They were deemed underdogs prior to the start of the series. They’ve been deemed underdogs in every game.
However, it’s the Lightning who have a chance to clinch a spot in the Stanley Cup come Tuesday night.
Tampa Bay Lightning
The Lightning have yet to back down from this Penguins team despite all of the tough times they’ve faced.
After falling behind 2-0 in the 2nd period of Game 5, the Lightning tallied back to back goals to even things up.

After squandering another one, the Lightning tied things up with just 3 minutes to go to send it into overtime.
Just seconds into overtime they found the game winner to cash as a big underdog and take a commanding 3-2 series lead.
Tampa Bay will now look for that same form they had in Game 4, where they dominated the Penguins at the start, racing out to a 4-0 lead.
It will still likely be Andrei Vasilevskiy in goal, as Bishop continues to recover. Vasilevskiy turned aside 31 of the 34 shots he faced in Game 5.
Pittsburgh Penguins
The Penguins inability to hold a lead has hurt them this series.
Obviously that was the case twice in Game 5, but this team once again has to question the goalie situation. Matt Murray got them to this spot, but in the Game 5 loss, the Penguins turned to Marc-Andre Fleury. He turned away just 21 of the 25 shots faced and failed on couple of opportunities down the stretch to make big saves.

Phil Kessel will look to get himself back on track here. He finished at a -1, which has been rare for him this postseason. Kessel has been the best offensive threat for the Pens thus far.
Pittsburgh hasn’t been bad on the road this season, going 26-17-4-1. Obviously the pressure is completely on here with a must win situation on hand, which means an early goal to take the crowd out of the game would be a huge momentum boost for the Pens.
