Both can also dish it out with the best and each has shown the ability to take a few shots as well. So who wins this time around? Let’s take a look.
Thompson is the favorite here – his is more well-rounded than the Champ. Truth be told, Thompson looked a little better in the first fight between the two.
He largely kept Woodley at bay and was able to avoid the danger areas of his opponent. You can bet that Thompson will take his experiences and exploit a few holes that Woodley seems to have.
That said Woodley learned a thing or two in the first fight as well. He was the closer of the two fighters to ending the first match and you can rest assured that he will employ some more of his wrestling chops this time around.
The threat of the takedown will serve him well here as will his emerging striking game.

My bet is that this fight is a striking affair despite some wrestling know-how in both corners. I have to go with the sheer power of the Champ in that case.
He took everything Thompson could throw at him in the first fight and despite not being at his best, he still survived. Woodley fights angry and still feels he isn’t getting the respect he deserves.
That chip on his shoulders is the difference Saturday – take Woodley to take out the Wonderboy and to finally gain that long-overdue respect.
MMA Betting Pick: Tyron Woodley +135
