Bet on CFB Futures
The 2015-2016 college football season is over. The Alabama Crimson Tide fell early on in the season, but battled their way back and let nobody stand in their way. Alabama capped the season off with an SEC Title with a win over Florida.

The CFB Playoff consisted of #1 and undefeated Clemson, #2 Alabama, #3 Michigan State (Big Ten Champs), and #4 Oklahoma (Big 12 Champs). #1 Clemson entered their matchup with #4 Oklahoma as an underdog. They beat them with ease shutting them out in the 2nd half. Alabama had no problem against Michigan State, embarrassing them 38-0.
In the Title game, the Crimson Tide led from the 2nd quarter on and their offense led by Derrick Henry had no problem putting points on the board.
Now for bettors, the focus shifts to 2017 and what lies ahead. Do bettors back the Crimson Tide and Nick Saban to repeat? Do they go back to the favorites entering last year in Ohio State? Or do they pick a dark horse with bigger odds?
Lets take a look at 5 of the top bets to make for 2016-2017.
Alabama Crimson Tide 6/1
The Crimson Tide return both their QB in Jake Coker and RB Derrick Henry, the defending Heisman Trophy winner. Henry was notorious for running right up the gut and smashing into opponents after gaining just a couple yards. By the 2nd quarter, defenses completely wore down because of him.
Coker wasn’t asked to do too much during the regular season with Henry carrying the load, but in the Playoff games, Coker stepped up in a big way. Coker led the Crimson Tide to a huge 2nd half against Oklahoma and finished off their championship run with a solid showing against the Tigers.

Alabama offers one of the best scoring defenses in the nation and has plenty of returning starters. This team at 6/1 odds is a beautiful sight. While the SEC is completely unpredictable, there’s one thing known for sure: Alabama is the class of the conference.
Clemson Tigers 7/1
The Tigers gave Alabama all they could handle in the title game. Dual threat QB DeShaun Watson shattered record after record this season and returns with unfinished business on his mind.
The problem with Clemson last season was their defense and it certainly showed in the title game. Clemson could not stop Henry nor Coker and even though they put up 38 points, it did them no good.
Alabama needs to focus their recruiting on defense. The offense is completely set as Watson can carry the load.
Clemson should be able to handle the ACC with rather ease once again, but if they were to get upset, it would certainly be because of their defense.
Ohio State 10/1
The Buckeyes are going to be a young team this coming season. Joey Bosa, their top defender, graduated along with a lot of his first liners. As for the offense, they’ll be without Ezekiel Elliott, who was dominant in their backfield.

Ohio State may be the one team that has been hurt by so many players leaving, but that hasn’t stopped Urban Meyer. The Buckeyes head coach has been active from the day after the team’s Fiesta Bowl win over Notre Dame, going after recruits. Meyer has gotten so many, he’s moved the Buckeyes to the #1 spot in terms of recruiting class.
The Buckeyes championship hopes will once again hang in the balance of beating Michigan State and Michigan. However, a date with Oklahoma looms, which will give them a giant resume win should they be able to win.
Michigan 15/1
The Wolverines turned a giant corner last season. Although they dropped their opener to Utah, the Wolverines battled back thanks to one of the best defenses in the nation.
They were set down the stretch of the season for a race for the Big 10 Title, but a very unfortunate bounce against the Michigan State Spartans in the Big House led to them essentially being eliminated from the title race.
Jim Harbaugh then welcomed in the Ohio State Buckeyes for his first taste of the rivalry. Ohio State trashed the Wolverines on their home field, leaving a sour taste in their mouth. Michigan did route Florida in the Citrus Bowl to cap a solid season off and like his rival coach, Harbaugh has been on the recruiting trek himself.
Houston 100/1
This is a long shot, clearly, but this team has the talent to really make a push at the playoff and offer bettors hedging options.
Greg Ward Jr. returns for his Senior season and the Cougars have the schedule to do some damage and make their resume very nice. The Coogs get Oklahoma week 1, at home. With a win here, this team should be already in the Top 10 heading into week 2. They’ll have the tough conference tasks like last year in Memphis, Temple, and Navy, but they proved no match for them last season.

This Cougars team has plenty of talent and with a win in week 1, Houston at 100/1 would be a nice ticket to hold.
