Futures Odds to win the 2020 Stanley Cup – Who Ya Got?
Looking for 2020 Stanley Cup Futures Betting Odds & Picks? The NHL offseason was greatly overshadowed by the NBA’s free agency period, but there were still some very notable transactions that have the potential to have a dramatic impact on which teams are still good futures bets for 2020.

Here’s a look at 10 teams worthy of closer consideration when putting money down on NHL futures.
Let’s break it down.
2020 Stanley Cup Futures Betting Odds
Tampa Bay Lightning +750
The Lightning are the most talented team in the league, so it’s no surprise to see them atop the futures board – the only problem is they’ve been the most talented team in the league for several years and haven’t cashed a ticket for futures bettors with this core group.
Last season’s shocking postseason loss could be a rock-bottom-type situation which sees an uber-determined group return to camp, but there’s just not enough value in the ticket right now to make a play worthwhile.
Vegas Golden Knights +750
The Golden Knights may not have made any splashy additions in free agency, but they did add a star player in February who they’re keeping around.

The Golden Knights have exceeded all expectations in their first two seasons in the league, and are a definite contender for the Cup this season.
Toronto Maple Leafs +1000
Few teams have as loyal and devoted a fan base as the Maple Leafs, making them one of the toughest teams to find value in on the betting board night in and night out. But there’s no question the team’s a Stanley Cup contender this season. Some shrewd moves by general manager Kyle Dubas have freed the Leafs to re-sign key restricted free agents Mitch Marner and Jake Gardiner, while also adding Tyson Barrie and Cody Ceci to the roster to help solidify the back end.
San Jose Sharks +1200
It didn’t seem like there was a chance the Sharks would be able to re-sign Erik Karlsson, but general manager Doug Wilson made it work.
[dfads params=’groups=226&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
The cost was steep, with some talented forwards finding greener pastures in free agency, but there’s still more than enough talent on this roster for the team to remain in the hunt.
St. Louis Blues +1500
The Blues have a strong roster, so general manager Doug Armstrong kept it largely intact. Don’t expect to find value on the Blues on the futures board at any point this year after what the Blues did to books last season.
New York Rangers +1600
Looking to make one last run on the quickly-closing window of Henrik Lundqvist’s career, the Rangers made a pair of really splashy additions this offseason – signing Artemi Panarin to a free agent deal to capture the prized UFA in this year’s class, and also acquiring Jacob Trouba from the Jets for some added depth along the blue line.
Dallas Stars +1800
The Stars transformed into one of the better defensive teams in hockey this past season, and actually had the eventual champion Blues against the ropes in Game 7. The team really struggled to find secondary scoring, but the offseason additions of Joe Pavelski, Corey Perry, and Andrej Sekera should help solve that.
Pittsburgh Penguins +2500
We’ve seen the Penguins really capitalize on some under-the-radar talent, but after trading away Phil Kessel and not making much noise in free agency, it feels like their just isn’t enough of a supporting cast in Pittsburgh.
Edmonton Oilers +5000
Speaking of places we’d like to see a stronger supporting cast, Edmonton has been holding Connor McDavid back for years. It’d be really nice to see him carry the team through the first few months and force the front office to bring in some help at the trade deadline.
Montreal Canadiens +6000
It’s just so hard to picture the Carey Price finishing up his career without a Cup win in Montreal. It has to come at some point, no matter how hard Marc Bergevin tries to keep it from happening.
