Tampa Bay is coming off a bye for this one. Sure it is early but after back to back losses having some extra time to prepare is probably a good thing. They are in the race the NFC South but are already behind Carolina and New Orleans. They need to kick Atlanta while they are down.

There is no doubt that Atlanta has talent but the way they are playing right now is going to get somebody fired. I am not an expert on this kind of thing but offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian might be a sacrificial lamb before game time, if only to get the team motivated.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
When the Bucs won at New Orleans in week one and then followed that up with a win over the defending champion Eagles in week two we had to take notice. Now as impressive as those wins are they are just a .500 team looking to come out of the bye stronger than when they went in – back to back losses.
The first couple of weeks it was all about Fitzmagic…and it was so much fun. Last week Jameis Winston got into the game though and I think that the magic might have worn off to the point that he has reclaimed his starting role. The question is whether that is the difference maker that gets this team back to winning.

No matter who is slinging it for the Bucs they need to be better on defense. No team is giving up more than their 35ppg and they are second worst in the league in yards allowed too. I don’t think there was any expectation that this defense would be great but somewhere more like the middle third of the league gives them a fighting chance.
The bye week is all about getting things back on track and even though this is a road game against a division rival the Bucs could not have asked for a better opponent right now. Atlanta is reeling.
Atlanta Falcons
You can make an argument that Atlanta does not have bad losses but at 1-4 their season might already be over. This is a team that is supposed to be talented enough to win their fair share of games so the fact that they are off to such a dismal start has to have the coaching staff on notice.
No matter that the coach is a defense guy the Falcons are an offense first team. Julio Jones is an elite receiver and Matt Ryan is more than good enough to get him the ball. Ryan was knocked out of the game and apparently went for x-rays after getting sacked six times by Pittsburgh. If he is not in the lineup for this one things will really get bleak in Atlanta.

Atlanta’s defense is not much better than Tampa’s which could make this one must see TV as the ball goes up and down the field. Second year DE/OLB Tack McKinley brings the heat from the edge and already has five sacks on the season. He only had six a year ago.
things will calm down a little int Atlanta if they get a win this week. It will bring them even with Tampa and maybe give them a chance to breathe. They are at home but the Bucs will have had the advantage of extra time to prepare.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Tampa Bay +3.5
Backing the Falcons this season has been a losing proposition against the spread and straight up. This line looks like there is hesitation in believing just what this team really is. They are quite simply not where we want them to be and we need to adjust. Further, that hook looks terrible.
NFL Free Week 6 Score Prediction: Atlanta 31 – Tampa Bay 28
Atlanta is about as desperate as you can get right now. That makes them dangerous, especially if Ryan is healthy and ready to go. I see this one coming down to the wire with a narrow escape for the home team. That extra point is why you take the visitors.
