Let’s take a look in Ray Monohan’s Week 11 NFL Power Rankings.
1. Philadelphia Eagles (8-1)
– Last Week: 1
The Eagles were off this past week, so their stranglehold on the No. 1 spot remains strong. They faded down the stretch last season, but this group has looked so good, and Carson Wentz has improved so much that a repeat doesn’t seem likely.
With that said, the NFC is strong this season, so they are going to face some stiff competition in the weeks ahead, and particularly when the postseason gets underway.
2. New England Patriots (7-2)
– Last Week: 2
We knew it was just a matter of time before the Patriots really stepped on the gas, and they clearly used their bye week to find another gear.

There are still some issues with the defense, but that group’s really solidified, and you just know Bill Belichick will keep making that unit stronger as the season progresses.
3. New Orleans Saints (7-2)
– Last Week: 7
For so many years the Saints have been a high-powered offense built on the passing game, and an absolutely lousy defense that’s held them back.
Now, the Saints are leaning on a running game that’s been among the best in the league over the past month-plus, while the passing defense has been solid ever since getting ripped to shreds in the first two weeks of the season.
And for a team that’s benefited from a strong home field advantage indoors for so many years to go into Buffalo and beat the Bills the way they just did, that really says something.
4. Minnesota Vikings (7-2)
– Last Week: 4
We knew the Vikings would win a bunch of games this year, but for the team to look as dominant as they have, and to get as much production from the quarterback position as they have with both Sam Bradford and Teddy Bridgewater on the shelf is outstanding.
This is a group whose arrow is pointed firmly upward.
5. Pittsburgh Steelers (8-2)
– Last Week: 3
The Steelers usually struggle when dropping down in class to play lesser opponents, last night was not one of those times.
That’s been a problem for this team for years now, and it’s uncharacteristic of this proud franchise.

But a road win is a road win. And Ben Roethlisberger has been looking better of late, and last night does nothing to make me think it’s time for him to hang up the cleats at the end of the season.
6. Kansas City Chiefs (6-3)
– Last Week: 6
The Chiefs were off this week and they had to like a lot of what they saw. There just hasn’t been another team that’s been able to step up and establish itself as a legitimate contender to the Patriots for the top spot in the AFC.
7. Los Angeles Rams (7-2)
– Last Week: 10
The Rams just keep winning big. There’s always something to be said about a Wade Phillips-coached defense, and this group is finally playing to the potential it couldn’t under the previous regime.
And the offense is finally moving after graduating from a basic offense to one that’s been a better fit for this young collection of talent.
8. Carolina Panthers (7-3)
– Last Week: 8
The “good” Panthers showed up on Monday night. When Cam Newton gets into a rhythm he is just lethal to opposing defenses, and the Dolphins felt that on Monday.
They now go into their bye as a top-10 team, though they’re only in the mix for a Wild Card spot with the Saints atop the NFC South.
9. Seattle Seahawks (6-3)
– Last Week: 9
The Seahawks get a much-needed extended break after a Thursday night matchup in which got pretty banged up in a win over the rival Cardinals.
Russell Wilson is still playing out of his mind, and, unfortunately for them, the offensive line didn’t look much better with Duane Brown at left tackle, though hopefully some time will fix that.
10. Atlanta Falcons (5-4)
– Last Week: 14
The Falcons looked like their 2016 edition against Dallas on Sunday. They’ve sleep-walked through the first two months of the season, but delivered their best performance of the season on Sunday.
The schedule gets a lot tougher for them from here on out, so they’ll need more performances like that one in the weeks ahead.
