With all of that in mind who should we be keeping an extra eye on this week? Let’s break it down.
2019 The Valspar Championship Favorites:
Dustin Johnson +550
The worlds number one ranked golfer Dustin Johnson comes into this tournament as the favorite, and it really shouldn’t be much of a surprise because this has been one of the most consistent golfers over the last few months.

Last week he was tied for fifth and the week before that he finished first at the WGC-Mexico Championship. The odds are hard to work with at +550, but this feels like another week where he could finish in first.
Jon Rahm +1000
Jon Rahm has had a lot of success at this course and that is why he comes in with the second best odds but he has been inconsistent at best this year.
Last week at the players he finished tied for 11th which seems good but he shot +4 on Sunday and that really dropped him down the standings.
Shooting just even would have finished him tied for second and I think that collapse will be in his head this weekend.
Stay away from him.
2019 The Valspar Championship Contenders:
Patrick Reed +2000
Patrick Reed has struggled this year but this is a guy who has dominated this course, and that gives him a hand up this weekend.
Since 2015 he has tied for second twice and also had a seventh place at Cooperhead. This is a guy that needs to be on your betting card this weekend.
Jason Kokrak +4000
This is a weak field which means some of these guys have a lot more value. Jason Kokrak finished tied for eighth last year at this event and he hasn’t missed a cut so far this tournament.

He has been striking the ball really well off the tee and that is going to be key at such a tough course.
2019 The Valspar Championship Sleeper (+5000 or higher):
Adam Hadwin +5500
This guy won this event in 2017 and people seem to forget just how good he looked for those four days of golf. He hasn’t won since then but if you are looking for a sleeper, look at someone who has won here before.
2019 Valspar Open Picks:
The guy I do really like is – Patrick Reed +2000 to have a nice tournament and end up on top on Sunday Afternoon.
He comes into this tournament hot and with a lot of confidence, and I would expect to see him leave the tournament with a little more cash in his pocket.
