Francisco 49ers -6 | Top | 7-21 | Win | 100 | 19 h 15 m | Show |
The Harbaugh brothers both coach the same way whether it's in Baltimore for John, or San Francisco for Jim- They believe a winning attitude builds winners, even during the Preseason. That especially holds true in exhibition week #3 when the starters get the most playing time they'll see in any Preseason game and we find these 49ers owning a 6-1 ATS during Week #3 action behind HC Harbaugh! With the Niners at 0-2 this Preseason, you can bet (and we will) that HC Jim Harbaugh feels this is a MUST WIN game to build momentum for the Regular season that starts in just 14 days for San Francisco at Dallas (September 7th). Take it to the bank, San Fran is 5-1 ATS off back-to-back Preseason losses and 4-1 SU following an exhibition loss behind HC Harbaugh. |
|||||||
08-23-14 | Minnesota Vikings +3.5 v. Kansas City Chiefs | Top | 30-12 | Win | 100 | 95 h 7 m | Show |
The Vikings fall into one of my favorite NFL Preseason Systems in this 3rd week of the exhibition season. Minnesota is a perfect 2-0 SU after winning back-to-back home games against Oakland and Arizona. They now head to Kansas City (1-1) for week #3 and we know that NFL road Dogs off 2 straight home wins are 30-11 ATS during Preseason play. Like Minnesota even more in this System as we find Kansas City at 1-7 ATS at home against a team that won back-to-back Preseason games. Take the points with Minnesota as they put up 30 points hosting a solid Arizona team last week while putting up solid offensive numbers, including 322 passing yards and another 117 rushing yards. With QBs Matt Cassel and rookie Teddy Bridgewater vying for the starting job, we're expecting another solid offensive effort throughout the entire game as they both take snaps under center. |
|||||||
08-22-14 | Chicago Bears v. Seattle Seahawks -7 | Top | 6-34 | Win | 100 | 73 h 10 m | Show |
Seattle is 1-1 after they notched their first win of the Preseason last Friday when beating the Chargers, 41-14, as our "Preseason Game of the Year." Seattle's Head Coach Pete Carroll likes to build a winning culture during exhibition play so it carries over to the Regular season. They win came at home at Century Link filed, where they own a 15-1 SU Regular season record during the last 2 years. You can be sure that these Seahawks don't want to drop to 1-2 and disappoint their home crowd with a home loss on Friday this early in the year- during Preseason no less! Lay the points knowing that Seattle is 8-0 ATS as exhibition Favorites behind HC Carroll. |
|||||||
08-17-14 | Kansas City Chiefs v. Carolina Panthers -3 | Top | 16-28 | Win | 100 | 11 h 12 m | Show |
Kansas City won their opener, 41-39, in a game that none of their defenses (1st team, back ups, etc) could stop their opponent from scoring. They allowed 180 rushing yards and another 196 passing yards to the Bengals in that game. Carolina lost to Buffalo by 2 points in their opener and now host Sunday Night Football knowing that Kansas City is now 2-14-1 ATS during their last 17 Preseason games. After their 12-4 record last year, expect HC Ron Rivera to want to open up the offense with his starters playing "almost a Half" against a Chiefs defense that was burned for 39 points just 9 days ago. |
|||||||
08-16-14 | Arizona Cardinals +3 v. Minnesota Vikings | Top | 28-30 | Win | 105 | 19 h 10 m | Show |
Arizona looked great in their Preseason opener, beating Houston 32-0, while amassing 326 passing yards an another 86 rushing. They'll head to Minnesota and face a Viking's team that had trouble scoring during their 10-6 victory over Oakland last week. It's no surprise that the Vikes offense will struggle without star RB Adrian Petersen playing every snap in exhibition games. Without Petersen's full services, we'll expect Arizona to take another exhibition game as they look to build on their exciting 10-6 SU ending to HC Bruce Arians' first season as their leader. |
|||||||
08-15-14 | San Diego Chargers v. Seattle Seahawks -6 | Top | 14-41 | Win | 100 | 46 h 17 m | Show |
Seattle lost their exhibition opener, 21-16, at Denver. That effort was better than it appeared as the Broncos have one of the most explosive and complicated offenses in the NFL and Seattle held them to just 158 passing yards. However, that loss was surprising because Seattle Head Coach Carroll comes from the college football ranks where a winning attitude is more important because the players are not paid to play and constantly need motivation. That "winning attitude" can be seen by HC Carroll's 7-2 ATS road record during Preseason play. Expect HC Carroll to not want to start the exhibition season with back-to-back losses after winning the Super Bowl last year, especially knowing that he's 7-0 ATS as a Preseason Favorite in his career as Seattle's Head Coach. Reports from Seattle say that the starters will get more snaps in Friday's second game and expect them to keep their home record in tact at Century Link field in front of their "13th man," even if it is an exhibition game. |
|||||||
08-09-14 | Cleveland Browns v. Detroit Lions -1 | Top | 12-13 | Push | 0 | 20 h 32 m | Show |
For a team that has won 5 or less games for 4 straight years, including a 4-12 ending to 2013, the Browns are getting a lot of media attention due to drafting QB "Johnny Football" Manziel. Insiders report that QB manziel is still learning his new Playbook and starting QB Hoyer is going to see limited action, especially after hurting his ACL and only playing in 3 games last year. Even with all the attention on their QBs, the Browns have a horrible receiving corp now that leading WR Josh Gordon is suspended. The running game is no different as the Browns look to find their starter from 3 young RBs in camp. A new QB, a new Head Coach in Mike Pettine, and new systems on both sides of that ball is too much to overcome on the road in your FIRST game of the season. MUST back the Lions at home, as they're now under Head Coach Jim Caldwell, who has successfully worked with QBs Peyton Manning and Joe Flacco. Detroit averaged 25 points per game last season and have too much talent that can handle a team like the Browns who are in "learning mode." |
|||||||
08-08-14 | Miami Dolphins v. Atlanta Falcons -3 | Top | 10-16 | Win | 100 | 11 h 33 m | Show |
After an impressive 14-4 season for Atlanta in 2012, they fell hard to end last year at 4-12, the worst year by far during HC Mike Smith's 7 years on the job. These Falcons were projected to win the NFC South before last season and it was shocking to most people when they only won 4 games in 2013. Their troubles started early last Preseason when they posted an 0-4 SU exhibition season. Now that everyone from the management, coaching staff and the players are on the hot seat and fighting for their jobs, you can be sure that Falcon's HC Smith wants to set a winning attitude from Day 1. That starts on Friday's home opener against Miami. The public knows that Atlanta is 1-8 ATS at home in the Preseason behind HC Smith and will be backing Miami, but we'll side with the bookies Friday knowing that a Falcon's win- even a meaningless exhibition win- will help turn a sinking ship around. |
|||||||
08-07-14 | Indianapolis Colts v. NY Jets -3 | Top | 10-13 | Push | 0 | 29 h 17 m | Show |
Despite back-to-back non-Playoff seasons, loudmouth Jet's Head Coach Ryan is talking Super Bowl once again in 2015. A few years ago the Jets owned one of the best defenses in the NFL, but after losing "Reavis Island" (CB Darrel Reavis) they fell apart. They finally put it together last year as NY led the NFL by allowing only 3.4 yards per rush and ranked #4 in red-zone defense. They have also added QB Mike Vick to join 2nd year QB Geno Smith and their running game ranked #6 in the NFL in rushing yards at 134.9 yards per game last year. HC Ryan will want to showcase his new team in front of his home fans on Thursday, knowing that he was 2-0 SU & ATS at home during last year's Preseason games! Jets get home win as Colts give extremely limited playing time to star QB Luck in their opener. |
|||||||
08-03-14 | NY Giants v. Buffalo Bills -1 | Top | 17-13 | Loss | -120 | 41 h 14 m | Show |
New York Giants Head Coach Coughlin enters his 10th season as the team's leader and doesn't put too much stock into the Preseason. That can be seen by the G-Men's 1-3 SU exhibition record in BOTH 2012 and 2013 under HC Coughlin. He was quoted in an ESPN interview about their opening Preseason game on Sunday by stating his "starters would get minimal snaps." HC Coughlin knows that winning doesn't matter in Preseason, but getting his backup players and rookies much needed game experience and cutting the roster down correctly is what is important. That's the opposite thinking in Buffalo, where QB EJ Manuel and WR Robert Woods have their rookie seasons behind them and wants to show he is now a veteran leader, while 1st round draft choice, Sammy Watkins, wants to show his new teammates and fans that he's an explosive addition to his team and that he can make it in the NFL. The Giants are working out issues on their offensive line, so expect the Bills defense to dominate on Sunday's Hall of Fame game. All reports have indicated that this Bills defense is making plays and looking stingy. Bills HC Doug Marrone needs his young Bills crew need this opening win to build confidence. |
|||||||
08-24-13 | Cleveland Browns +2.5 v. Indianapolis Colts | Top | 6-27 | Loss | -110 | 43 h 10 m | Show |
The new Browns ownership and coaching staff have realized that winning is IMPORTANT in Cleveland, regardless if it's the exhibition or regular season! They've opened the preseason at 2-0, beating the Rams 27-19 followed by a 24-6 home win over Detriot. The entire city having high expectations of 2nd year players QB Weeden and RB Richardson while expecting a Playoff bid. Expect the "winning mirage" to continue this Saturday in Indianapolis as the Browns defense is playing starters for most of the game, holding the Lions to just 51 rushing yards and 166 passing yards! The fans, and more importantly, the players believe in the new ownership and coaches, so backing the Browns to continue this preseason roll as our NFL System tells us that road teams off back-to-back home wins are 27-9 ATS during the exhibition season.

08-23-13 | Seattle Seahawks -2 v. Green Bay Packers | Top | 17-10 | Win | 100 | 20 h 12 m | Show |
Why is Seattle a road favorite at Green Bay? Well, it's no shock that Seattle opened the Preseason at 2-0 SU & ATS, as they're now 7-0 SU & ATS during their last 7 exhibition games behind Head Coach Carroll. HC Carroll comes from the College Football ranks, during his days with the USC Trojans, and he believes in "a winning attitude" and building team momentum. He's carried that College attitude over to Seattle in the NFL and his players are taking to his style. After going 11-5 SU last season and getting a Playoff win over Washington, his Seattle team has more depth than 99% of the teams in the NFL, allowing his back-ups to compete on a first string level, maybe that's why he's won both exhibition games in BIG fashion, winning 31-10 and 40-10! Lay the points as HC Carroll won't want the momentum built from the 2-0 start to be lost if they were to lose to a Playoff-caliber team like the Packers.

08-17-13 | Tennessee Titans +2.5 v. Cincinnati Bengals | Top | 19-27 | Loss | -105 | 33 h 53 m | Show |
Cincinnati comes off an impressive 34-10 victory in Week #1's action. They're small favorites hosting Tennessee knowing that Preseason favorites that have not lost a preseason game yet are a money burning 23-52 ATS. The Titans lost by 1 point, 22-21, in their preseason opener, but we find them at an incredible 14-1 ATS as preseason Dogs facing a team that won and covered their previous game! The Titans played too good to lose their first game, expect them to get their first victory on Saturday night.

08-16-13 | San Francisco 49ers +1.5 v. Kansas City Chiefs | Top | 15-13 | Win | 100 | 10 h 6 m | Show |
Kansas City comes off a 17-13 loss to New Orleans that was much worse than the final scores indicates. K.C. allowed the Saints to gain 427 yards (compared to KC's 205 offensive yards), including 308 yards passing- Those are some big numbers for the first preseason game of the year. They now face the 49ers, one of the deepest defenses in the NFL, that just held Denver to 10 points last weekend, during a 10-6 loss. Expect another solid defensive effort on Friday from the Niners, especially as we find KC at 0-9 ATS during their last 9 as preseason favorites.

08-15-13 | Atlanta Falcons +5 v. Baltimore Ravens | Top | 23-27 | Win | 100 | 17 h 54 m | Show |
Atlanta opened the preseason with a horrible 34-10 home loss to Cincinnati. Don't make too much of that first game loss as these Falcons rested starters for the majority of that game and are now 2-8 ATS at home behind HC Smith. They hot the road for Baltimore on Thursday knowing that the defending Super Bowl Champion Ravens opened their preseason with a solid 44-16 "title defending" victory over Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay played their back-ups while turning the ball over 4 times! Don't expect the Ravens to get the same advantages this Thursday, especially knowing they're 1-5 ATS off a 10 point or more preseason win behind HC Harbaugh.

08-09-13 | NY Jets v. Detroit Lions -3.5 | Top | 17-26 | Win | 100 | 7 h 29 m | Show |
The Jets are 0-4 ATS in their first preseason game of the season behind HC Rex Ryan. Ryan opens the 2013 season not knowing who his starting QB is, and he's more worried about watching QBs Geno Smith and Mark Sanchez getting to know the new offensive system behind newly hired Offensive Coordinator, Marty Mornhinweg, after firing former OC Tony Sparano. Insiders at Jets training camps report that the offense is going through growing pains and that the Jets will only be using 50% of their new playbook. We'll expect Detroit to take advantage of this inexperienced squad.
