The Blackhawks look to find some consistency when they travel into St. Louis on Saturday to take on the Blues.
Chicago has dropped 3 of 4 and come in off a disappointing loss to New Jersey last time out.

As for the Blues, they had their 3 game winning streak come to and end inside MSG on Thursday as the Rangers racked up 6 goals in the win.
Chicago
The Blackhawks got the best news they’ve received in a while as Duncan Keith has the possibility of returning for Saturday’s contest.
Keith has been sidelined after undergoing surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee. He’s eligible to return on Saturday and remains question for the contest. Keith has been out since October 17th and had 2 assists with a -2 prior to his injury.
Still, Keith is such a crucial part of this Blackhawks team, his presence alone is very important to them.

The Blackhawks struggles go back 7 games as they’ve been a mess defensively. Chicago is just 2-4-1 over that span and has allowed 25 goals. On the season, Chicago is allowing 2.56 goals against. That number goes up on the road to 3.50.
With Keith boosting the defense, the Blackhawks will also get Michael Rozsival back at some point this weekend. Rozsival has been out with an ankle injury since May 7th. The news of 2 defensemen returning could not have come soon enough for Chicago.
St. Louis
The Blues 3 game winning streak came to a crashing halt in New York on Thursday as their defense completely broke down.
New York raced out to an early 3-0 and a quick goalie switch still proved to be useless as St. Louis just didn’t have enough. The Blues did show a lot of fight though as they battled back to get the score to 3-2 and 4-3, but that was all for not.
Still, St. Louis remains one of the hottest teams in the NHL winning 6 of 8.

The Blues have used the never done mentality this season and Chicago knows all about that. The Blues trailed Chicago 5-2 back on Nov. 4th after just 1 period of play. The Blues buckled down defensively and went on to win the game 6-5 in overtime.
St. Louis has not lost consecutive games in regulation this season.

With the Blues not letting losses affect them, this team is going to be special this year. They have shown they can avoid the snowball effect of letting one loss turn into multiple losses. With Chicago’s defensive problems, St. Louis should be able to take advantage of the situation.
