Coming off a 5-2 loss to Minnesota, the Edmonton Oilers will look to bounce back against the Nashville Predators.
At 5-2-1 over the last eight games, Nashville has had a good streak and will look for that to continue on its home ice on Thursday night.
Edmonton Oilers
Sitting 3rd in the Pacific Division, the Oilers are not in a spot of comfortability right now and need to continue winning in order to ensure a playoff birth this year.
To do so, the Oilers need to play better hockey than they did against the Wild on Tuesday night. Some faulty defense along with a lack of capitalizing on chances led Edmonton to a bad loss.

Team points lead Connor McDavid continues to be brilliant this year. He has 59 points on the year, including 42 assists. He has emerged as a brilliant passer and uses his body control and stick handling to get close to the net and make plays.
McDavid also has 17 goals on the year, so Nashville can’t take him lightly in front of net.
Center Leon Draisaitl, who recorded his 20th goal of the year against Minnesota, has been great also. He also has 27 assists, giving him 47 points on the season.
Nashville Predators
Sitting 3rd in the Central Division, the Predators can’t be comfortable either and need to start stringing together wins. The team has done a better job recently of that, and are 5-2-1 over the last eight games.
However, a loss to the Penguins on Tuesday showed that the Predators still have a tough time stopping high-powered offenses, despite giving up an 11th ranked 2.6 goals per game.
A positive has been that the team averages 2.8 goals per game. The team has four players with 12 or more goals, including left wing James Neal.
Neal has 17 goals and seven assists. He has two goals and an assist over his previous five games.

Center Filip Forsberg has been an important piece of the offense. He has 15 goals and 17 assists this year, including three and one over his last five games.
To beat the Oilers, Forsberg and Neal will need to have solid games, as well as two-way defenseman P.K. Subban.
NHL Betting Trends:
- Edmonton is 4-8 ATS in the last 12 games
- Nashville is 7-3 SU in the last 10 games
Free Edmonton Oilers vs. Nashville Predators NHL Hockey Prediction:
Nashville has played better recently than it did for most the year. However, the Oilers are a better team and should grab a win here on the road. Edmonton gets the W in Nashville.
4* Free NHL Betting Pick: Edmonton ML
Edmonton is a better team on both sides of the ice, and the Oilers should win this game. Expect big games from McDavid and Draisaitl. I like the Edmonton money line.
