Odds to Win the 2018 Grey Cup
Looking for Canadian football betting tips for the 2018 CFL season? The 2018 CFL season kicks off this week – meaning every team is in contention in this shallow league, which so often sees teams go from worst to first on the back of small roster changes – none bigger than this year’s addition of Johnny Manziel to the Hamilton Tiger Cats.
CFL Handicapping Insight
The Manziel move will of course bring a lot more attention to the league from down south – and many more bettors to the window to back the wild ride that will be the Ti-Cats’ 2018 season. Lets get to the 2018 Grey Cup Futures Betting odds and predictions.
There’s no surprise that it’s the West again leading the charge on the betting board, with oddsmakers expecting the West to continue it’s dominance over the East.
So, heading into the season can we expect one of the favorites to reign supreme or is there some value down the board?
Let’s take a look.
2018 Grey Cup Futures Betting: Calgary Stampeders +200
The Stampeders have gotten younger, but don’t be fooled – they’re still the team to beat. And last year’s disappointing loss in the final will only serve to motivate this group.

Some of the faces that moved out would be considered leaders on the team, but Bo Levi Mitchell is healthy and will play with what might be his most talented group of pass-catchers yet. With 13 or more wins in each of the past five seasons, the Stampeder dynasty is rightly tabbed as the team to beat.
2018 Grey Cup Futures Betting: Edmonton Eskimos +600
If the Eskimos had chosen to go for it on third down in the West Final a year ago, went on to win that game and then the Grey Cup, there’d definitely be a different shine on this club entering this season.
Even still, they were close a year ago, and hosting the Grey Cup will serve as added motivation for reigning MOP Mike Reilly and co.
2018 Grey Cup Futures Betting: Toronto Argonauts +1200
Toronto may have finished with an ordinary looking 9-9 record, but the Argonauts played like an inspired team down the stretch and into the playoffs.
The quarterback situation needs to shake out right, but there are some horses there, and the team has a superstar in the backfield to help smooth things over along the way. With Marc Trestman calling the shots, this could be a powerhouse in the making.
2018 Grey Cup Futures Betting: Winnipeg Blue Bombers +650
The Bombers are coming off a 12-win season and had a strong offseason, adding players like Chandler Fenner, Nic Demski, and Adarius Bowman to give the team a really good push. What hurt them was Darian Durant leaving just before camp got underway, and Matt Nichols suffering a knee injury. Nichols won’t be out as long as originally expected, but it definitely hampers their plans, and could effect their rhythm early in the season.
2018 Grey Cup Futures Betting: Hamilton Tiger-Cats +700
The Ti-Cats definitely won the battle in the press by making the biggest splash of the offseason, signing Johnny Manziel.
It’s too early to know whether that will serve as an addition or a distraction, but after last season’s 6-4 finish to the season, the team is definitely on the rise.
2018 Grey Cup Futures Betting: Saskatchewan Roughriders +750
The No. 1 order for the Roughriders! has to be keeping Zach Collaros upright.
The team had a tough time protecting him in the preseason, and if he’s going to live up to expectations in Saskatchewan, that’s definitely top priority.
2018 Grey Cup Futures Betting: British Columbia Lions +1000
The Lions would be a much more interesting team if they played in the East.
It’s easy to get lost in the wash out West, so last year’s 7-11 finish has a big asterisk beside it because of the strength of the competition.

There was a lot of turnover on the roster, but one thing that we can be sure of is that offensive line has improved immensely.
2018 Grey Cup Futures Betting: Ottawa Redblacks +1200
The Redblacks will score a lot of points this season – there’s little doubt about that.

Trevor Harris is an MOP candidate if he can stay on the field. The other side of the ball is a whole different story.
2018 Grey Cup Futures Betting: Montreal Alouettes +1200
Montreal is coming off a 3-win season, and is breaking in a former NFL coach in Mike Sherman.
He’ll have a lot of work to do in trying to turn around this once proud franchise and getting it back to its glory days.
