The Carolina Hurricanes will take the ice against the Devils on Saturday at the Prudential Center in Newark. The Hurricanes will be looking for a third win in a row after skating away with a 4-1 win in Montreal on Thursday.
New Jersey will be looking to avoid suffering back-to-back losses after falling 2-4 in Toronto their last time on the ice.
Carolina Hurricanes
Carolina has now won four of their previous five games after roughing up the Canadiens 4-1 in Montreal Thursday night. After falling behind, the Hurricanes were able to knot things up at one a piece after Elias Lindholm slid the puck between the pipes at 16:10 in the first.
Lee Stempniak was able to find the back of the net twice in the game, at 19:21 in the second and again at 5:11 in the final period.
Jeff Skinner was able to wrap things up with his 29 goal of the year at 17:57 in the third.

The Hurricanes will skate into Saturday’s game scoring an average of 2.6 goals per game, putting them at 19th in the league. They have allowed their opponents to score an average of 2.8, leaving their defense ranked at the same position.
Carolina has been able to find the net on 18.2 percent of their power play opportunities, coming in at 19th in the NHL.
Their strength has come when forced to skate a man down, only giving up a goal 19.8 percent of the time, which is good for second.
New Jersey Devils
The New Jersey Devils will be looking to avoid four out of their previous five games after falling 2-4 in Toronto Thursday. New Jersey was able to strike first with the eighth of the season from John Moore at 2:59 in the first.
The Maple Leafs were then able to run off three unanswered goals before Moore lit up the lantern at 9:04 in the third period.
The Devils not only failed to tie things up, they gave up another goal with 46 seconds remaining in the game.

Free Ottawa Hurricanes vs. Devils NHL Hockey Prediction:
Carolina has been strong with the puck as of late, scoring a total of eight goals in their previous two games.
4* Free NHL Betting Pick: Carolina -120
With the weakness of New Jersey when it comes to defending the net, I look for the Hurricane to put up at least three or four in this one in route to a third straight win.
