Super Bowl 51 Odds November 10
Ready to discuss Super Bowl LI futures? We are just over half way into the NFL’s Regular Season – time to look at the Betting Favorites to take down Super Bowl 51. No surprise – the Patriots lead the way and rightfully so with the upstart Cowboys next and the inconsistent Seahawks as third favorites. It has been a tough year to predict the cream of the crop – the NFL Power Rankings are as fluid as they have ever been.
NFL Handicapping Insight
With that in mind let’s take a look at the current Super Bowl odds and make a case for a number of teams to win it all.
The AFC seems to be locked up already but which team out of the NFC will be there to challenge?
Let’s take a look.
New England Patriots +200
I certainly can’t make an argument against the Patriots – can you?
They are head-and-shoulders the best team in the AFC and look like a lock to represent their conference in the Super Bowl. Once there who has more experience?
Who has more motivation after the deflate gate debacle? There is no reason to think New England’s offense won’t keep the foot on the pedal all season long – the intimidation factor for this club may be at an all-time high right now.

There’s no reason to overthink this one!
Dallas Cowboys +800
You gotta love what the Cowboys are doing this year – their one loss came in the season opener and they haven’t been touched since.
My problem is the lack of experience on the biggest stages and the fact that the defense is still at tad sketchy – particularly with all of the injuries lately.
Look – Dallas’s O-line can and will take this team a ways but the youth of this team is going to show up at sometime – my guess is that it happens in the playoffs.
Seattle Seahawks +900
The Seahawks are Dallas’s biggest threat to the NFC Title – for sure. Sure there are haters out there that think Seattle is destined for a road game in the first round of the NFL playoffs and an ultimate early exit.
Not so fast – this team has played banged up on both sides of the ball all season long and look as healthy as they have all season long – particularly Russell Wilson.

He is the key to this team – if Wilson can be that mobile, cerebral dual-threat guy he has been, Seattle’s defense will do its job and the Seahawks could be NFC Champs again.
I think they get it done and set up an incredible Super Bowl rematch with New England.
Atlanta Falcons +1,300
Atlanta is intriguing! The offense looks like it will score every time it takes to the field and the defense has taken a giant leap this year.
Don’t get me wrong – there are still holes on this squad particularly on D but the Falcons are as well rounded a team as they have been in years!
They could be a 7-1 team right now if not for a couple of bad bounces! If Atlanta gets a couple of home playoff dates they are dangerous at +1300.
Kansas City Chiefs +1,500
The Chiefs are a team that has played very well this year despite having key members on their stout defense out with injuries – Justin Houston specifically.
With Spencer Ware running the ball and Alex Smith being that prototypical game manager the Chiefs could be that surprise team that quietly rides a full team effort into the AFC Championship game.
Oakland Raiders +1,500
To me, the Raiders are still a piece or two away – particularly on defense. Sure this team is 7-2 (5-0 on the road) but a looks at the quality of opposition reveals a cake-walk schedule.
Oakland is playing some confident, inspired football right now but I just can’t see them marching into Foxborough and beating Belichick and Brady in a playoff game.
Pittsburgh Steelers +1,500
How about the Steelers in the AFC? They are one team that has traditionally played the Patriots tough – they may be New England’s biggest challengers in the AFC again!
This is a team that isn’t afraid of the spotlight and relishes it shots at Brady and the boys. Pittsburgh’s defense is improved over the last couple of seasons and there is no denying that Big Ben, Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown are all game-changers the likes that few teams have.
I like Pittsburgh at these odds – they are the only team I think can challenge New England in the AFC this year. Pittsburgh is my value pick this year.
Green Bay Packers +1,700
Something just doesn’t seem right in Green Bay this year – does it?
Denver Broncos +1,800 – Denver rode its defense to a championship last year and could possibly do so again. But and that’s a big BUT the offense is stuck in the mud – the running game can’t get anything going and Trevor Siemian scares absolutely nobody.

Add in the fact that injuries and age looks as though they have caught up to this team and Denver looks an awful lot like a first round playoff exit to me.
Minnesota Vikings +2,000
Defense can’t do absolutely everything!
Arizona Cardinals +2,500
Can Arizona even make the playoffs? If they do they could be a threat – Carson Palmer, David Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald and one of the best defenses in the league make them so.
I’m keeping an eye on this team – if they show any improvement down the stretch and get into a playoff position, they may be worth a shot at this price.
New York Giants +3,000
The G-Men have been there before and have rather quietly been playing some good football. They have the experience and players in the passing game to make something happen.
Add in the improved defensive play and you have an intriguing +3000 here.
Carolina Panthers +4,500
IF the Panthers make the playoffs they become great value here. Outside of Josh Norman this team is largely the same as the one that lost in the Super Bowl last year.
Something tells me we see a Panthers surge in the second half – if you are a Carolina fan, grab them now at this price!
Indianapolis Colts +5,000
Houston Texans +6,000
Houston is undefeated at home so far this year and if they win the AFC South they would get a home playoff date or two. They are a team that has taken a while to gel and by season’s end could be that cohesive well-rounded team that could make some noise.
Do I think they knock off one of the upper-echelon AFC teams though? No.
San Diego Chargers +6,000
Detroit Lions +6,500
Cincinnati Bengals +7,000
Baltimore Ravens +7,500
Philadelphia Eagles +8,000
New Orleans Saints +8,500
Washington Redskins +9,000
Buffalo Bills +12,500
Miami Dolphins +15,000 – The Fins are the best deep-sleeper out there. The enter Week 10 on a win streak – they have won on the road and at home and they possess one of the best running games in the league right now.
Their schedule lightens up as well – expect Miami to get into the playoffs and very least and make life miserable for a team or two along the way.
Tennessee Titans +20,000
Los Angeles Rams +25,000
Tampa Bay Buccaneers +40,000
New York Jets +45,000
Chicago Bears +50,000
Jacksonville Jaguars +75,000
San Francisco 49ers +999,900
Cleveland Browns – Eliminated
