Winners of five straight, the St. Louis Blues head to Anaheim to take on the Pacific Division’s Ducks.
Anaheim, coming off a great 5-2 win over the Washington Capitals, will look for its fourth win in the last five games when the Blues come to town.
St. Louis Blues
It’s been a series of streaks since Mike Yeo took over as head coach of the St. Louis Blues after the organization fired Ken Hitchcock. Sitting at 12-6 under Yeo, the Blues have gone on a six-game win streak, a five-game loss streak, and are now in the midst of a five-game win streak.
Yeo’s system has clearly taken some getting used to but the Blues are right in the Western Conference playoff mix and are trying to climb back into that 3rd spot in the Central Division.

The team hasn’t been particularly great on either side of the ice. Some might say the team is completely average in many of the major statistics. The Blues sit 15th in goals scored, averaging 2.78 goals per game and also sit 15th in goals against, giving up 2.79 per game.
Offensively, Vladimir Tarasenko continues to be the go-to guy for St. Louis. He has 32 goals and 29 assists on the season, including four goals and an assist over his last five games.
Anaheim Ducks
With wins in four of the last six games, the Anaheim Ducks are playing some good hockey right now as the team makes its push toward the playoffs.
The Ducks sit 3rd in the Pacific Division currently and have some tough games coming up, including this one against St. Louis.
Anaheim’s strong suit this season has been its defense. The team ranks 9th in the NHL in goals against, giving up just over 2.5 goals per game.
The goaltending of John Gibson has been a major reason for that positive stat.
Gibson sits at 23-16-8, not nearly as good of a record as one would hope for, but he’s been solid keeping the puck out of the net. He has a 2.28 goals against average and a .921 save percentage.

Frankly, many of the losses have come because of mediocre offense.
The team sits 20th in the league in goals scored, averaging 2.73 per game. Rickard Rakell has been the team’s best scorer, putting up 29 goals and 11 assists in 58 games.
He has three goals and an assist over his last five.
NHL Betting Trends:
- The Total has gone UNDER in five of St. Louis’s last seven games
- Anaheim is 4-2 SU in the last six games
Free St. Louis Blues vs. Anaheim Ducks NHL Hockey Prediction:
St. Louis has quietly won five straight after a couple of bad losses and is looking good as we get closer to the playoffs. Anaheim has played some very good hockey as well.
At home, I give the Ducks the advantage and the team from Anaheim should get the W in this one.
4* Free NHL Betting Pick: OVER 5
We should see some goals in this one. Both teams have skaters that can put the puck in the net. I’ll take the Over in this one.
