Cappers Sports Picks - The Experts

7* Suns/Clippers Game 3 *HEAVY HITTER* on Los Angeles ML +101

The Key: The Los Angeles Clippers were down 2 games to 0 against both the Mavericks and Jazz and not only came back to win Game 3 both times, but also to win the series both times.  They have been here before and won't be phased.  Now the Clippers will rely on their home-court advantage where they have gone 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home games and 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games as home underdogs.  Take Los Angeles.

7* Hawks/Bucks Game 1 *HEAVY HITTER* on Atlanta +8

The Key: The Atlanta Hawks have done their best work on the road in these playoffs.  They are 5-2 SU & 5-2 ATS on the road this postseason including 3 outright wins at Philadelphia last series.  This 8-point spread is too high for Game 1 of this series with the Bucks, who have been able to advantage but have been shaky in the process, especially offensively.  The Hawks won their final matchup of the season with the Bucks outright as 6-point home dogs.  And they have been a different team with Nate McMillan as head coach.  They have a great chance to steal Game 1 tonight just as they did against both the Knicks and 76ers in their first two Game 1's.  The Bucks are 0-7 ATS in their last 7 home games against a team with a losing road record.  The Hawks are 12-3 ATS in their last 15 matchups in Milwaukee.  Take Atlanta.

7* MLB *MOUND MISMATCH* on Chicago White Sox -158

The Key: The Chicago White Sox feast on left-handed pitching as they have gone 33-5 against southpaw starters since the beginning of the 2020 season.  They come in hungry for a win after dropping all 4 games to the Astros last series.  And they take on a Pirates team they should handle in this series starting with Game 1 tonight.  The Pirates have lost 11 of their last 13 games.  Lefty Tyler Anderson sports a 4.89 ERA in his 13 starts this year.  Lucas Giolito has been on his game for a couple months now with one run or fewer yielded in 5 of his last 9 starts.  Take Chicago.

7* NL Game of the Week on Milwaukee Brewers -114

The Key: The Arizona Diamondbacks are 2-31 in their last 33 games and 0-17 in their last 17 games.  They haven't won a game since June 1st.  Yet they continue getting some respect from the books when they shouldn't be today.  Arizona starter Merrill Kelly is 2-7 with a 5.40 ERA in 14 starts this year, 0-1 with a 7.07 ERA in his last 3 starts, and 0-1 with an 8.71 ERA in his last 2 starts against Milwaukee.  Brett Anderson sports a decent 4.24 ERA in 11 starts for the Brewers this year.  Take Milwaukee.

7* Hawks/76ers Game 7 *HEAVY HITTER* on UNDER 216

The Key: The UNDER definitely makes sense in Game 7 here.  This has become an even lower scoring series as the games have gone one.  They combined for 203 points in Game 4, 215 in Game 5 and 203 in Game 6.  The Hawks are 16-1 UNDER in their last 17 playoff games when trying to close out the series.  Take the UNDER.

7* Bucks/Nets Game 7 *HEAVY HITTER* on Milwaukee +2

The Key: The Milwaukee Bucks have won 3 of the last 4 matchups in this series.  They have essentially won 7 of 8 halves as well with the only exception being Kevin Durant going off in the 2nd half of Game 5 to bring the Nets back from 17 points down to win.  The Nets just shouldn't be favored over the Bucks without Kyrie Irving and with a 50% James Harden.  The Bucks get over the hump with a Game 7 victory tonight.  Take Milwaukee.

7* 76ers/Hawks Game 6 *HEAVY HITTER* on Philadelphia -2.5

The Key: The Philadelphia 76ers have let the Hawks off the hook in the last 2 games losing each by 3 points apiece.  That includes a 26-point blown lead in Game 5.  Now we will get their biggest effort of the year tonight to try and stave off elimination.  And this young Hawks team isn't ready to win a huge close out game like this just yet.  I like the price with the 76ers as they go from being 7-point favorites in Game 5 to just 2.5-point favorites in Game 6.  Take Philadelphia.

7* Nets/Bucks Game 6 *HEAVY HITTER* on Milwaukee -5.5

The Key: Kevin Durant had a career game in Game 5 in leading the Nets back from 17 points down to pull the upset over the Bucks.  Now Milwaukee is back home where they will be a lot more comfortable and I don't think Durant can shoulder the entire load again and keep the Nets competitive.  Kyrie Irving is still out and it's clear James Harden is a shell of himself after going just 1-for-10 from the field in Game 5.  Take Milwaukee.

7* Hawks/76ers Game 5 *HEAVY HITTER* on Philadelphia -7

The Key: The Philadelphia 76ers have one of the best home-court advantages in the NBA.  They are 33-8 at home this year and will win in this pivotal Game 5 tonight.  Joel Embiid isn't going to have only 4 field goals and go 0 for 12 in the 2nd half again like he did in Game 4 when the 76ers still had a chance to win in closing seconds.  He'll play better, and the role players will play better in front of their home fans tonight.  Take Philadelphia.

7* Bucks/Nets Game 5 *HEAVY HITTER* on Milwaukee -4

The Key: The Brooklyn Nets are in a world of hurt right now with the injuries to Harden and Irving.  They now have to ask Kevin Durant to do too much.  The Bucks are too good of a team to let one player like Durant beat them.  And they are hungry to prove that they are NBA title contenders.  That showed in their gutsy Game 3 win followed by an 11-point win in Game 4 with their backs against the wall.  Now they will grab a stranglehold on this series with a Game 5 victory on the road.  Take Milwaukee.

7* 76ers/Hawks Game 4 *HEAVY HITTER* on Atlanta +3

The Key: The price is right to back the Atlanta Hawks as 3-point home dogs tonight.  They were just 1.5-point home dogs in Game 3 so there has been an adjustment here.  The 76ers shot 58.2% from the floor and 47.6% from 3 in Game 3 and that is unlikely to happen again.  It's also unlikely the Hawks shoot as poorly as they did in Game 3 as they made only 6 3-pointers at a 26.1% clip.  Remember, they cashed 20 3's in Game 1.  Philadelphia is 3-11 ATS off 2 consecutive covers as a favorite this year.  The 76ers are 13-27-2 ATS in their last 42 road games against a team with a winning home record.  The Hawks are 20-7 ATS in their last 27 home games.  The Hawks are 50-23 ATS in their last 73 games off a double-digit home loss.  Take Atlanta.

7* Nets/Bucks Game 4 *HEAVY HITTER* on Milwaukee +2.5

The Key: I like the price we are getting on the Milwaukee Bucks as home underdogs in Game 4 after they were just 3.5-point favorites in Game 3 at home. They won by 3 and now this is a 6-point adjustment. The Bucks still haven't shot the ball to their capability in this series and it's coming sooner rather than later. Take Milwaukee.

7* Jazz/Clippers Game 3 *HEAVY HITTER* on Los Angeles -4.5

The Key: The Clippers are in a must-win situation at home after losing the first 2 games in this series in Salt Laker City by a combined 9 points. Now they are back home and should give a big effort and cover this short number tonight. Take Los Angeles.

7* 76ers/Hawks Game 3 *HEAVY HITTER* on Philadelphia -1

The Key: The Philadelphia 76ers are the better team in this series and have the best player in Joel Embiid. He is clearly healthy now after backing up his 39-point effort in Game 1 with a 40-point effort in Game 2. The Hawks have no answer for him, and the players around him are pretty damn good this season. The Hawks shot the lights out in Game 1 but came back down to reality in Game 2. It should be more of the same here in Game 3 as the 76ers take control of this series with a victory. Take Philadelphia.

7* Clippers/Jazz Game 2 *HEAVY HITTER* on Los Angeles +3.5

The Key: The Clippers are now 3-1 SU & 4-0 ATS on the road in these playoffs.  They beat the Mavericks by 10, 25 and 7 points before losing by just 3 to the Jazz in Game 1.  They will come back hungry in Game 2 and should get the outright victory, but we'll take the 3.5 points for some insurance.  The Clippers are 15-5 ATS in their last 20 road games off a loss by 6 points or less.  Los Angeles is 32-16 ATS in its last 48 games off a road loss.  The Clippers are 40-24 ATS in their last 64 games when avenging a same-season loss.  Take Los Angeles.

7* Interleague Game of the Month on New York Mets -125

The Key: The New York Mets have a big edge on the rubber tonight over the Baltimore Orioles.  Taijuan Walker is 4-2 with a 2.17 ERA and 1.06 WHIP in 10 starts for the Mets.  Matt Harvey is 3-6 with a 6.62 ERA and 1.61 WHIP in 12 starts for the Orioles.  Harvey is 0-4 with a 12.96 ERA in his last 5 starts while yielding 24 earned runs in 16 2/3 innings.  Take New York.

7* American League Game of the Month on Chicago White Sox -141

The Key: The Chicago White Sox are 28-4 against left-handed starters over the last 2 years.  Their next victim will be lefty Robbie Ray and the Toronto Blue Jays tonight.  Carlos Rodon goes for the White Sox and is 5-2 with a 1.98 ERA and 0.82 WHIP with 80 strikeouts in 54 2/3 innings this year.  Rodon sports a 2.70 ERA and 1.05 WHIP in 2 lifetime starts against the Blue Jays.  Take Chicago.

7* Bucks/Nets Game 2 *HEAVY HITTER* on Milwaukee +1.5

The Key: The Milwaukee Bucks are 12-3 in their last 15 games overall.  They are 5-0 SU in their last 5 games following a loss.  They haven't lost 2 games in a row since April 17-19.  They will bounce back following a bad loss in Game 1 in which James Harden went out early, but they only connected on 6 of 30 3-pointers for a 20% clip.  Harden remains out for Game 2 and I fully expect the Bucks to take advantage and tie this series.  Take Milwaukee.

7* Mavs/Clippers Game 7 *Total* Annihilator on UNDER 210

The Key: Game 7's always tend to be lower scoring because there is so much at stake and by that point both teams are very familiar with one another, which favors defense.  The UNDER is 3-0 in the last 3 matchups in this series with combined scores of 187, 205 and 201 points.  Take the UNDER.

7* Bucks/Nets Game 1 *HEAVY HITTER* on Milwaukee +4

The Key: The Bucks just outscored the Heat by 82 points in 4 games in their sweep last series.  The Heat are a much better team than the Boston Celtics, who the Nets just beat in 5 games.  The Bucks have owned the Nets over the years and won 2 of 3 matchups this year with their lone loss coming by just 2 points.  The Bucks are 29-11-1 ATS in the last 41 matchups and 16-4-1 ATS in the last 21 matchups in Brooklyn.  Take Milwaukee.

7* Clippers/Mavs Game 6 *HEAVY HITTER* on Los Angeles -2.5

The Key: I like the Clippers to continue the trend of the road team in this series.  The road team has won and covered all 5 games between the Clippers and Mavericks.  Los Angeles is now 8-2 ATS in its last 10 trips to Dallas.  Luka Doncic had a huge Game 5 and has had much bigger games on the road than at home.  The Clippers have won their 2 road matchups with the Mavericks by a combined 35 points in this series.  Take Los Angeles.

7* NBA 1st Round Total of the Year on Suns/Lakers UNDER 207.5

The Key: This has been a low-scoring series between the Suns and Lakers, who are 2 of the best defensive teams in the NBA.  The Suns and Lakers have combined for 200, 192, 204, 211 and 189 points in their 5 games in this series thus far.  Oddsmakers have set the number too high again here in Game 6 with a 207.5-point total.  The UNDER is 4-0-1 in the last 5 matchups.  The UNDER is 8-0-1 in Suns last 9 Conference Quarterfinals games.  The UNDER is 16-4-2 in Lakers last 22 games against a team that wins more than 60% of their games.  Take the UNDER.

7* Grizzlies/Jazz Game 5 *HEAVY HITTER* on Memphis +9.5

The Key: The Grizzlies are in a win-or-go-home game tonight against the Utah Jazz.  They will give their best effort and it should be good enough to cover this 9.5-point spread.  Take Memphis.

7* Blazers/Nuggets Game 5 *HEAVY HITTER* on Portland +2

The Key: The Portland Trail Blazers have now won 12 of their last 16 games overall with 10 wins by double-digits.  They are playing so well right now and should not be the underdogs to the Denver Nuggets in this pivotal Game 5.  The Blazers are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 road games.  Take Portland.

7* Jazz/Grizzlies Game 4 *HEAVY HITTER* on Memphis +6

The Key: The Memphis Grizzlies will be hungry for a victory in Game 4 after blowing a late lead to the Utah Jazz in Game 3.  They have shown they can play with the Jazz in this series, even with a healthy Donovan Mitchell.  And the situation favors the Grizzlies tonight as they will be the hungrier team with their season basically on the line here.  Take Memphis.

7* Suns/Lakers Game 4 *HEAVY HITTER* on Phoenix +6.5

The Key: I like the price we are getting on the Phoenix Suns in Game 4 tonight.  The Suns are 11-4 ATS in their last 15 games off a loss.  Phoenix is 22-8 ATS in its last 30 games off an ATS loss.  The Lakers are 3-13 ATS in their last 16 games off a win.  Los Angeles is 0-7 ATS in its last 7 games off a win by more than 10 points.  Take Phoenix.

7* Nuggets/Blazers Game 4 *HEAVY HITTER* on Portland -4.5

The Key: The Portland Trail Blazers will be hungry for a win at home in Game 4 to even this series.  The Nuggets made 20 3-pointers and shot them at better than 50% in Game 3 and that's unlikely to happen again.  The Blazers should get better performances from everyone outside Damian Lillard, who is playing as well as anyone in the playoffs.  Take Portland.

7* NBA 1st Round Game of the Year on Los Angeles Clippers -2.5

The Key: The Clippers are in a must-win here in Game 3.  They will be the hungrier team after getting upset in each of the first 2 games of this series at home.  But the Mavericks couldn't have shot better in both games and that is unlikely to happen again given how good of a defensive team the Clippers are.  The Clippers have also had great success on the road in this series going 6-2 ATS in the last 8 matchups in Dallas.  Now we get them as only 2.5-point favorites in Game 3 after being 7-point favorites in Game 2.  Take Dallas.

7* Bucks/Heat Game 3 *HEAVY HITTER* on Miami +2

The Key: It's do or die for the Miami Heat in Game 3 tonight after dropping the first 2 games of this series in Milwaukee.  The Heat will have one of the best home-court advantages in these playoffs as they will have over 17,000 fans in attendance with the light restrictions in Miami.  It will pay off as they play a great game here similar to Game 1.  Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo and company won't go away quietly.  The Heat are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 home matchups with the Bucks.  Take Miami.

7* Wizards/76ers Game 2 *HEAVY HITTER* on Washington +8.5

The Key: The Washington Wizards have only lost one game by more than 7 points in their last 23 games coming into this Game 2 showdown with the 76ers.  They have faced the 76ers 4 times already this season and only once did they lose by more than 7 points.  This is too many points for the Wizards tonight.  Take Washington.

7* Lakers/Suns Game 2 *HEAVY HITTER* on Los Angeles -1.5

The Key: The Los Angeles Lakers will take Game 2 tonight to even this series with the Phoenix Suns.  They did not play well at all in Game 1, especially Anthony Davis, and they are primed for a bounce back.  The Lakers had won 6 straight prior to that defeat.  They are 9-4-1 ATS in their last 14 games off a loss.  Take Los Angeles.

7* Heat/Bucks Game 2 *HEAVY HITTER* on Miami +4.5

The Key: The Miami Heat are 12-5 SU & 13-4 ATS in their last 17 games overall.  They have been in playoff mode for over a month and are back to playing like they did last season when they made the run to the NBA Finals.  They lost by 2 in OT to the Bucks in Game 1 and will be looking to avenge that defeat tonight.  The Heat are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game.  Miami is 6-1 ATS in its last 7 road games.  Milwaukee is 1-7 ATS in its last 8 games as a favorite.  The Heat are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 trips to Milwaukee.  Take Miami.

7* Grizzlies/Jazz Game 1 *HEAVY HITTER* on Memphis +9

The Key: The Utah Jazz won't be hitting on all cylinders after having a week off and now trying to get used to playing with both Donovan Mitchell and Mike Conley again.  This line is simply too wide.  The Grizzlies are in a rhythm right now and playing with confidence after disposing of the Spurs and Warriors in win-or-go-home situations.  They are now 7-1 SU in their last 8 games and playing as well as they have all season, largely due to being healthy finally.  Take Memphis.

7* Blazers/Nuggets Game 1 *HEAVY HITTER* on Portland +1

The Key: The Portland Trail Blazers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 matchups with the Nuggets including their 132-116 win in the regular season finale.  The Blazers are 10-2 SU in their last 12 games overall.  They will beat the Nuggets without Jamal Murray and Will Barton.  Take Portland.

7* Grizzlies/Warriors ESPN *HEAVY HITTER* on Memphis +4.5

The Key: I like the price we are getting on the Memphis Grizzlies tonight as this game should be lined closer to a pick 'em.  The Grizzlies have gotten healthy down the stretch and are playing their best basketball of the season.  They are 6-1 SU in their last 7 games overall.  Now they will be looking to avenge that lone defeat, which came at Golden State in the regular season finale.  The Warriors are missing several of their best players in Oubre Jr., Wiseman and Thompson.  They simply rely too much on Curry.  They suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Lakers and will have a hangover from that defeat, while the Grizzlies come in with a ton of confidence after a close win over the Spurs.  The Grizzlies are 9-1 ATS off 3 or more consecutive unders this season.  The Grizzlies are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games as underdogs.  Take Memphis.

7* Pacers/Wizards TNT *HEAVY HITTER* on OVER 236.5

The Key: The Pacers and Wizards have played in 3 shootouts this year.  They have combined for 256, 295 and 265 points in their 3 matchups.  So this 236.5-point total has not been set high enough.  Indiana is 7-0 OVER when playing against a team that wins between 40% and 49% of their games this year.  The OVER is 10-3 in Pacers last 13 games overall.  The OVER is 19-7 in Pacers last 26 road games.  The OVER is 11-1 in Wizards last 12 games against a team with a losing record.  The OVER is 4-1-1 in the last 5 matchups.  Take the OVER.

7* Spurs/Grizzlies ESPN *Total* Annihilator on UNDER 223.5

The Key: I'm taking the UNDER in this winner-take-all game between the Spurs and Grizzlies tonight.  Both teams will be locked in defensively with their season on the line.  And I expect the pressure to affect them both offensively as these are 2 teams not used to playoff pressure.  Memphis is 12-1 UNDER in its last 13 home games when playing only its 2nd game in 5 days.  The UNDER is 4-1 in Spurs last 5 games playing on 2 days' rest.  The UNDER is 37-15 in Grizzlies last 52 home games.  The UNDER is 6-1 in Grizzlies last 7 games overall.  Take the UNDER.

7* Hornets/Pacers NBA *HEAVY HITTER* on Charlotte +3

The Key: The Charlotte Hornets come into this game catching points with the Pacers due to going 0-5 in their last 5 games overall.  But they were close to winning 4 of those 5 games against great competition with all 4 losses either by 5 points or less or in OT to the Pelicans, Nuggets, Clippers, Knicks and Wizards.  They are battle-tested now and as healthy as they have been for a long time entering the playoffs.  The Pacers are far from healthy.  Lamb, Turner and Warren are out while Sabonis, Brogdon, Holiday and Sumner are all questionable.  The Hornets won 108-105 at home and 114-97 on the road in their final 2 matchups with the Pacers this year.  Indiana is 8-20 ATS in its last 28 games as a home favorite.  The Pacers are 0-8 ATS in their last 8 playoff games.  The Hornets are 21-7-1 ATS in their last 29 road games against a team with a losing home record.  Take Charlotte.

7* National League *HEAVY HITTER* on Cincinnati Reds -130

The Key: The Cincinnati Reds have a big edge on the rubber tonight over the San Francisco Giants. Sonny Gray sports a 3.55 ERA in his 5 starts this year with 36 strikeouts in 25 1/3 innings. Gray has been at his best at home with a 1.59 ERA in 2 starts in Cincinnati. Logan Webb is 2-3 with a 4.86 ERA in 7 starts for the Giants. Webb has been at his worst on the road with a 7.58 ERA in 4 starts away from home. Gray is 2-0 with a 3.00 ERA in 3 lifetime starts against the Giants. The Reds are 9-2 in their last 11 home matchups with San Francisco. Take Cincinnati.

7* NBA Eastern Conference Game of the Month on Washington Wizards -6

The Key: The Charlotte Hornets are a tired team right now. They will be playing their 10th game in 16 days in the month of May. They are coming off an OT loss to the Knicks last night in which several players played over 30 minutes, including two over 40 minutes. Now they will be playing for a 2nd consecutive day while the Washington Wizards had Saturday off. The Wizards are 18-4 ATS in their last 22 games when playing with one day of rest in between games. Take Washington.

7* NBA Situational *SLAM DUNK* on Charlotte Hornets +5.5

The Key: The Charlotte Hornets are still going hard to try and get the 8th seed instead of the 9th or 10th because there is a big advantage to doing so. They are battling it out with the Pacers and Wizards for that 8th spot right now. The Hornets are getting healthy just in time for the playoffs as well as they are only missing Hayward and Martin now. The Knicks don't have a ton to play for right now other than seeding as they are going to be the 4th, 5th or 6th which isn't a huge difference. The Hornets are 14-4 ATS in their last 18 games off a loss by more than 10 points. Take Charlotte.

7* NBA Total of the Month on Kings/Grizzlies UNDER 226.5

The Key: The Kings and Grizzlies just played last night with Memphis winning 116-110 for 226 combined points. They are now familiar with each other and tired. They won't combine for more than 226 points in the rematch tonight. Take the UNDER.

7* NBA Non-Conference *HEAVY HITTER* on New York Knicks -5

The Key: The New York Knicks are 17-3 ATS in their last 20 games overall.  They are coming off an overtime loss to the Lakers on Tuesday and had Wednesday off.  They will bounce back tonight against a tired San Antonio Spurs team that will be playing for a 2nd consecutive day after a tough 116-128 shootout loss to the Nets last night.  The Spurs will also be playing their 5th game in 7 days and their 8th game in 12 days.  Take New York.

7* Blazers/Jazz ESPN *HEAVY HITTER* on Portland +2

The Key: The Portland Trail Blazers are 8-1 in their last 9 games with 7 wins by 10 points or more.  Now they face a Utah Jazz team that will be without 2 of their best players in Donovan Mitchell and Mike Conley.  The wrong team is favored in this matchup.  Take Portland.

7* NBA Western Conference *HEAVY HITTER* on Dallas Mavericks -1.5

The Key: The Mavericks have a lot to play for right now in terms of playoff positioning and it has shown here the last few weeks.  They are 10-2 SU in their last 12 games overall.  The Grizzlies are a tired team right now as they have not had 2 days off in a row since the All-Star Break.  They just beat the Pelicans by 5 last night and will be playing for a 2nd consecutive day.  It will be their 5th game in 7 days and their 11th game in 17 days.  The Mavericks have won 3 straight matchups with the Grizzlies by an average of 12 PPG.  Take Dallas.

7* NBA Non-Conference *HEAVY HITTER* on Milwaukee Bucks -6.5

The Key: The Bucks have won 5 straight games to get to within 0.5 games of the Brooklyn Nets for 2nd place in the East.  Whoever gets the #2 seed will likely host the other team in the 2nd round, so it's a big deal.  The Bucks are rested now coming in on 2 days' rest.  They should make easy work of the Spurs, who are 1-6 SU in their last 7 games overall and will be playing their 6th game in 9 days.  Milwaukee is 30-11 ATS in its last 41 games as a road favorite of 6.5 to 12 points.  The Spurs are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 home games against a team with a winning road record.  Take Milwaukee.

7* NBA Situational *SLAM DUNK* on Chicago Bulls -8.5

The Key: The Bulls just got back both Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic 2 games ago.  It's no surprise they are coming off 2 of their best games of the season with a 120-99 win in Charlotte followed by a 121-99 home win over the Celtics on the 2nd of a back-to-back.  Now the Bulls are rested having yesterday off and should make easy work of the Detroit Pistons, who will be playing for a 2nd consecutive day after losing by 14 to the 76ers yesterday.  It will also be the 5th game in 7 days for the Pistons.  Detroit is missing so many key players right now due to injury as well.  The Bulls are 14-6 ATS in their last 20 games against a team with a losing record.  Chicago is 10-1 ATS in its last 11 Sunday games.  The Bulls are 6-0 ATS in the last 6 matchups.  Take Chicago.

7* Spurs/Blazers NBA *BAILOUT* on Portland -6

The Key: The Blazers have won 6 of their last 7 games by an average of 18.7 PPG.  The Spurs have to fly to Portland tonight after beating the Kings in Sacramento last night.  That was their first win in their last 6 games and the Kings were short-handed.  Now they face a fully healthy Blazers team that should blow them out of the building.  The Spurs haven't had consecutive days off since the All-Star Break.  They are as tired as any team in the NBA right now and the Blazers will test those tired legs tonight.  Take Portland.

7* NBA Non-Conference Game of the Month on Minnesota Timberwolves +6.5

The Key: The Minnesota Timberwolves haven't lost any of their last 8 games by more than 4 points, which makes for an 8-0 angle backing them with this 6.5-point spread tonight.  They are finishing the season strong and will continue to do so against the Miami Heat tonight.  They just upset the Heat 119-111 at home as 7-point dogs on April 16.  They may not have to face Jimmy Butler, who is questionable tonight with the flu.  The Timberwolves are 9-2-1 ATS in their last 12 games off a SU loss.  The Heat are 7-18-2 ATS in their last 27 games off a SU loss.  The Timberwolves are 4-0-1 ATS in the last 5 matchups.  Take Minnesota.

7* Nets/Mavericks TNT *HEAVY HITTER* on Dallas +4

The Key: The Brooklyn Nets are 0-3 SU & 0-3 ATS in their last 4 games overall and should not be road favorites against the Dallas Mavericks.  The Mavericks are 7-2 SU in their last 9 games overall and coming off a 14-point win at Miami.  The Mavericks beat the Nets 115-98 on the road in their first matchup this year.  Brooklyn is 1-8 ATS in road games after scoring 105 points or more in 5 straight games this year.  Take Dallas.

7* NBA Situational *SLAM DUNK* on Indiana Pacers -6

The Key: The Indiana Pacers are hungry to make the playoffs.  They won't be taking the Sacramento Kings lightly today.  And they are in the more favorable situation after having yesterday off, while the Kings just escaped with a 103-99 win at Oklahoma City yesterday.  Now the Kings will be playing for a 2nd consecutive day and their 7th game in 11 days.  They will for sure be without their top 2 guards in Fox and Haliburton and could be without both Barnes and Metu.  The Kings are 0-8-1 ATS in their last 9 games against a team with a losing record.  The Pacers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as favorites.  The Kings are 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 trips to Indiana.  Take Indiana.

7* NBA Situational *SLAM DUNK* on New Orleans Pelicans -2

The Key: The Pelicans will be seeking to avenge their 15-point loss to the Warriors last night.  They made just 5 3-pointers for the entire game and shot them at 20%.  They will improve on those numbers and it will be the difference in the rematch.  The Warriors are 8-22-1 ATS in their last 31 games when playing for a 2nd consecutive day.  Take New Orleans.

7* NBA Situational *SLAM DUNK* on Memphis Grizzlies -2.5

The Key: I like the price we are getting on the Memphis Grizzlies.  They will be hungry tonight after dropping 3 of their last 4 games.  They will want to avenge their OT loss in early April to the Knocks on the road as well.  The Knicks will be playing for the 2nd consecutive day after winning against the lowly Rockets in Houston last night.  The Grizzlies are 11-3 ATS in their last 14 home games.  Take Memphis.

7* NBA Situational *SLAM DUNK* on Sacramento Kings +7

The Key: No game report Sunday.

7* Raptors/Jazz NBA *BAILOUT* on Toronto +7.5

The Key: The Toronto Raptors are hungry to make the playoffs and are 5-3 SU & 5-3 ATS in their last 8 games while making a late-season run.  Their only 3 losses all came to contenders in the Nets, Nuggets and Knicks.  The Jazz aren't a contender in their current state without Donovan Mitchell and Mike Conley.  The Jazz are 6-11 ATS in their last 17 games.  They have lost 3 of their last 4 games with 2 of those coming as double-digit favorites to the Timberwolves.  They also lost by 21 to the Suns last night and will now be playing for a 2nd consecutive day while the Raptors had yesterday off.  The Jazz are 1-10 ATS in their last 11 games after trailing in their previous game by 15 points or more at halftime.  Take Toronto.

7* Jazz/Suns Western Conference *HEAVY HITTER* on Phoenix -4

The Key: The Utah Jazz are still without Donovan Mitchell and they are also without Mike Conley Jr.  They just aren't as good without these 2 and certainly not good enough to hang with the Phoenix Suns tonight.  The Suns are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 games as a home favorite of 6 points or fewer.  Phoenix is 9-1 ATS in its last 10 home games against a team with a winning road record.  Utah is 0-4 ATS in its last 4 matchups with the Suns.  Take Phoenix.

7* NBA Situational *SLAM DUNK* on Toronto Raptors +3

The Key: The situation is a bad one for the Denver Nuggets tonight.  They will be playing for a 2nd consecutive day and their 5th game in 7 days after Jokic, Porter Jr. and Campazzo all played more than 36 minutes last night in their 2-point victory over the Pelicans.  The Raptors are 5-2 SU & 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall and had yesterday off to rest.  They are basically fully healthy while the Nuggets are missing Murray, Barton and Morris.  Take Toronto.

7* NBA Eastern Conference *HEAVY HITTER* on Philadelphia 76ers -8

The Key: I like the price we are getting on the 76ers who are at full strength now and coming off a 121-90 win over the Thunder.  They had lost 4 straight to 3 of the best teams in the NBA in the Bucks (twice), Suns and Warriors prior to that win.  And they should pick up another blowout victory over the short-handed Atlanta Hawks tonight.  Atlanta will be playing without Young, Huerter, Hunter, Reddish and Snell tonight.  The home team is 6-0 ATS in the last 6 matchups int his head-to-head series.  Take Philadelphia.

7* Mavs/Warriors TNT *HEAVY HITTER* on Golden State -2.5

The Key: The Dallas Mavericks will be playing for a 2nd consecutive day and their 5th game in 7 days.  They have all kinds of injuries right now too, and Luka Doncic played nearly 38 minutes last night.  The situation really favors the Warriors, who had yesterday off and are playing their best ball of the season right now.  The Warriors are 7-2 SU & 7-2 ATS in their last 9 contests.  Take Golden State.

7* NBA Situational *SLAM DUNK* on Los Angeles Lakers -10

The Key: The Los Angeles Lakers are hungry for a win after losing 3 straight to Utah and Dallas (twice).  Anthony Davis is back in the fold now and this team should improve rapidly here before the playoffs.  They take on a team they should handle in the Orlando Magic, who are just 1-11 SU & 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games overall with 9 losses by double-digits.  The Magic are coming off a 19-point home loss yesterday to the Pacers which followed up a 35-point home loss to the Pelicans.  They will now be playing for a 2nd consecutive night and won't have much left in the tank as they have so many guys out due to injury already.  The Lakers are 10-2 ATS in their last 12 games as favorites.  The Magic are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 home games.  Take Los Angeles.

7* NBA Western Conference *HEAVY HITTER* on Portland Trail Blazers -4.5

The Key: The Blazers are just 1-6 SU in their last 7 games with 4 losses by 2 points or less.  That includes their 128-130 home loss to the Grizzlies on Friday that they will want to avenge here Sunday.  And they won't have to face Jaren Jackson Jr. who scored 23 points against them and is out for this game.  We'll get a big effort from the Blazers tonight and it should be enough to avenge that defeat and cover this short number.  The home team is 7-1 SU & 7-1 ATS in the last 8 matchups.  Take Portland.

7* NBA Western Conference Game of the Month on Minnesota Timberwolves +13.5

The Key: The Utah Jazz cannot be 13.5-point favorites over the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight considering they are without their best player in Donovan Mitchell and his 26.4 PPG.  The Timberwolves are as healthy as they have been all season and are starting to play much better with recent upset wins over the Heat and Kings.  They are coming off a 3-point loss to the Kings in the 2nd game of a double-header, but that works in our favor here as the Timberwolves are 8-1-1 ATS in their last 10 games off a loss.  Bets against home favorites of 10 or more points who are off a blowout win by 15 points or more against an opponent that scored 55 points or more in the 1st half of 2 straight games are 39-12 ATS over the last 5 years.  Take Minnesota.

7* NBA Eastern Conference Game of the Year on Miami Heat -5

The Key: Injuries aren't going to allow the Atlanta Hawks to be competitive tonight.  They will be without Trae Young and his 25.3 PPG and 9.6 APG tonight.  They will also be without Gallinari, Snell, Reddish and Hunter and Capela is questionable tonight.  They take on a Heat team that is surging in winning 9 of their last 13 games, including their last 3 games by a combined 44 points.  Atlanta is just 1-6 ATS in its last 7 games against a team with a winning record and has failed time and time again when stepping up in competition.  Take Miami.

7* 76ers/Bucks TNT Game of the Year on Milwaukee -5.5

The Key: The situation really favors the Bucks tonight.  They come in on 2 days' rest and hungry for a victory after dropping their last 2 games.  They have a chance to gain on the 76ers in the Eastern Conference standings here.  The 76ers will be playing for a 2nd consecutive day and their 3rd game in 4 days after losing by 3 at home to the Suns last night.  Now they have 4 of their best players questionable to play in this game in Embiid, Simmons, Harris and Curry.  Even if everyone were to play for the 76ers I like the Bucks, so having any of them sit would be a bonus.  The Bucks have won 9 of their last 13 matchups with the 76ers with 8 of those wins by 6 points or more.  Take Milwaukee.

7* Grizzlies/Clippers NBA TV *BAILOUT* on Memphis +2

The Key: This is an awful spot for the Los Angeles Clippers tonight.  They will be playing for the 2nd consecutive day, their 5th game in 7 days and their 9th game in 14 days.  They were already without Kawhi, Ibaka and Beverly and they aren't deep enough to overtime this tough situation.  Now they face a very good Grizzlies team that is 15-3 ATS in their last 18 games and rested after having yesterday off.  The Grizzlies are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 road games.  The Grizzlies are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games as underdogs.  Take Memphis.

7* Clippers/Blazers TNT *BAILOUT* on Portland +8.5

The Key: I like the price we are getting with the Portland Trail Blazers tonight. They are now 8.5-point home dogs to the Los Angeles Clippers after going just 2-5 SU & 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games. This is easily their largest home dog role of the season. The Blazers want to avenge their loss to the Clippers on April 6th just 2 weeks ago. Take Portland.

7* NBA Situational *SLAM DUNK* on San Antonio Spurs -1

The Key: The Indiana Pacers are in a tough situation tonight. They will be playing for a 2nd consecutive day. They will also be playing their 5th game in 7 days and their 9th game in 14 days. The Spurs want to avenge their overtime loss to the Pacers from earlier this month and are in a great situation to do so after having yesterday off. Take San Antonio.

7* Nets/Heat ESPN *HEAVY HITTER* on Miami +4

The Key: The Miami Heat are hungry for a victory after losing 3 straight road games to the Suns, Nuggets and Timberwolves. They will be playing with a chip on their shoulder today, especially with the Brooklyn Nets coming to town. A motivated Heat team is a dangerous one. Bets on teams who are attempting to avenge a loss by 10 points or more and also off 3 or more consecutive road losses are 60-27 ATS over the last 5 years. Take Miami.

7* NBA Total of the Week on Spurs/Suns UNDER 227.5

The Key: Neither the Suns nor the Spurs prefer to play at fast paces. And the Spurs will be especially slow tonight after losing 106-107 to the Blazers last night, so they'll now be playing for a 2nd consecutive day. The Suns rank 25th in pace this year. These teams played a slow tempo game in their first and only matchup this year that finished with only 202 combined points. Take the UNDER.

7* Knicks/Mavs ESPN *HEAVY HITTER* on New York +5.5

The Key: The New York Knicks are now 5-2 SU & 7-0 ATS in their last 7 games with their only two losses both coming by exactly 2 points on the road to Boston and Brooklyn.  They continue to get zero respect here as 5.5-point dogs to the Dallas Mavericks.  The Mavericks are 2-3 SU & 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games with one of their wins coming on a buzzer-beater.  The Knicks' last non-cover came at home in a loss to Dallas on April 2nd, so they'll be seeking to avenge that defeat.  The Knicks are 22-8-1 ATS in their last 31 games overall.  The Knicks are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 trips to Dallas.  Take New York.

7* NBA Situational *SLAM DUNK* on Cleveland Cavaliers +8

The Key: The situation favors the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight.  They will be playing their 2nd game in 4 days and are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall with 3 SU wins by 13 points or more.  The Warriors will be playing for the 2nd consecutive day and their 5th game in 7 days.  The Warriors are 7-22-1 ATS in their last 30 games when playing for the 2nd consecutive day.  Take Cleveland.

7* NBA Non-Conference Game of the Month on New York Knicks +3

The Key: The New York Knicks are 4-2 SU & 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games overall with their only 2 losses both coming by exactly 2 points to the Nets and Celtics.  Wrong team favored here.  The Knicks are as healthy as they have been all season which is why they are playing so well right now.  The Pelicans are far from healthy as they are without Lonzo Ball, Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Josh Hart and could be without James Johnson tonight.  New York is 19-5 ATS in its lsat 24 games with a line of +3 to -3.  The Knicks are 21-8-1 ATS in their last 30 games overall.  The Knicks are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 road games.  The Knicks are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 trips to New Orleans.  Take New York.

7* NBA Situational *SLAM DUNK* on Charlotte Hornets -1.5

The Key: The situation favors the Charlotte Hornets tonight.  They will be playing just their 4th game in 9 days and will be a much fresher team than the Los Angeles Lakers.  The Lakers will be playing their 7th consecutive road game and for a 2nd consecutive night after losing on the road to the Knicks last night.  They are still without LeBron and AD and have gone just 5-8 SU without those 2 stars.  They basically need to win this game SU to cover the spread tonight, so that's asking a lot given the tough situation.  Take Charlotte.

7* NBA Situational *SLAM DUNK* on Sacramento Kings +2.5

The Key: The New Orleans Pelicans are playing for a second consecutive day, their 5th game in 7 days and their 8th game in 12 days.  They had to come back in the 4th quarter last night to beat the lowly Cleveland Cavaliers and they won't have much left in the tank for the Kings tonight.  They Kings will be playing only their 3rd game in 7 days.  Take Sacramento.

7* Heat/Blazers NBA *BAILOUT* on OVER 221.5

The Key: The Blazers just beat the Heat 125-122 on March 25 in a game that saw 247 combined points.  It should be more of the same as they matchup again here roughly 2 weeks later.  Take the OVER.

7* NBA Total of the Month on Raptors/Cavs OVER 216.5

The Key: The Raptors and Cavs don't have much to play for right now and this game should be a shootout because of it.  There isn't much defense that will be played in this game.  The Cavaliers have scored 125 and 129 points in their last 2 games.  Offense hasn't been a problem for the Raptors this season, but they've taken a big step back defensively.  The OVER is 5-1 in the last 6 meetings with 5 of those games seeing these teams combine for at least 221 points.  Take the OVER.

7* NBA Friday Night *BAILOUT* on Houston Rockets +13.5

The Key: The Los Angeles Clippers are primed for a letdown after beating the rival Phoenix Suns last night.  It also means they will be playing for a 2nd consecutive day and on tired legs, especially Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, who played 37 and 34 minutes last night respectively.  The Rockets only lost by 3 to the Suns as 14-point dogs before upsetting the Mavericks outright as 10-point dogs in their last 2 games.  So they can stay within 13.5 of the Clippers tonight, too.  Take Houston.

7* NBA Situational *SLAM DUNK* on Cleveland Cavaliers -4

The Key: The Oklahoma City Thunder are missing 5 of their top 6 scorers in Gilgeous-Alexander, Bazley, Horford, Dort and Muscala.  It's no wonder they are just 1-7 SU & 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games overall with all 7 losses coming by 9 points or more.  The last 3 losses have come by 37, 48, 24 points and 11 points.  That includes their 11-point loss to the short-handed Hornets last night.  Now they will be playing for a 2nd consecutive day and their 5th game in 7 days.  The Cavaliers had the last 2 days off after a 24-point blowout win in San Antonio on Monday and will be the fresher team.  Take Cleveland.

7* NBA Situational *SLAM DUNK* on New York Knicks +3

The Key: Tough situation for the Boston Celtics tonight.  They will be playing for a 2nd consecutive day and their 14th game in 23 days.  They will be without both Kemba Walker and Evan Fournier.  And they take on a rested, hungry Knicks team that had Tuesday off.  The Knicks already beat the Celtics by 30 in their lone matchup this year.  The Celtics are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games when playing for a 2nd consecutive day.  The Knicks are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 road games.  Take New York.

7* NBA Western Conference Total of the Year on Blazers/Clippers OVER 229

The Key: The Portland Trail Blazers are loaded on offense right now with McCollum back and the trade for Powell from the Raptors.  They have scored 109 or more points in 7 consecutive games and 108 or more in 15 of their last 17.  They face a Clippers team that ranks 2nd in offensive efficiency and should be able to name their number against a rotten Portland defense that ranks 29th in defensive efficiency.  The last 2 matchups in this series saw 239 and 233 combined points.  Take the OVER.

7* Baylor/Gonzaga NCAAB *HEAVY HITTER* on Baylor +4.5

The Key: The Baylor Bears have won and covered against the likes of 9th-seeded Wisconsin, 5th-seeded Villanova, 3rd-seeded Arkansas and 2nd-seeded Houston to get here.  They won all 4 of those games by 9 or more points.  Gonzaga has had the much easier schedule beating 16th-seeded Norfolk State, 8th-seeded Oklahoma, 5th-seeded Creighton and 11th-seeded UCLA.  And they needed OT to beat the Bruins.  The Bulldogs have played a much easier schedule than Baylor all season.  I would argue that the Bears are actually the better team, and it has shown so far in the NCAA Tournament.  It will show again Monday in the Championship Game.  Take Baylor.

7* Warriors/Hawks NBA TV *HEAVY HITTER* on Golden State -1

The Key: The Golden State Warriors want to avenge their 108-124 home loss to the Atlanta Hawks on March 26 just over a week ago.  They were really banged up for that game as they were 7-point home dogs, and now they are much healthier.  Most notably they will have Steph Curry for this rematch while they didn't have him in that first matchup.  The Hawks are the team with the injury problems now with John Collins and DeAndre Hunter out, while both Trae Young and Danilo Gallinari are questionable.  The Warriors are 21-9 ATS in their last 30 road games when avenging a same-season loss.  The Hawks are 5-17 ATS in their last 22 games after winning 2 of their last 3 games.  Take Golden State.

7* Houston/Baylor NCAAB *HEAVY HITTER* on Baylor -5

The Key: The Baylor Bears have won and covered against the likes of 9th-seeded Wisconsin, 5th-seeded Villanova and 3rd-seeded Arkansas to get here.  The Houston Cougars have won against 15th-seeded Cleveland State, 10th-seeded Rutgers, 11th-seeded Syracuse and 12th-seeded Oregon State.  And it's worth noting they had to go down to the wire with both Rutgers and Oregon State.  This easy run to the Final Four has been a microcosm of Houston's season.  They have only faced one team that ranks in the Top 25 of almost everyone's power ratings, and that was Texas Tech.  Baylor will be their most difficult challenge to date and it's not even close.  I expect that to show up on the scoreboard today with the Bears rolling to victory.  Take Baylor.

7* Lakers/Kings NBA *BAILOUT* on Sacramento -4

The Key: The Lakers have been real money burners without Lebron James and Antony Davis.  They have gone 2-5 SU & 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games without them with their only wins coming against 2 of the worst teams in the NBA in the Cavaliers and Magic (by 3).  Their 5 losses all came by 5 points or more with 4 of them by 8 points or more.  Now they face a hot Kings team that is 5-1 SU in its last 6 games overall with its only loss coming on the road to the Spurs the game after they had just beaten the Spurs by 17, so they weren't motivated.  Take Sacramento.

7* Hornets/Nets TNT *HEAVY HITTER* on Charlotte +3.5

The Key: Tough situation for the Brooklyn Nets tonight.  They used a lot of energy coming back from a double-digit deficit in the 3rd quarter to beat the Rockets last night.  They made the comeback without James Harden, who left in the 3rd quarter with a hamstring injury.  It's almost certain the Nets won't play Harden tonight now.  And this team is already short-handed with injuries as it is.  The Hornets will upset them tonight as they continue playing some great basketball.  The Hornets are 4-1 SU & 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall with the lone loss coming to the red hot Suns in overtime.  The Nets are 0-7 ATS in their last 7 games as favorites.  Take Charlotte.

7* NBA Non-Conference Game of the Week on Toronto Raptors -8

The Key: This looks like a great spot for the Raptors to get on track with a blowout victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder.  While the Raptors are almost fully health now, the Thunder are missing 5 of their top 6 scorers in Gilgeous-Alexander, Horford, Dort, Bazley and Muscala.  These 5 combined to average 72.1 PPG.  It has not gone well without them recently as the Thunder have suffered 3 straight blowout losses by 9, 15 and 21 points.  The Raptors are 18-4 ATS in their last 22 games off 3 or more consecutive ATS losses.  The Raptors are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 trips to Oklahoma City.  Take Toronto.

7* NBA Situational *SLAM DUNK* on Charlotte Hornets -3.5

The Key: The Charlotte Hornets have gone 3-1 SU & 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall with their only loss coming to the Suns in overtime.  They have played just fine without LaMelo Ball as they have the guards to make up for his loss.  And they come in rested having yesterday off, while the Wizards come in playing the for a 2nd consecutive day and their 11th game in 19 days.  Bradley Beal didn't play last night and may not play again tonight.  And don't be surprised if they sit Russell Westbrook after that historic triple-double in a 132-124 shootout win over the Pacers last night.  They are missing Ish Smith, Davis Bertans and could be missing Daniel Gafford as well.  The Hornets beat the Wizards 119-97 in their lone matchup this year in early February.  The Hornets are 36-15-1 ATS in their last 52 games against a team that wins less than 40% of their games.  Charlotte is 20-6-1 ATS in its last 27 road games against a team with a losing home record.  The Hornets are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games as favorites.  Take Charlotte.

7* NCAA Tournament Game of the Year on Oregon State +8

The Key: The Oregon State Beavers are now 18-3-1 ATS in their last 22 games.  They have won 12 of those games outright as underdogs, including their wins over Tennessee by 14, Oklahoma State by 10 and Loyola-Chicago by 7 in the NCAA Tournament thus far.  Those 3 opponents were much tougher than the slate that Houston has faced, and the Beavers also beat UCLA, Oregon and Colorado in the Pac-12 Tournament.  Houston has beaten Cleveland State, Rutgers and Syracuse in the NCAA Tournament.  The Beavers will give them a run for their money similar to what Rutgers did in the 2nd round.  The Beavers are 16-3 ATS in their last 19 games as underdogs.  Take Oregon State.

7* UCLA/Alabama NCAAB *HEAVY HITTER* on Alabama -6.5

The Key: Alabama is 26-6 this year and one of the most dangerous teams left in the tournament.  If I had to pick one team that stood a chance against Gonzaga other than Baylor, it would be Alabama.  That's because their ceiling is as high as anyone.  That was on display against Maryland as they crushed the Terrapins 96-77.  They hoist 30 3-pointers per game and make 35.5% of them.  They get great looks almost every time down the floor.  And they have quietly ranked 2nd in the country in defensive efficiency, so they do a good job of not allowing easy shots for their opponents.  UCLA's competition during this 3-0 run in the NCAA Tournament has been extremely soft with wins over Michigan State, BYU and Abilene Christian.  They take a big step up in class here against Alabama.  And the Bruins finished 0-4 SU in their last 4 games of the season against the Pac-12.  The Bruins are 1-9 ATS in their last 10 Sweet 16 games.  Their season comes to an end here in blowout fashion against the Crimson Tide.  Take Alabama.

7* NBA Western Conference Game of the Month on Memphis Grizzlies +10.5

The Key: I like the price we are getting on the Memphis Grizzlies tonight due to the Utah Jazz coming off 2 straight blowout wins by 25 and 30 points.  But they caught both the Bulls and Nets on a back-to-back situation so both were good spots for them.  And last night they only beat the Grizzlies 117-114.  Now they are once again double-digit favorites and shouldn't be.  The Grizzlies are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 games overall and will be the hungrier team tonight seeking revenge.  The Jazz will relax after beating the Grizzlies yesterday.  Take Memphis.

7* NBA Eastern Conference Game of the Month on Charlotte Hornets ML -105

The Key: This is a tough situation for the Miami Heat tonight.  They are 0-5 SU & 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games overall after a 122-125 loss to the Blazers last night.  Now the Heat will be playing for a second consecutive day, their 7th game in 11 days and their 10th game in 16 days.  They won't have any gas left for the Hornets tonight.  They will be without Goran Dragic plus both Bjelica and Oladipo, whom they traded for.  They could also be without Jimmy Butler again after he sat out last night's game with an illness.  The Heat only played 8 players last night and 5 of them played at least 32 minutes.  The Hornets are rested after having yesterday off.  They are playing well in going 6-3 SU in their last 9 games with their only losses coming to the Clippers, Lakers and Nuggets which are 3 of the best teams in the NBA.  The Hornets are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 home games against a team with a losing road record.  Take Charlotte.

7* NBA Situational *SLAM DUNK* on San Antonio Spurs +6.5

The Key: Greg Popovich has been great at getting the most out of his teams through the years when they are attempting to avenge a defeat.  He will get the most out of the Spurs tonight after a terrible performance against the Clippers last night in a 134-101 loss.  The Spurs will be the more hungry team here.  San Antonio is 63-32 ATS in its last 95 games when avenging a defeat, including 14-2 ATS in its last 16 games when avenging a defeat by 20 points or more.  Take San Antonio.

7* NBA Situational *SLAM DUNK* on San Antonio Spurs +6

The Key: I like the price we are getting on the San Antonio Spurs tonight because they are off 2 straight losses while the Clippers are off 2 straight wins.  But the losses by the Spurs weren't bad as they lost by 7 at Milwaukee when playing for a 2nd consecutive day and by 3 at home to the Hornets.  They had won 3 in a row prior and are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games.  The 2 wins by the Clippers came at home over the Hornets and Hawks.  The Clippers are now back on the road where they are just 1-5 SU & 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games on the highway.  The Spurs are 15-4 ATS in their last 19 home games off 2 or more consecutive losses.  Take San Antonio.

7* NBA Situational *SLAM DUNK* on Miami Heat +2

The Key: The Miami Heat had won 11 of 12 games prior to losing each of their last 3 contests.  They come out hungry tonight against the Phoenix Suns, who are coming off a 5-game home stand in which they lost outright as big favorites to the Timberwolves and Pacers.  They shouldn't be favored on the road here against the Heat.  Miami has won 17 of its last 20 matchups with Phoenix straight up and has gone 21-6 ATS in the last 27 matchups as well.  The Heat are 8-0 ATS in their last 8 home games off a loss by 3 points or fewer.  Take Miami.

7* NCAAB 2nd Round Game of the Year on Alabama -5.5

The Key: Maryland somehow made the NCAA Tournament with a 16-13 record this season.  They lost 3 of their final 4 games this season with 2 upset losses to Northwestern and Penn State.  They played a UConn team that played at a slow tempo just like they do in the first round and simply out shot them 51.2% to 32.3%.  Now this is a bad matchup for them against an Alabama team that gets up and down and shoots a ton of 3-pointers, which is Maryland's defensive weakness.  And it's an Alabama team that ranks 2nd in defensive efficiency in the nation, which is bad news for a Terrapins team that is one of the worst offensive teams in the country.  This game just has blowout written all over it.  The Terrapins are 0-9 ATS in their last 9 game off a low-scoring game that saw 125 or fewer combined points.  They will have to try and keep up with the Crimson Tide here and they are not equipped to do it.  Take Alabama.

7* Oregon State/Oklahoma State NCAAB *BAILOUT* on Oregon State +6.5

The Key:  I like the price we are getting on the Oregon State Beavers against Oklahoma State in the 2nd round.  The price has been off on the Beavers for a couple months now as they are 16-3-1 ATS in their last 20 games.  Oregon State is 12-0 ATS in their last 12 games after playing 3 straight games as underdogs.  They won outright as underdogs over UCLA, Oregon, Colorado and now Tennessee in their last 4 games.  Take Oregon State.

7* NCAAB 1st Round Game of the Year on Connecticut -3

The Key: Maryland somehow made the NCAA Tournament with a 16-13 record this season.  They lost 3 of their final 4 games this season with 2 upset losses to Northwestern and Penn State.  Now they have to take on a UConn team playing its best ball since the return of leading scorer James Bouknight, who gets over 20 PPG.  He leads an underrated Huskies team that ranks in the Top 25 in both offensive and defensive efficiency this season.  The Huskies are 7-2 SU & 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games with their only losses coming on the road to a healthy Villanova team by 8 and to Creighton by 3 in the Big East Tournament.  The Huskies are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 games against teams that force 12 or fewer turnovers per game.  The Terrapins are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 NCAA Tournament games.  The Huskies are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games off a loss.  UConn is 16-5 ATS in its last 21 NCAA Tournament games.  The Huskies are 19-6-1 ATS in their last 26 games overall.  UConn is 13-3 ATS in its last 16 games as a favorite.  The Huskies are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 neutral site games as favorites.  Take UConn.

7* Utah State/Texas Tech NCAAB *HEAVY HITTER* on Texas Tech -4

The Key: I like the price we are getting on Texas Tech now after losing their final 2 games of the season to Baylor and Texas.  Now the Red Raiders are refocused and ready to go.  Chris Beard is one of the best head coaches in the country and took the Red Raiders on a deep NCAA Tournament run a few years back.  Utah State was blasted by 11 points by San Diego State in the MWC Championship Game and doesn't stand much of a chance of keeping this game competitive against Texas Tech, which played a much tougher schedule than the Aggies did this season.  Utah State is 2-11 ATS in its last 13 games after playing its last game as an underdog.  The Aggies are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 NCAA Tournament games.  The Red Raiders are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 NCAA Tournament games.  Take Texas Tech.

7* UCLA/Michigan State NCAAB *BAILOUT* on Michigan State -2

The Key: The Michigan State Spartans went 5-3 SU in their final 8 games this season with upset wins over Illinois, Michigan and Ohio State.  Thats 3 wins against Top 2 seeds and it proves that the Spartans can play with anyone.  Now they take a step down in class here against the UCLA Bruins, who have lost 4 straight games to close out the season and are going in the other direction.  It's worth noting that the Bruins also lost to the lone Big Ten team they faced this season in Ohio State.  The Bruins are now 3-11 ATS in their last 14 games overall.  Take Michigan State.

7* NBA Situational *SLAM DUNK* on Memphis Grizzlies +2

The Key: The Memphis Grizzlies come in hungry for a victory off 3 straight losses.  They face a Miami Heat team that is tired right now and won't have much left in the tank for them.  The Heat will be playing for a 2nd consecutive night and their 5th game in 7 days.  They could rest some players tonight because of it.  Take Memphis.
