NFL Power Rankings Week 5
Looking for 2016 NFL Power Rankings? Week 4 of the NFL season is in the books – what a typically crazy week it was! The Ravens, the Raiders, the Rams the Falcons and the Cowboys are all 3-1 on the season – who saw that coming?
On the other hand the Jets, the Cardinals and the Panthers are all 1-3! Nobody could have scripted that!
NFL Football Handicapping
There is only one winless team so far – it seems to be the only constant in the NFL that the Browns absolutely stink!
There has been some definite shakeup on the Rankings with all the goings-on. So where does your favorite stand heading into Week 5? Let’s take a look in Dave B’s Week 5 NFL Power Rankings.
1. Denver Broncos (4-0)
– Last Week: 2
The Broncos made the Buccaneers their latest victim on Sunday and even Paxton Lynch who was said to be a ways away from being NFL-ready got a shot. The team didn’t miss a beat which speaks to the professionalism and the potential of this team.
With a defense dominating games and with an offense that has far exceeded expectations Denver looks like the best team in the land.
2. Minnesota Vikings (4-0)
– Last Week: 3
Wow – the Vikings are seriously good. They made the Giants look bad on Monday Night and held Odell Beckham completely in check. The defense is insane and the offense is doing just enough right now.

This is a formula for a team poised to go an awful long way this year!
3. New England Patriots (3-1)
– Last Week: 1
The Patriots got shut out at home on Sunday against the Bills – shocking. But have no fear – Tom Brady will be back for Week 4 and Ron Gronkowski may actually see the field for more than a few plays.
New England was good in the first four games – they get a ton better this week!
4. Philadelphia Eagles (3-0)
– Last Week: 4
No reason to bump the Eagles out of #4 after their bye – they may have gotten better with the extra practice reps. They play a down Lions team in Week 5 which SHOULD lead to another win.
Gotta love the Eagles right now – they are seriously legit.
5. Seattle Seahawks (3-1)
– Last Week: 5
The Seahawks flew across country and beat up on a pretty good Jets defense on Sunday – the injuries to Russell Wilson don’t seem to be an issue and the re-emergence of Jimmy Graham is a seriously positive sign going forward.
Seattle has a bye this week to heal up before they play the Falcons in Week 6.
6. Pittsburgh Steelers (3-1)
– Last Week: 7
The Steelers made quite a statement on Sunday Night destroying the Chiefs.

Le’Veon Bell had 144 yards on 18 carries, Big Ben did whatever he wanted and the defense continues to support what is a very well-rounded team.
The Steelers are a scary team in the AFC – only the health of Ben Roethlisberger or lack thereof will slow this team down.
7. Green Bay Packers (2-1)
– Last Week: 6
The Packers had the bye this week and return in Week 6 to host the Giants – it should be an interesting game to say the least! Jordy Nelson makes all the difference in the world for a team that should be in the mix all season long.
8. Dallas Cowboys (3-1)
– Last Week: 11
How about the Cowboys – they look like a contender with Dak Prescott at the helm – don’t they? He has been effective and efficient and Zeke Elliot has been as advertized.
It’s pretty hard to imaging Tony Romo keeping his job which speaks to the impressive nature of this cohesive team.
9. Oakland Raiders (3-1)
– Last Week: 14
The Raiders jump into the top 10 this week thanks to a road win against the previously unbeaten Ravens. They are young, they are talented and Sunday showed that there is ZERO quit in this team.
Oakland looks as though they are finally realizing their immense potential and is on pace to be the surprise team of the league this year.
10. Atlanta Falcons (3-1)
– Last Week: 18
How about the Falcons who became the first team to have a 500+ yard passer and a 300 yard receiver in one game. Yup – Matt Ryan and Julio Jones are as dominant a duo as there is in the game right now.
A date with the Broncos in Week 5 will tell us a lot about this team but form now they are top 10 material all-the-way!
11. Los Angeles Rams (3-1)
– Last Week: 22
Shocked? Me too! But you just can’t deny a team that has already beaten two Super Bowl favorites – the Seahawks and now the Cardinals in Week 4. The defense has been insane and Case Keenum has been a quality game manager.

Imagine if Todd Gurley was effective in the least!
12. Baltimore Ravens (3-1)
– Last Week: 8
The Ravens came close to going 4-0 this past week – a rally by the Raiders prevented them from the improbable record. Heck, if the pass catchers would have done their job Baltimore would be an easy top 10 team.
Can they continue? I’m not all that convinced!
13. Houston Texans (3-1) – Last Week: 15
14. Cincinnati Bengals (2-2) – Last Week: 16
15. New York Giants (2-2) – Last Week: 13
16. Kansas City Chiefs (2-2) – Last Week: 10
17. Buffalo Bills (2-2) – Last Week: 25
18. Arizona Cardinals (1-3) – Last Week: 9
19. Washington Redskins (2-2) – Last Week: 19
20. Carolina Panthers (1-3) – Last Week: 12
21. New York Jets (1-3) – Last Week: 20
22. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-3) – Last Week: 30
23. Indianapolis Colts (1-3) – Last Week: 17
24. Chicago Bears (1-3) – Last Week: 31
25. Detroit Lions (1-3) – Last Week: 21
26. New Orleans Saints (1-3) – Last Week: 29
27. San Francisco 49ers (1-3) – Last Week: 28
28. Miami Dolphins (1-3) – Last Week: 26
29. Tennessee Titans (1-3) – Last Week: 24
30. San Diego Chargers (1-3) – Last Week: 27
31. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-3) – Last Week: 23
32. Cleveland Browns (0-4) – Last Week: 32
