NFL Power Rankings Week 10
Looking for 2016 NFL Power Rankings? Week 9 of the NFL season is in the books – it was yet another unforgettable slate of games that we all had the pleasure of witnessing. Some of the big guns were on their byes in Week 9 – the other big dogs, with the occasional exception, all lost! The Rankings were pretty tough to figure out to say the least.

It may be time to give the Raiders their due folks – they are contenders while the Broncos, the Vikings, the Steelers, the Packers and the Eagles all looked an awful lot like pretenders.
So where does your favorite stand heading into Week 10? Let’s take a look in Dave B’s Week 10 NFL Power Rankings.
1. New England Patriots
(7-1) – Last Week: 1
No need to bump the Patriots out of first because they were on their bye. I mean – who in the AFC is going to beat them? Since Tom Brady’s return from suspension he has thrown for 1,319 yards and 12 scores without an interception – unstoppable.
Add in the effectiveness of LeGarrette Blount’s and Rob Gronkowski’s health and this looks like another Bill Belichick year. Next week’s game against Seattle could be one for the ages – I can’t wait!
2. Dallas Cowboys
(7-1) – Last Week: 2
The Cowboys keep rolling – they trounced the Browns on Sunday thanks to a nice, efficient effort from Dak Prescott and two more TDs from Zeke Elliot.

The defense has been surprisingly good as well! Like the Pats the Boys have a tough game next week – the Steelers are on the card which is tantalizing to say the least.
3. Oakland Raiders
(7-2) – Last Week: 6
How about them Raiders? They took on and rather soundly beat the Broncos on Sunday – a major feat for the up-and-coming squad.
They racked up 218 yards on the ground and 260 yards through the air on the NFL’s third ranked defense and they finally managed to keep their penalties in check.
Confidence and momentum is a funny thing – Oakland has it in spades right now.
4. Kansas City Chiefs
(6-2) – Last Week: 4
The Chiefs weren’t great against the Jags on Sunday but they did what all good teams do – they won! Playing without their starting QB and RB and still winning an NFL game is still impressive.
Four more turnovers by the defense Sunday gives them 20 on the season – a major boon for what is a very well rounded team.
They too have a tough Week 10 draw – they visit Carolina in a game that should tell us a lot about this team.
5. Atlanta Falcons
(6-3) – Last Week: 8
The Falcons continue to do virtually whatever they want on offense – Matt Ryan threw for four more TDs on Thursday night in an easy win over the Bucs. This after two straight razor-close losses.
With a bounce here and there Atlanta could be 7-1 and a top 3 team in the Rankings.
6. Seattle Seahawks
(5-2-1) – Last Week: 7
The Seahawks seem to be winning in every way possible – the main thing is that they are winning. The good news is that Russell Wilson looked better and Jimmy Graham is fully back.

The bad news is that they probably should have lost to the Bills at home and they have zero running game.
7. Denver Broncos
(6-3) – Last Week: 3
The Broncos just don’t look very good – do they? Ya – they were playing without a few key guys on defense but they still allowed 218 yards on the ground and the offense was non-existent.
The ground game generated only 33 yards against Oakland. Denver suddenly looks like an average teams right now – a tenuous top 10.
8. Minnesota Vikings
(5-3) – Last Week: 5
The Vikings issues on offense have finally caught up to them. Minnesota had a hard time scoring on a weak Detroit defense on Sunday and the stout defense just couldn’t do enough in their OT loss. For now the Vikes are top 10 but for how long is anyone’s guess.
9. New York Giants
(5-3) – Last Week: 17
Don’t look now but the Giants are coming. The team is finding a way despite not playing great in any aspect of the game. On paper New York is a good team – a win against Philadelphia on Sunday is proving that they are a good team on the field.
A running game would be nice though!
10. Houston Texans
(5-3) – Last Week: 12
The Texans rise in the Rankings despite having the bye. The reason is that the other teams around them lost on Sunday! The team is 5-0 at home, Lamar Miller has been OK and the defense has been solid as well.
They are an unspectacular top 10 but a top 10 nonetheless.
11. Pittsburgh Steelers
(4-4) – Last Week: 10
Ben Roethlisberger has a history of duds after returning from injury and Sunday was another example.
I am willing to give him a mulligan for that game. The fact is that Pittsburgh still has a very, very good team particularly on offense – LeVeon Bell, Big Benn and Antonio Brown are no joke.

I can’t see Pittsburgh’s struggles continuing – they should be top 10 by this time next week.
12. Green Bay Packers
(4-4) – Last Week: 9
Something is amiss in Green Bay but I just can’t bump them out of the dirty dozen just yet. Injuries are killing this team – a lack of intensity isn’t helping either.
Both can and will be rectified and the Packers should be fine – SHOULD!
13. Philadelphia Eagles (4-4) – Last Week: 11
14. Arizona Cardinals (3-4-1) – Last Week: 13
15. Cincinnati Bengals (3-4-1) – Last Week: 14
16. Detroit Lions (5-4) – Last Week: 19
17. New Orleans Saints (4-4) – Last Week: 26
18. Miami Dolphins (4-4) – Last Week: 23
19. Washington Redskins (4-3-1) – Last Week: 18
20. Baltimore Ravens (4-4) – Last Week: 20
21. San Diego Chargers (4-5) – Last Week: 21
22. Buffalo Bills (4-5) – Last Week: 15
23. Indianapolis Colts (4-5) – Last Week: 28
24. Carolina Panthers (3-5) – Last Week: 25
25. Chicago Bears (2-6) – Last Week: 27
26. Tennessee Titans (4-5) – Last Week: 16
27. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-5) – Last Week: 22
28. Los Angeles Rams (3-5) – Last Week: 29
29 New York Jets (3-6) – Last Week: 24
30. Jacksonville Jaguars (2-6) – Last Week: 30
31. San Francisco 49ers (1-7) – Last Week: 31
32. Cleveland Browns (0-9) – Last Week: 32
