New York Islanders
The New York Islanders will finish the season without star John Tavares, who has been shut down due to a left hamstring injury. Tavares was one of the bright spots in a very up-and-down season for the Islanders.
Tavares had 28 goals and 38 assists in 77 games this season.

Left wing Anders Lee has been great for the Islanders as well. He has 31 goals and 18 assists this year, including three goals and an assist in his last five games.
The future will certainly be bright for New York thanks to rookie Josh Ho-Sang. In his 19 games since joining the Islanders, he has four goals and six assists, including one of each in his last five games.
New Jersey Devils
For the Devils, the end of the season can’t come soon enough. It’s been a very disappointing year for the team from New Jersey.
On the player front, Dalton Prout should be back in the lineup after missing the last two games due to suspension because of an interference penalty. Prout has been a decent defenseman for the Devils so the team will be glad he’s back.

The Devils have been poor on both offense and defense this year. Kyle Palmieri has been the team’s best offensive weapon, tallying 26 goals and 27 assists. In his last five games, he has a goal and two assists.
