With all of that in mind who should we be keeping an extra eye on this week? Let’s break it down.
2018 The US Open Favorites:
Dustin Johnson +800
Dustin Johnson comes into this tournament as the favorite, and it’s not much of a surprise as he comes into this tournament off a win, and this a course that fits his style.
It’s got nice wide fairways and Johnson should really be able to drive the ball a long ways.
[dfads params=’groups=248&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
This is a course where a guy who can drive it a long way off the tee can make up a ton of strokes and although his price isn’t good, there is still value here with Johnson.
Justin Rose +1400
Justin Rose knows what it’s like to win the US Open coming out ahead in 2013. Rose also come into this tournament as one of the hottest golfers in the world.
He has two wins, and seems like if he’s not winning every weekend he is right up there close to the top of the leaderboards.
If he doesn’t win this weekend, look for Rose to be near the top.
2018 The US Open Contenders:
Ricky Fowler +1800
Ricky Fowler is still looking for his first win ever in a major, but he finished second in the Masters so it doesn’t look like the pressure is too much anymore.
It feels like it’s only a matter of time before Fowler wins that major and why wouldn’t he with the way he is playing. He is playing really good golf right now.
Tiger Woods +1800
Tiger Woods is a guy I am staying away from this weekend, even though I think he is going to have a really good weekend.
[dfads params=’groups=247&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
I think he is going to have one bad round and that will do him in. I still think he will do enough to finish in the top ten.
2018 The The US Open Sleeper (+4000 or higher):
Tommy Fleetwood +4000
Tommy Fleetwood is constantly in the top ten, but at the sportsbooks his odds don’t really seem great. I don’t se a lot of long shots contending this weekend but I think Fleetwood can be one of them.
If you are looking for a sleeper this weekend this is your guy.
2018 The US Open Picks:
The guy I do really like is – Justin Rose to have a nice tournament and end up on top on Sunday Afternoon.
He will win his second US Open in his career.
