Super Bowl Futures – Who is the Favorite to Win It All in 2016?
We have almost hit the half way mark of the season for all NFL teams – the cream has really started rising to the top. The way it looks now, the Packers and the Patriots will be meeting in Santa Clara February 7 for the right to hoist Football’s Holy Grail the 2016 Super Bowl – the Bengals and Cardinals look like threats as well.

Vegas has determined the favorites to win it all in early 2016 – here is a breakdown of all the odds for the big game.
Are there any teams that offer some better futures value than the top dogs?
Let’s take a look.
Patriots 14/5 – The Patriots have done seemingly whatever they have wanted so far this season – on Thursday night against the Fins was further proof. Tom Brady is playing at a different level, Dion Lewis has an insane set of skills, Gronk is on a mission and the defense has picked up just where it left off. With mastermind Bill Belichick at the helm there is no ceiling for this team – impressive in every aspect.
New England is the overwhelming favorite to win Super Bowl 50 for a reason – they are darn good. Only injury will slow this club.

Packers 7/2 – The Packers return from their bye this week to take on another one of the undefeated teams, the Broncos. It should be interesting. Green Bay has a perfect record so far and I don’t think they’ve played their best game yet. Eddie Lacy has been a disappointment and the receiving corp. has been banged up. Look for that to change and for the Packers to be the one to catch in the NFC – the defense is strong and Aaron Rodgers has been terrific.
Green Bay already has the edge in home-field throughout the NFC playoffs – they are virtually untouchable at Lambeau and my pick to win it all.
Broncos 13/2 – Vegas certainly has more faith in the Broncos than I do! Peyton Manning has been awful this year – his play only deteriorates when the weather gets colder. Thank goodness for Denver’s #1 defense – it alone will make them competitive throughout the season. But to defeat the Pats, a team has to be clicking on all cylinders – Denver definitely isn’t doing that right now.

Bengals 8/1 – Until the Bengals prove that they can win in the postseason they are awfully tough to support. That said they do look like one of the more balanced teams in the league right now. It looks as though the AFC champion will have to go through Foxborough though – the Pats are 49-4 in their last 53 games there. Tough chore!
Cardinals 8/1 – The Cardinals are also one of the more balanced teams in the game right now but they trail Green Bay by two games already in the NFC. That means a trip to Lambeau in January – yikes. But if there is a team that can do it it’s the Cards who own an explosive offense and a terrific defense. Arizona is an intriguing team – I would be a bigger supporter at 12/1 or so.
Colts 12/1 – I’m not sold on this team at all right now…are you?!
Panthers 12/1 – How about the Panthers who look like a team of destiny right now. Everything is going right – the defense is off the charts and the offense is doing enough to make the team formidable. My feeling is that Carolina will only get better as some unfamiliar faces on offense familiarize themselves. The Panthers have already proven that they can head out on the road and beat a good team when they marched into Seattle and won. Carolina is undefeated for a reason – they are good!
Seahawks 15/1 – If the Hawks were a better road team then they would have my trust but with four losses already this year they are absolutely going to have to go on the road once, maybe twice in the playoffs in order to advance. Seattle was due for a step back – this year is it.
- Giants 20/1
- Falcons 20/1
Steelers 28/1 – Big Ben is back and rested, Le’Veon Bell is out of this world and Antonio Brown should be ready to explode. Too bad about the defense!
- Eagles 28/1
Vikings 35/1 – Deep sleeper time! The Vikings are improving every week and have all the pieces in place in order to contend. Every year produces a Cinderella team – this year it’s Minnesota.
Jets 35/1 – The Jets gave the Pats quits a run in Week 7 and should be in the mix until the end. A ball control offense, New York is suited to give New England fits.

Although I like the Jets, I just can’t see them beating New England. That doesn’t stop me from having the Jets as my beep AFC sleeper though – if Tom Terrific gets injured the Conference is WIDE OPEN!
