3 Unit Play.  Take #972 Chicago -120 over Minnesota (7:10p.m., Saturday, September 5 MLB.tv) We will continue bet this low numbers fading Minnesota. We have done it most of the last week and expect another cash on Saturday. The Twins are not very good and the White Sox are fighting for a bye in the American League.

2 Unit Play. Take #307041 Mercyhurst Lakers over New Mexico State Aggies (9p.m., Saturday, September 5 ESPN+) The Lakers actually played a game last week as well losing to Youngstown State. New Mexico State is getting credit for hanging with Florida State last Saturday, but I see them falling back in this game. FSU has a coach on the hot seat and they are just not that good. NMSU has a high school coach that has not had much success in college and I do not see them winning this game by 30+ points. The last two years facing FCS teams, they beat Bryant by 16 points and SE Missouri State by 7 points. This game should follow along that line.

2 Unit Play. Take #307005 Tarleton State Texans over Bowling Green Falcons (12p.m., Saturday, September 5 ESPN+) This is a small line for a game against an FCS team, but I just feel Tarleton State is the better team. Eddie George regressed this team last year going from 7-6 to 4-8. They won just one game after October 12 in 2025 and they just struggle to score points. The Texans got in a game last week and had a great year in 2025 making the FCS Playoffs. They can score enough points to win this game against a rebuilding program.

2 Unit Play. Take #208 Oregon Ducks over Boise State Broncos (3:30p.m., Saturday, September 5 CBS) The line in this games tells you a lot about the talent disparity in 2026 between Boise State and Oregon. This is not a traditional Bronco team and I expect them to struggle in the trenches. This is the sixth straight year Boise State begins their season on the road and they are 0-4 ATS the last 4 years in their opening game. The Ducks did not finish out the season strong and I expect them to want to light up the scoreboard with a new offensive coordinator in this game. This seems like a lot of points, but Oregon usually destroys nonconference opponents in Eugene and this game should be no different.

2 Unit Play. Take #160 West Virginia Mountaineers over Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (12p.m., Saturday, September 5 TNT) Rich Rod is still coaching and this is year two at West Virginia. Coastal Carolina has a new coach, and they are coming off back-to-back 6-7 seasons. They do not return much experience (by choice) with a new coach wanting his own players. This is a rebuilding year for CC and thus we will follow the line movement and back the home team. The last time these two teams played, West Virginia won 31-0. This line has jumped from the opening by 4 points and it is with good reason.
