NHL Power Rankings Week 14
Looking for our updated NFL Power Rankings? Week 13 of the NFL season is in the books and not a whole lot has changed in the Power Rankings. The top 5 haven’t changed but the Lions and the Steelers have jumped into the top 10. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are knocking on the door as well – don’t sleep on that NFC South team.

So where does your favorite stand heading into Week 14? Let’s take a look in Dave B’s Week 14 NFL Power Rankings.
1. Dallas Cowboys (11-1)
Last Week: 1
The Cowboys played perhaps their worst game in quite some time on Thursday night and they still won – a mark of an elite team.
Turnovers and penalties finally reared their ugly heads in that game but Zeke Elliot and Dak Prescott are still playing like veterans and the Boys in turn have become the first team to clinch a playoff spot.
Dallas was close to slipping down the Rankings this week but at 11-1 they haven’t lost it yet.
2. New England Patriots (10-2)
Last Week: 2
The Pats began life without Rob Gronkowski on Sunday and fared very well – they jumped out to a 17-0 lead over the Rams and cruised home.
We need not worry about this offense – they gained 402 yards against a pretty good LA defense and the combination of Julian Edelman and Malcolm Mitchell were virtually unstoppable.

New England may have some competition in the AFC but for now there is no doubting the TOP DOG.
3. Oakland Raiders (10-2)
Last Week: 3
The Raiders are 10-2 – they look like they just won’t be beaten right now. Sunday’s win was in come-from-behind fashion – 29 unanswered points against the Bills gave them their fifth straight win.
David Carr is playing MVP caliber ball, the defense is finally doing some good things and the running game led by Latavius Murray is lending some quality support to the team.
Everything is going right for the Raiders right now – the most unlikely #3 team I can remember.
4. Kansas City Chiefs (9-3)
Last Week: 4
How about them Chiefs? They went on the road Sunday and beat a very good Falcons team in dramatic fashion – a pick-6 by Eric Berry and a pick-2 on an attempted two point conversion by Atlanta were the difference.
The fake punt TD was another huge play in that game. They are now 19-3 in their last 22 Regular Season games and seem to be inventing new ways to win each and every week.
5. Seattle Seahawks (8-3-1)
Last Week: 5
The Seahawks absolutely dismantled the Carolina Panthers on Sunday night – Russell Wilson was terrific and Thomas Rawls has 118 and 2 TDs for Seattle.

One concern is the season-ending injury to super-safety Earl Thomas – he is a key cog on a defense that has proven one of the best in the game… again.
6. Denver Broncos (8-4)
Last Week: 7
The Broncos will go as far as the defense takes it – period. That defense is not such a bad thing! Rookie Paxton Lynch started at QB Sunday and wasn’t great – the running game was somewhat disappointing again as well.
But Denver still won the game. Defense will take a team a long way – the Broncos are further proof.
7. Detroit Lions (8-4)
Last Week: 9
The Lions look like a team of destiny – don’t they? This team has won just about every possible way this season – on Sunday it was defense that held the Saints down and picked Drew Brees off three times.
Matt Stafford has been terrific as well. He threw for 341 yards on Sunday and proved again that he has absolute control over this offense right now.
8. Atlanta Falcons (7-5)
Last Week: 8
The Falcons probably should have beaten the Chiefs but a couple of ill-advised passes by Matt Ryan doomed them. Atlanta now has company atop their division – the good thing is that they still have a remarkable offense and the fact that they play Jared Goff and the Rams next week.
9. New York Giants (8-4)
Last Week: 6
The G-Men’s six game win streak was snapped Sunday against Pittsburgh in what was a total dud for the team. Rashad Jennings ran for just 19 yards and the O-line was exposed mightily.
I am willing to give New York a mulligan for that effort but there has to be some concern in Giants-land.
10. Pittsburgh Steelers (7-5)
Last Week: 14
The Steelers made the Giants look bad on Sunday and stepped back into the top 10 because of it. With Le’Veon Bell, Antonio Brown and new toy Ladarius Green Pittsburgh looks like it will be a difficult team to stop.
The defense was a nice surprise Sunday as well – they held New York to just 234 yards of total offense.
11. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-5)
Last Week: 12
Don’t look now but the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a share of the NFC South lead! They headed into San Diego Sunday and left with a victory – they are now 5-1 on the road this year including a win at Arrowhead!

Their present four game win streak is impressive indeed – keep in mind that this team beat down a stellar Seahawks team in Week 11.
12. Baltimore Ravens (7-5)
Last Week: 13
The Ravens really showed up on Sunday in a win against the Hot Dolphins. Joe Flacco threw for 381 yards and four TDs and the top ranked defense held Jay Ajayi and Ryan Tannehill completely in check.
If the offense can be just OK the rest of the way the defense will carry this team a long way.
13. Washington Redskins (6-5-1) – Last Week: 11
14. Miami Dolphins (7-5) – Last Week: 10
15. Green Bay Packers (6-6) – Last Week: 15
16. Minnesota Vikings (6-6) – Last Week: 16
17. Buffalo Bills (6-6) – Last Week: 17
18. Tennessee Titans (6-6) – Last Week: 18
19. Houston Texans (6-6) – Last Week: 19
20. New Orleans Saints (5-7) – Last Week: 20
21. San Diego Chargers (5-7) – Last Week: 21
22. Philadelphia Eagles (5-7) – Last Week: 22
23. Indianapolis Colts (6-6) – Last Week: 23
24. Arizona Cardinals (5-6-1) – Last Week: 24
25. Carolina Panthers (4-8) – Last Week: 25
26. Cincinnati Bengals (4-7-1) – Last Week: 26
27. Los Angeles Rams (4-8) – Last Week: 27
28. New York Jets (3-9) – Last Week: 28
29 Chicago Bears (3-9) – Last Week: 29
30. Jacksonville Jaguars (2-10) – Last Week: 30
31. San Francisco 49ers (1-11) – Last Week: 31
32. Cleveland Browns (0-12) – Last Week: 32
