With all of that in mind who should we be keeping an extra eye on this week? Let’s break it down.
2017 CJ Cup Favorites:
Justin Thomas +700
It’s really no surprise to see Justin Thomas coming into this tournament as the favorite. He just won the FedEx Cup Championship, and while most people might take a break after that he didn’t do such a thing.
He comes into this tournament having won two of the last three events he has played in. The last tournament was the only one he didn’t.
At the CLIMB classic he shot a -17 which was good enough for 17th place. He is playing some of the best golf of his career right now.
Paul Casey +1000
Paul Casey is probably the second biggest name in this tournament, and he comes into this tournament with the second best odds.
At the CLIMB Classic he had a strong Sunday climb shooting -7 which moved him all the way up -14 on the tournament and seventh place.
Although he couldn’t win the Fed Ex Cup, he is also playing really good golf right now.
2017 CJ Cup Contenders:
Jason Day: +1200
Jason Day will be competing in his first tournament since the Presidents Cup. In three of his last five tournaments he has finished in the top 10.
Although he will be working with a new caddie, he still has the talent, and coming in with the third best odds, the payouts are a bit better then the top two.
Patrick Reed +2500
Patrick Reed has had a nice break and should come back into this tournament feeling refreshed.

His last tournament was the Presidents Cup and he had a strong showing. This being the first event in South Korea I would expect a little different atmosphere that’s a bit more edgy.
He seems to step up in those type of situations and that should be the case again in this one.
2017 CJ Cup Sleeper (+7000 or higher):
KJ Choi +8000
KJ Choi is struggling coming into this event, but he is from South Korea and will be a crowd favorite all weekend.
If he can feed off the crowd this could be his special weekend.
2017 CJ Cup Picks:
The guy I do really like is – Jason Day +1200 to have a nice tournament and end up on top on Sunday Afternoon.
He has done a good job of finishing in the top ten as of late, and I think he will have a strong run up the leader-board to win.
